  • I believe that God's grace is required to turn away from sins. If we can't live in perfection by our own means how can we live the life God requires in our own ability. so repentance "to change your mind" is simply acknowledging our position as sinners and trusting Jesus to save us from and out of our sins by his grace.

  • @Valanor1 I believe that repentance is actually more than that. The Hebrew meaning of the word means to "turn around", to literally start walking in the opposite direction of sin. For Christians are required to "walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Romans 8: 1 Also, "Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts..." Isaiah 55: 7

  • It's a shame because I don't actually hear much of the gospel in this video. In fact the Bible and Quran concur on many matters, it would have been more interesting to read and compare texts.

  • I wouldn't really call this preaching the gospel... preaching the gospel to me is reading chapters from it. You could have read out Mark 11 for example, and the gospel according to John on the same events. Then one could also read extracts of Al Baqqarah on the subject of Usury or "Riba".

  • One question I do have is, what is there beyond the Gospels in the bible? What makes the rest of the bible legitimate?

  • Legitimate in what sense?

  • Reading out scriptures is not the same as preaching the gospel, although it could be part of preaching. Anyone can read out scriptures, that wouldn't make them an Evangelist.

  • There can be many experiences of the Truth. That Jesus be the truth, does not exclude that Mohammed and the other prophets are also the Truth.

  • Not according to Jesus in John 14:6

  • Allah and God are the same, both Mohammed (PBUH), and Jesus (PBUH) are his prophets... and surely, if God is the creator, then we are all his sons and daughters, lest we reject him?

  • reject God* (sorry)

  • The Quran says "God has no son." The Bible says "God has spoken to us by His Son." Logically they cannot be the same God. One has a son, the other does not. Therefore either there are two or more gods, or one of these Gods is a false God. Do you agree?
