Well the game's main Story quest is REALLY short... 30 floors of Dungeon. THEN the Boss

(Ordrak, a giant purple dragon behemoth thing)

After that, I really didn't know what else to do.

Exploring dungeons after that was repetitive, cause the main Story quest shows you basically every monster you fight, and all the neat dungeons.

The never ending dungeons after that seem like Boring after, cause you've killed the monsters before, nothing new. Just exact same stuff in the end, this game is okay.

Lol, try a harder difficulty... I'm playing at hard and that's just fine.

If I use strong spells I can one hit weak creatures, but the big ones will slaughter you if you don't think.

This game is too much like the Fate game. The pet, the gem upgrade system, fishing, even the character design is somewhat similar. I know the guy who developed Fate now leads the development team for Torchlight, but the whole thing bears the signs of self-plagiarism... Other than that, the game is a really addicting and entertaining no-brainer.

torchlight is really fun and its a good game but youll lose interest in it after a week or so. you run out of stuff to do pretty quickly. when the MMO version is (hopefully) released, it'll make the game a lot better.

If you guys are still on the fence about this game. Its awesome. Looking to kill some time, this game will suck you in. Only two cons I can think of. It doesnt have a multiplayer feature and it has a very long loading time on everything. Other than that, its great and worth the money.

Hopefully long loading times will be reduced in the upcoming patch. Personally, I don't think the game is good for multiplayer other than coop mode, but MMO (we'll have to wait for that) is a different story and gives a new dimension to Torchlight.

I have only one con: the game is too short even with endless dungeon and limited level of gear (unlike Fate Traitor's Soul). I can only hope for good mods from runic and the community to expand Torchlight experience.

Also people, if your waiting for D3, you can get median xl mod for D2, which makes the game almost into an entirely different game. It's well balanced, got some vid up of myself playing it if your not sure about it.

Try the "Eastern Sun" diablo 2 mod instead, i found it to be alot more fun than Median, even though it was a while since i played it. One of the best points about it is that you can easily respec your skills and that you can enhance your gear almost indefinately.
