Before that the Temple that stood there had been a temple to Zeus which had been taken over and "cleansed" by the Maccabees. The contemporary Jewish priests all had greek names. Jewish PRIESTS! Different religion altogether. Different people who have no SOLE right to any such land.
The bible is not a hitorical source

Alexander the Great converted the Jewish temple into a temple for Zeus, the Maccabees cleansed it from the pagan-Greek statues during the Jewish revolt... By that time the Greek empire had a huge cultural influence on every nation they conquered, and adopting Greek names was common throughout the entire empire to gain popularity by the leaders and commercial success... Still, Jews in Israel for over 3000 years...

I'd suggest you to look further, you'll see that the Egyptians never made it this far and abandoned their campaign. Beside, you know what the difference is? The Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Roman, Arab, Crusaders, Mamluk, Ottomans and the British were mere conquerors. For them this land was nothing more then a province in their Empire. The Jewish nation, had this land for homeland. The only nation with Jerusalem as capital.

They clearly state:

There would be no Israel if Brittan had lost the 1st world war. Judea has always been codependent or under the thumb of another empire.

@ZhugeNaut Have i said the bible is an historical source? no. i think it was written by bronze-age people who wanted to overpower their deity, and thus exaggerated. BUT, as i HAVE written before, some of the text is right. Herod did not build the temple, he renewed it. the temple was built ages before and thus a "temple to zeus" could not exist there. please don't try to rewrite history.

Thus...you have no idea what you are talking about. The temple which sat on the West wall was Herods temple.That is what it was called by its contemporaries. Its use in Judaism is political. Herod was no Jew. Herod was trying to keep a revolt off his hands.
Now his temple is used to justify a land grab.

In '67 israel DID attack first, but it was a preemptive strike. It was only done due to the fact the egypt blocked the tiran strait, evacuated the UN forces keeping the sinai area demilitarized and placed some 150 thousand troops in there. it's obvious that if israel had not attacked first, egypt would.

And btw, the "Palestinians" ARE the ones that don't have any sole right to this land. Mark Twain, Alexander Keith, Alphonse de Lamartine, have all been here before the jewish settlement. they tell that israel was abandoned, barely inhabited. most of the "Palestinians" were work immigrates, sponsered by the ottomans that needed to build infrastructure to the jews.

All those people said that..."Israel was abandoned?" Why were they calling it Israel? The Balfour declaration which allows for a "Jewish homeland INSIDE the land of Palestine" does not mention any Israel. So I would assume they're biased or you never read what they said yourself.

Jacov has renamed himself to "Israel", so his sons were called Sons of Isreal, or "Am Israel". he had 12 sons, later became the 12 tribes. they split into two kingdoms - judea and benjamin's tribes ruled in the area now called The "west bank", and the rest in the "Galil". in around 700bc the assurians exiled the 10 tribes who later converted and... lost. thus we are now called jews, for we are the descendents of judea.
