  • a man stands for !

  • @lucyinthesky, the interview is on the special features section of the 10th anniversary DVD of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead.

  • could someone please send me a link to this interview, or at least tell me what to search for in order to find it, because i've been trying all different combinations of things in that darn search bar and i cant seem to find it anywhere. it would be much appreciated. heartbreaking video <3

  • I don't think I would be able to listen to ''Fade into you'' without thinking about Gary Oldman. It's a wonderful connection and for that I thank you. I also saw the Rosencrantz and Guilderstern interview and it impressed me so much, he impressed me so much. You captured the greatest and somehow saddest moments of it. Thank you!

  • wrinkles or not I still love this man. I loved back when he was joe orton and jim Gorden. I loved when he wasyoung, i loved him when he was middle aged, I love him now at 52 with a few more wrinkles and I'm still love him when he's old and on his death bed, and no hair. because lets face it, where's no man like Gary Oldman. He's talented, beautiful and one of a kind. Die hard Gary Oldman fan!! P;) from New Cross, England!!

  • well i don't think your vid is good. I don't think it's bad either. Just a bit of editing idol worship it looks like . not an insult - just observation. gary's a lucky guy and great actor.

  • For a first attempt, you did an excellent job. Wonderful vid, he looks great, and his words are so true. Thanks so much for sharing this!

  • god. i love this man. i have news for him. he's not too old. i saw a background of him older, a little grey hair, glasses, in a tux i think and he was so handsome. i wish i could remember who had it. he would be awesome. i wish the powers that be realized that.

    awesome video!!!

  • ecelent! loved it! FIVE STARS!

  • it's 7:30 in the morning. i made coffee earlier and finished something for a friend. thought i would watch a few gary vids to start the day. i'm sitting here with tears streaming down my face. your video has the most moving and touching gary moments i've seen. goes right to my heart. it's beautiful. thank you so much. 'not enough stars' to rate this one.

  • thanks for sharing gal!

  • @garyoldman4me Wow, I know it's been a long time since you commented but just wanted to say thanks. Much appreciated.

  • I've always thought of Gary Oldman as a brilliant actor and a charming man but thanks to these bits of interview I've understood he's an intelligent and sensible person.

  • Gary Oldman is one of my faves.

  • I don't think Ben Afleck is a good as Gary but that's just my opinion and everybody has one. Love the video.

  • haha I'm pretty sure that was supposed to be a joke. Ben Affleck is awesome, but his acting abilities are undeniably poor

  • Hollywood can keep it's "stars". Gary Oldman has more talent and integrity in his pinky finger than the rest of Hollywood actors combined. Nobody else holds a candle to this man.

  • I saw this interview last year when I rented the R&G are Dead DVD. It was so raw. I've never heard of any actor being so honest - at least not in a DVD extra. Shocking. Gary Oldman is my hero.

  • Not only did I fall in love with this video you made but now I am going to look into Mazzy Star

  • Found the interview! :oD

  • The Hollywood obsession about youth and money really pisses me off! It's all so shallow and hollow and I think it's affecting the process of filmmaking very negatively. Who wouldn't get an existential crisis when it's all about the money and not the talent anymore! It's so frustrating to hear that the studios and not the directors make all the decisions in most of the productions.

  • Great video! I love it! I love the way you cut in parts of the interview in it! And the melancholic atmosphere of the song fits perfectly!

The interview seems to be a very good one indeed! But WHERE CAN I FIND IT? I have the DVD of R&G but without any special features! :o(

It's so sad to hear him talking like that. He's such an amazingly talented actor and it's always a pleasure to see him acting! But I'd rather see the whole interview, before I make any comment about it.

  • guys this is all about fame, and fame isant talent.

look at paris hilton for 1, jesus christ why hasant she been shot yet???PPL GIVE GARY A CHANCE!!!!

  • The only way to be famous nowadays is to do anything Hollywood asks you to do. Play the main character in an overdone guy-makes-bet-to-date-girl-and-ends-up-falling-in-love flick? Okay! Go to all the Hollywood parties and end up doing something stupid on TV? Sure! Pick fights with anyone and everyone over absolutely nothing? Uh huh!

It's stupid. In a way, I'm glad Gary's not into all that shit. I wouldn't mind seeing him get more attention, though. He's one of the few who really deserve it.

  • Im writing a romance script for Gary as he said he will never be able to do a rom-com,I think this is poppycock,I hope that Gary might recieve a romance script some day, it would be an absolute treat to see hes appealing, charming, delightful, stunning, amusing, clever and precious...what else do producers of chick flicks ask for- a leading man that must be in his teens, be athletic and youthful.

Gary is not...but bring us something new bring us the legend that is Gary Oldman...

  • I think he meant he finds the "romance only" roles too simple for himself. As if he followed the Player from Ros&Guil "but I can't do you love

and rhetoric without blood.Blood is compulsory"

He always chooses to play complex figures.

  • Noooooooooooo...you are not too old, I would watch you if you did a romance film...i would watch anything you are in...you are lovely...Gary Oldman forever xxx

  • That was so beautiful. It actually brought me to tears. I don't know what it is about him, but Gary gets me so emotional. That's odd because I've ALWAYS been VERY un-emotional. I never cry. =/ Now every time I see the man I want to cry. He's just so fucking beautiful, in every way.

I feel so bad for Gary. SOMEBODY CAST HIM AS THE LEAD IN A FUCKING ROMANTIC COMEDY ALREADY! That's all the man wants! >_< And he'll NEVER be too old! I'm sure you guys agree with me. =)

  • I'd go see it, that's for certain. Hell, if Jack Nicholson is good enough for a rom-com, why not our lovely Gary?!!

  • This guy gets me crying just looking at a still from a movie where it looks like he might cry. There is definately something that just makes your emotions run with this man.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one. =)

  • Love it!!!

Great video, great song, great actor! Where did you get the interview from? Would love to see the whole thing.

  • The special features on Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead.

  • Thanks for that, now all I gotta do is find myslef a copy.....

  • You can find it on garyoldman dot info, too. That's what I did. =)

  • Thank you, you're an angel. :)

  • It's no problem. ^_^

  • noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!never too old, dats it im gona start to write a romantic comedy and Gary is gona be in it!!!!!!!!

  • Right on! :) I'll sponsor it... :P
