Wowzers. That was great! I've been having weekly lessons with Steve Caddick now for about a year and a half and would love one day to be able to play to your level. Loved it!!!
Given your level of skill on the tenor, if you decide to take up the plectrum, you'll progress at a fantastic pace while discovering a new world of possibilities---that's what I did after playing tenor for ten years. Go for it! You'll take off like a rocket in no time.
Excellent (from another tenor banjo player). I'm at my office now, so I don't have my banjo. When I get home later I'll play along with you, since your fingering and voicing are so easy to see. Always wanted to learn that tune. By the way, your right hand is terrific.
-Thanks for informing me about this one. I must say- I like your use of triplets? or more like quintuplets I guess, the almost tremelo stuff. I wish I could do that, it is such a trademark in old dixieland banjo. Reminded me of Harry Reser or Roy Smeck, good work!!
Oh, Ken, what a joyous diversion in today's bleak world! What talent! Those fingers must have been traveling 500 mph! That is indeed, a 'jump for joy' piece of music awesomely executed! Looks like Kelsey has the know how to make her dad look good! Love ya!

Wow! Outstanding - Ken you need to quite your day job -- you are getting too good for this media!
Do you find triplets easier on the tenor --compared to the mandolin that is?
Also it seems as thought you like a little flex in the pick with the tenor?
I am assuming as based on your earlier reply (0.9 mm thickness).
Just out of curiosity what kind do you use on the manodolin?
Anyway great job.

Thanks Bernie! I guess I find triplets easier on tenor, never really thought about it. I use a 1.5mm Blue Chip pick on mandolin.
