  • My power was out during this game. All I had was a generator and a computer to keep me updated. The last seconds I thought it was over and had to keep refreshing the score on ESPN. BAM. App State won.

  • I was there, a sophomore at the time!

  • This never gets old for Notre Dame fans.

  • @420Guitar420 thank u dude im a huge nd fan ive watched this so many times

  • @420Guitar420 that's because this game distracted anyone from noticing how terrible Notre Dame was against Georgia (I think) that day.

  • @Knightmessenger You act like it's a secret that Charlie Weiss can't coach.

  • @420Guitar420 How many meaningful games has Notre Dame played in the last 15 years? And won? How many good teams have they beaten?

And how many coaches have they had in that span? I don't think that has been their problem.

  • @Knightmessenger Just last year they beat #5 Utah, U$C, and Miami. lol.

  • @420Guitar420 Utah is a mid major, USC and Miami were decent but not the powers they once were.

Besides, what did those wins get the Irish? What national significance did they have. What impact on other teams did that have?

If you were a fan of Ohio State, Wisconsin or Michigan State last year, you had good reason to follow the other two teams games the final week. When did the outcome of a Notre Dame game matter to someone who's not a fan of either team?

  • @Knightmessenger It's not my probably that you didn't like the answer. I'm sure you would have an excuse for any answer I gave you. Regardless I'll be an ND fan till I die.

  • @420Guitar420 I think the problem for Notre Dame is being the only major school without a conference that isn't a service academy.

If they lose once or twice and drop out of BCS contention, they have no conference championship to continue playing for. And most bowls have conference tie ins. They've isolated themselves from the rest of the FBS landscape. And I think that has made it harder for their teams to get as motivated for their games as their opponents do.

  • its ight michigan is the winingest team in the ncaa whats one lose

  • @TheRunefan when michigan fans are still talking about it almost 5 years later..................

  • @TheRunefan It's just that it was a big upset is all.

  • Nice throw at end

  • dont fuck w/ a champianship team, mich shudda just playd like temple or western kentucky idk lol

  • To those of us who love Boone, NC., this was sweet. I was feeling bad that day, until I happened to notice that there were football games being played, and Appalachian was beating Michigan. When ASU did win, I was going crazy..easily my most memorable sports-watching moment.

  • Greatest upset in sports history? No. Giants over Pats was better. Warriors over Mavs was better. Now, APP State is much much much more worse than Michigan, but that doesn't mean it's a better upset because the game meant nothing.

  • @ksx1988 how did it mean nothing?

  • @JaybeeBowman I wouldn't call it the greatest upset in sports history, that still belongs to Team USA over USSR in 1980 Hockey. But it is the greatest college football upset ever.

  • @PsychoPoker Nothing comes close to USA over USSR in Lake Placid, but this is still my favorite NCAA football upset.

  • Its too bad Bob Ufer wasn't alive to witness this LOL

  • GREATEST MOMENT IN NCAA HISTORY.... this is one of my top 5 fav moments

  • @cpcoasternut John Elway losing to CAL was better.

  • w00t!
