When you arrive in heaven, and St. Peter is standing at the pearly gates asking you to take a number, this song plays on repeat in the background... and you think to yourself, "life was good ... but this is better" :)
I love this song so much..There is a very special atmosphere in it...very unique and give me such a good feeling...This is the kind of music that touches the deepest of my heart...Its so beautiful that it nearly hurts...Jonsi is magical..
I hope you don't seethis as a spam, but I thought this might interest some of you..
I found a band on youtube called "Nyctalgia"
If you've got time, listen to their song "Lost in timeless horizons"
Breathtaking, powerful masterpiece by this young guy...
There's a moment, in a piece of music, that everything just comes together, and it can just be.
Listening to this is like that, there's no start or stop and you can just forget everything for a moment. It allows you to just stop and think, or remember.
Thanks for the fantastic video to fit a fantastic song :)
if you give me the news today I'm going to die and I was 5 minutes 54 seconds of life. this song would be my last wish.. and this video has the perfect flash of my life thanks make my day
i have to say, that the end with the boy and woman is genuinely one of the most deep routed disturbing things i have ever seen, when the boys bed started moving, i got a shudder of fear through my body, what ever you evoked in me, i was not comfortable with, but well done none the less for evoking it, im afraid i shall not watch this video again though, i really cant watch the end again, so weird, SO WEIRD
Jonsi and Alex are so inspiring music like this makes me write all the time SO beautiful ... Alex Somers is very talented too he should join Sigur Ros! Anyway , they shoud collaborate more !
But macker... isn't the experience that one gets from something that is meant to be "aesthetically pleasing", give meaning to that piece in a way only that person can explain? So essentially, you are both arguing without purpose. We are all born with a different voice, just let it be heard.
Tell me what it all means then Macker202. Let us see what you know about it. I go by feelings not pictures. And I read Lewis Carroll. Therefore I have an imagination.
Stop trying to find meaning in it for starters. I write music, and I've worked with a myriad of other people that also write music and I've never met a single one that's been pompous enough to say "le'ts give this piece of music meaning". It's there to be aesthetically (entirely subjective) pleasing, nothing more.
@BlakeAndJon So you're another of those people that believes everything should "have meaning" are you? Does it not occur to you that things can just simply be written purely to be aesthetically pleasing?
Also; "I read Lewis Carroll. Therefore I have an imagination." is without a doubt the most rediculous statement I've heard in quite some time. Reading isn't a creative process so how you came to the conclusion that you have an imagination because of it is beyond me.
that show has SO much good music in. Its got burial and roots manuva in as well. And this!! whoever chose the music for that show is a legend. Whoever wrote the script is crazy :D hehe
Too right. I've also heard tunes from Burial (can't remember which ones though) and also John Murphy's "Going Home" during the last series when that horrible shit had that gun.
The end hit me like a ton of bricks. I just layed here, speechless, not knowing what to think. The boy. The woman. Both were somehow intertwined, but how? The fish, the deer were aswell. The horse and the digsite...Let's just say that without the music that video wouldnt have made ANY sense. The music tied it all together. Watching the fish calmed me and gave me that inspired feeling, but the collapse of both the child and woman abruptly ended that. Can anyone make sense of this all for me?
You've completely missed the point of the track if you can't listen to it without seeing pictures along side it. Perhaps you should go back to reading books with pictures in to illustrate the storyline.
你想表達什麼呢?At first, I simply feel it, but no clue what you want to express. Second time, I try to figure out the relation between scenes logically, but still, no clue..though many here said it's brilliant..well, guess this is art, or it's just I'm not enlightened...或是文化差異使然?
Gamlefilm, nice video project... really. Jonsi and Alex can inspire alot of people, but not many can express it in the way that you have done. stunning
"What color is your sky? Mine is a field of hope, spread across my gaze uplifted. Air rises with my dreams within the liquid clear, back-lit by golden globes that make currency of my life's breath. A lifetime of fear in the palm of my best friend's hand, led into the depths, to swim, to breathe, to learn from the chasm of her eyes"
I've played this music in my mind, beneath the water as I conquer my fear week by week. This year I learned to swim, to dive.
its great, but from the kid in the hospital bed and forwards looks to creepy for my eyes. i think is just me, but thats enough for scare me.and i am really scared man, but this is beautiful. i wont see it again...
