  • I really like this spot - very likable couple.

I wasn't raised LDS. I converted at 19 while a Marine. This church really is different. No one is asked to take the word of anyone else in deciding whether or not the Book of Mormon is from God. Not the word of missionaries or parents or other Mormons. Not even Joseph Smith. In fact, they are specifically asked NOT to take anyone's word for it, but to accept the invitation in Moroni 10:3-5 and ask God sincerely themselves. He'll answer. He did me.

  • @orcldw I agree with you and it is so ironic those who claim we brainwash clearly no nothing about our faith. It is the one faith I have personally found that actually encourages you to think for yourself. I myself could never choose any other faith. I am with you I will never deny my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!!

  • I love these! Love your peace and joy that I find in the church and especially the message of the good news of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ on the earth today. There is no more important message. I love my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ my life would mean nothing without Him. My prayer is that all may know His unconditional love, joy and peace.

  • Hmm a mormon interesting, so like congratulation?...

  • @TheKroMusic yes I think so she is simply sharing her values, where she is now and that by direct consequence she is where she is today based largely upon her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and more specifically the teachings which he taught have directly impacted and shaped where she is today.

  • I like this video. But what I don't get is, why are there so many videos about being Mormon? Why aren't there videos about being Christian or Muslim or Catholic? I am genuinely confused. I don't really understand the whole 'prejudice against mormon's' thing. I honestly don't understand why the prejudice is there and what made people think whatever they're thinking about Mormon's. I have a Mormon friend and she seems pretty much the same as me - no different.

  • @TheRealShowdown it is possible to find many other videos of other faiths on youtube as I have seen them. However I think the reason for prejudice or demeaning others without thinking or investigating fully before commenting are one of the all too common failings in human nature. I was raised Mormon and was always taught to love my savior Jesus Christ and to live by His example always and to love all unconditionally. It is my faith which taught me to do so even if I do not agree with them.

  • Wait im from the Uk, whats a mormon?

  • @RandomKid1231000 Someone who believes in the organization of the primitive church as it existed during the lifetime of Jesus Christ and the twelve apostles. We believe Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour and the cornerstone to all of our teachings and beliefs it is His gospel which we revere, teach and promote. We believe His gospel was restored fully nearly two centuries ago by another prophet named Joseph and we mostly believe in kindness. This is my religion and faith God bless.

  • but that excludes what Jesus said, '' Unless a man be born-again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God''. ACTIONS WILL NOT GET YOU INTO HEAVEN; you have to have salvation and then you can perform good deeds and actions. after all, the Bible DID NOT say works will get you to Heaven. Faith and works will work together with your salvation or after you receive salvation.

  • @Musicsan3 ...and so we also believe. Actions and words are important of course actions tend to speak much louder and we believe that it does matter how we live versus just philosophizing and waxing intelligent in our own eyes. I am not saying you do but coming from a University background it seems man is all to easily impressed with himself but I believe we must always remember our Heavenly Father is above us all. I also believe in showing unconditional love to our neighbors of all faiths.

  • ummmmmmm what is mormon ?

  • @luzzy321 a disciple of Jesus Christ and one who strives to follow His teachings and His Gospel of "Good News" as recorded in the New Testament. Our first article of faith states: We believe in God the Eternal Father, His son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost.

Basically, our religion is simple we believe in kindness. This is what Christ taught and what we believe in and strive for. The two greatest commandments are to love God and to love our neighbor unconditionally.

  • @pangea7777 thats beautiful ! (:

  • But who said that Mormons don't work like everyone else? I haven't seen ANY Mormon segregation ever.

  • @pirkid01 Exactly we never practiced segregation contrary to what some other so-called Christian churches may or may not have done. We believe that we are all children of God. There are more non-caucasion members of our church than not and more non-Americans in our faith than not.

  • While in trying to tell us what they do in their lives and how "normal" they are while being LDS, they've also fallen into the trap suggesting that being Mormon can get you all these qualities in life, which just isn't true.

  • @chbrules I suppose it all depends upon how willing you are to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. Just as if you want to be healthy yet you do not eat healthy or excercise I can guarantee you that you will never see a change unless you are willing to make it yourself.

  • hory shet she doesent afraid of anything!

  • good video, I like it!

  • does it rally matter for what religion u are that makes do what u do in life and how u go about daily living. there are so many stereotypes about about people and there religions or where they come from. If does not really matter what religion u come from it only matters about what u do and how u treat ur fellow man and woman. people only seem to think about the evils in life from old ideas and thoughts. maybe we should move past that and go on with our lives.

  • @mlolling I have to agree with you that what really matters is what we do and not what we profess to believe. It makes no difference if there is no action. Some other so-called "Christian" church claim we believe we are "working our way to heaven" which actually is silly. We believe that what is most important is showing love unconditionally to all others by our actions, words and deeds. Faith without works is dead as it says in the New Testament. In the end actions matter more than words :-)

  • @mlolling i dont think you guys get it. These commercials aren't telling us what they do for a living. The point is to tell us that just because their mormon they are just like every body else. duh.

  • @mlolling Good comment!

  • Very odd. Why would a church spend so much money on such a campaign to convince others they are 'normal.' So odd on a variety of levels.

  • @googlebeaglie no more odd than those who have nothing better to do than do post negative comments on people simply trying to better themselves by following and centering their lives on the teachings of Jesus Christ.
