Yeah. That's where it comes up to. I live in consumer society. I know what it is... and i don't like it! Nobody really does. But my parents lived in USSR. And they have seen one huge failure of utopistic idea of communism. It didn't work either and hurt (literally) millions of people. Cubas card-system might seem nice but teenagers selling their bodies for pair of thighs is not. That what is happening in Cuba right now is so familiar for a person with USSR background. We need more resources? We will create them. In my corner of the world, it cost 20-40K$ to electrify a house with solar pannels and it get cheaper by the year. Canada alone got enough Oil to support the world for a millenia. We have barely dented the Uranium reserves of the world.
