  • Hey look it's a weedwacker exhibition...lol. I think the tailpipes are trying to compensate for something ;)

  • That Cressida in the Japanese car video was clean.

  • Is the Kenworth your new daily commuter? XD

  • Hey Eric, Those Jap Cars in the Parade are souped up with a style called, "Bōsōzoku". Check it out, there are some sick ones out there. Definitely a "different" type of auto art form.

  • Your dad sounds like the coolest of the cool.

  • Those Japanese car show reminds me of 50's cars with really large fins and lights that look like afterburners. I think they where going for that effect on modern compacts cars.

  • @moofushu I had the same thought, but if that really is what they are going for they need to go back to the drawing board

  • you always post great stuff.

  • that last video hahaha.

  • bit late but,......

  • @marsL001

    zjid i almost forget

    BEST TEACHER EVERRRRRRR

  • @marsL001 Better late than never. Good to see you as always.

  • I saw a beat up civic at a local car show out here that had the whole ridiculous tailpipe....And being a car electronics installer, the brake light horn trick is a classic. Another option, for a more incognito prank, horn hooked up to power windows. Also hilarious. Stay dirty Eric.

  • @hellraiser319 I like it, thanks for the input.

  • Youtube is sucking allover the place. I wish they would figure it out and leave it alone.

  • Awesome Eric..

  • Hey eric thanks for posting the prank vid! I will send you some other cool stuff later this week. Stay dirty and keep up the good work, luv this channel!

  • The exhaust pipes are called boso exhaust, at least I think that's what it is, it may be a shortened name for it.

  • thanks dad

  • I like the new garage!

  • The pipes at the Japaneese car show was just wrong in so many ways,,, LOL I laughted so hard. Eric I need a Eric the car guy hat, how can I get one?

  • @James1toknow Available at the ETCG store now, link over at the website.

  • I didnt realise how big your shed was until you put a truck in it :S

  • Will Mr. Eric. it's OFFICIAL NOW! You are a celebrity! I was searching the Technical forums on honda vehicles. And there was a link to your channel. The dude commented saying "Thanks, great video and he's very entertaining too." If I ever take an automotive class i'm going to heavily reference your videos to my colleagues.

  • @tehatemachine Cool. I also liked when I was at the tool show and a fan asked to take their picture with me, coolest thing ever. Seriously though I just like helping people with my videos, if they are popular and help me support my family I'm good to go. Thanks for the comment.

  • @EricTheCarGuy Yeah You're a good guy eric. this video is a great epilogue to the background pic on your channel and shows us a bit more about yourself.

  • Dad's contribution was the Best without a doubt!!! However, the Packard driver was a close second!!!

  • T&A always makes me smile. Thanks!

  • lol he said smut

  • This video started by addressing exactly what I just did. Weird. I did wonder how you would reply to me... I underestimate that voice in my head sometimes.

  • @nightpwner I know the feeling...

  • Bōsōzoku also have a distinct style of car modification, eponymously called "bōsōzoku style". These cars are often modified with large exhaust pipes, bright paint, and large aero kits.

  • im sorry that this has nothing to do with the video...but i was changing my dads oil for the first time and i screwed up big time, this was my first time ever doing it my self but when i put the oil filter on i was using a wrench to tighten it and i accidently puctured the filter...im just wondering if that is a real bad mistake for a first timer?

  • @365bigjoe just go get a new filter. also it only needs to be hand tight.

  • @365bigjoe No we all make mistakes, just replace the filter and you should be fine. BTW DON'T install a filter with a wrench, just turn it about 1/4 turn by hand after it bottoms out against the block.

  • cheers

  • That's an awesome hazing video. Just how a joke is supposed to be: embarrassing with no way to get hurt.

  • That was a late 70's Maro not and early one. That truck looks freakin badass as the back drop BTW!

  • i have a question am using royal purple oil but i have being told if i use a non Synthetic oil my engine can blow

  • Good stuff ...stay dirty

  • have a nice weekend Eric!

  • @MAXSTUNNA You too!

  • that was some funny hazing. he came to ask the tech what it could be and they said it should reset haha. he overlooked how the brakes operate haha

  • @Placer Yea that was pretty funny. Thanks for the comment.

  • where do i put vid so you can see them??

  • @prayb4udie

you can email them to Eric

  • @IIGrcan you give me a link to his email. thanks

  • @prayb4udie Send them to my email, easiest thing to tell you on that is to goto my website and click the 'contact' link at the bottom of any page and it will come up.

  • That has to be scripted otherwise how stupid must you be not to know why the horn sounds when you apply the brakes.

  • @IIGrayfoxII It's all part of being the 'new guy'.

  • @EricTheCarGuy

I can understand hazing the new guy but i have no skills in auto mechanics i and would know that a horn wire is connected to brake lights in some way.

  • the japanese car show sounds like a weedwhacker showdown lol

  • @6speeddakota Yea it kinda does.

  • Love those Japanese cars! Lol people here in the USA would probably give you shit for it but dam they are nice

  • @alherchenreder Yea JDM stuff is cooler than the stuff they send here.

  • The 8 foot tailpipe cars are called bosozoku, it's a type of car culture in Japan.

  • @SexyAndlKnowIt Interesting, thanks for the info.

  • You should talk with the bug guys at Youtube, since my subscription to your channel is also evidently 'broken', and another subscriber at the forum on your website said the same thing. With most of my subscriptions, there is an automatic appearance of subscribed new videos in my subscription list. Yours aren't there. It's no bother to me, because I visit often enough. But for less regular subscribers there seems to be no message advertising a new video has been posted.

  • @spelunkerd That might be because of how and wen I upload my videos however if you visit my website the latest video is always displayed in the player but I post Mondays and Fridays every week usually in the morning.

  • Hey Eric, My dad has a 1941 Studebaker Champion 4 door (With suicide doors) 6 cylinder. It has been sitting in a garage literally rarly touched for 12 years. I am trying to get my dad to get it out and us try and at least get it running. it is like a darker green color. The paint job looks good from the left side. none is chipping or flaking. I would love to get it to run even just for parades. do you think That a simple fluid change and inspection could get it to run?

  • @13FravelJ Yes. Check the points in the magneto as well you may have to take an emry board to them if they are corroded. And I advise you to use some upper cyl lube of some kind before initial startup. Don't forget your lead additive in your fuel.

  • @13FravelJ I've done work on stuff that old and the worst is letting them sit like that because all the rubber seals go bad and dry rot. They are built like tanks though and simple to work on. About the best advice I can give is to try. I would drain the gas however and start with fresh as gas goes bad and it won't start as a result. Also before you actually start it crank the engine for a while with the coil wire shorted to get the oil circulated first. Good luck.

  • @EricTheCarGuy Is squirting oil down into the piston area from the spark plug whole good for long time storage to keep the pistons from siezing up?

  • @EricTheCarGuy when I go to Circulate the oil should I leave the spark plugs out or do I put them in?

  • would I have to rebuild the engine

  • Hey Eric, I watched that Mrs. Macs beef pie commercial and I did not expect that to happen,

  • @13FravelJ yea sorry about that.

  • Hey Eric, Getting the new guy is so wrong but it is even more so funny. plus in that video he asked his co-workers what causes it, and they say to drive it some and it will stop. I thought he would catch that. I am a tech in school and when the instructor is not there at the time we play around some to let off steam.

  • @13FravelJ I like that kind of prank because it shows some forethought and makes you 'think' about how the system actually works, best kind of 'prank' in my opinion.

  • great episode! The new guy at my shop sure has somthin in store for him one of thees days. O Yeah !

Thanx for the inspiration. I guess i will come up with a variant of that brake light/horn prank.

  • @Formula400Pontiac yea that was a good one.

  • So THAT'S what it feels like to be featured! lol I knew you'd enjoy some American Muscle. Japanese exhaust..... Uhm.... That's a commercial for beef patties? It makes me want to go to "Vietnam" and eat some "Kitty Cat". ;-)

  • @JTheGuitarPlayer Indeed it is, thanks for your submission and for your comments as always.

  • misses macs beef pies. the crusty top lmao

  • Unless video #36

  • enemies too. awesome fatr. was laughing through a lot of it. thanks.

  • We use to haze new techs by unscrewing the rubber blow tip on an air nozzle and filling it with hot sauce from Taco Bell. We would sneak up behind htem at the end of the day and blast them with hot sauce.

  • @paxilill You should get it on video next time, it sounds like FATR material.

  • Oo Uhhh waooo. I love the truck in the background!! It looks so - well, absolutely manly. Best background ever!

  • @s24738 I liked it too. Thanks for the comment.

  • @salpta There wasn't any nudity but it does catch your eye. :)

  • Way to see you in a good mood Eric. Keep it up! ^^

I was crying at the brake light prank video. Took me 5 minutes to pick myself off of the floor. I needed that! XD
