  • This is a common topic, because so many people are looking right now. I'm not sure about which industries are recession proof, but I know that when I find a company that is hiring during a recession and has been around for decades, I feel much better with the prospect. American Income Life is hiring and you can work from home. It looks like you don't even need prior insurance experience, either. Check out their Facebook page @ AIL.Insurance.

  • "PRISON GUARDS" = Recession-proof !

  • I know that finding a career that is recession-proof, has been a search that many have had. I have been searching for some time and came across AIL, who is hiring right now. I know that they have weathered the bad economy quite well, and are providing the opportunity to work from home and actually make a difference in people's lives. I wanted to pass this on. Check out American Income Life's Facebook page.

  • For people Interested in the (IT) Information Technology field

Recession Proof jobs in IT is Network Systems Administrators, Network Systems and Data Communication analyst, Computer Software Engineers, Systems Analyst and Database Administrators. These jobs are less likely and not to be out-shored or outsource to India, China and other foreigner countries. They are are also are in demand and is growing.

  • i found mine on verizz.info quite quick - just 2 weeks !

  • Learn to create your own business, think outside the box, create your cash flow and dont depend on corporationsd that will only get rid of you in the end

  • @robbrightofficial you are right but it s not easy to start a business when all business fields are over-occupied not to mention you need a good sum of money to start and don t think of banks they are not gonna help you, your point is good but the question is HOW and this HOW needs a practical answer not a general one, there is nothing outside the box because the corporations left nothing outside so you can get your ass back in the box, sorry

  • Prostitution is and always will be recession proof. Apparently according to an article I have read, plenty of women are now turning to that profession because of the tough economic climate.

  • bank robber..oh wait..dont u need 3yrs x-perience..this is canada after all.

  • Yup. I am 18 years old just graduated from High School and I am going to get a very high paying job. .. Come on!. Do you want me to fail my interview!!

  • Drug dealer & pimp.

  • Seriously? Health and education? Ooh, I'm sure college students and high school graduates will TOTALLY land such a wide field of jobs. God, two categories? Help us out, don't fuck with us.

  • @Blarghurface How bout you grow up and look for another video instead of bashing on these guys because you dont care about health?

  • What about bartending? People will always need to get drinks to temporarily cope with how badly they are being fucked over by the system.

  • What this video does not mention is that these "recession proof jobs" they are talking about will not be for you. The fact that x job cannot be outsource, does not mean that local people will have jobs because we all know how savvy capitalist companies are and they will just hire the most ignorant, less demanding and more obedient person, likely coming from a country where life and job conditions are bad.

Also automatization is something to consider that is killing a lot of jobs.

  • Why does everyone think that jobs = corporate. Corporate sucks.

  • I think people should focus on self-sustainable living, landowners should rally up against property taxes, Citizens should lobby state and federal lands previously absorbed from deceased individuals & estates to be recycled back into society to help families who don't own land. If everyone can have the means to produce their own food and live on their own land, then it would solve the jobless situation

  • Education isn't recession proof... when tax-base goes down, funding goes down for public schools. For private schools, there is attrition as their enrollments shift to tax-funded public schools. I was pursuing a Masters of Arts in Teaching, and put it on hold indefinitely, when I discovered school layoffs were exorbitant as their budgets were cut 20% this past year!

  • If you are looking to make a considerable second income visit my page.

  • plumbers, electricians, sanitation workers, healthcare (of course), truck drivers etc

  • education is not recession-proof, ppl are having LESS babies these days, meaning alot of schools are getting closed down from lack of kids. teachers r over-flooding the market because the B.Ed wants to cash in with the booming University/College business. I guess, alot of ppl are returning to school, not by choice, but because they r UNEMPLOYED!

  • @anaerobe alot more ppl are also becoming teachers because we have a more-educated population with minimum of a Bachelor's, and we all realize we could TEACH!

  • all the fucking politics in the world aint going to get us out of the recession.

politics can really only do so much, people have to own up to the job too.

  • how about, take whatever money you have, go out on a shopping spree, and find a job that you like and that your qualified for, or a job that is MOST like you, that you are qualified for.

that goes for all of us.

and instead of having a machine gun to guard your fridge, try actually sharing.

I volunteered with Angel Food ministries the other day.

thats how to get out of a recession, im telling ya.

its not very complicated, but it DOES take a population to get us out.

  • Are there any other fields of recession proof jobs?

  • Programming is recession proof. I am a programmer, and all my fellow programmers found a job within a single month.

  • Isn't nursing actually being outsourced, though? (Don't ask me how - this is what I've heard from nurses.) Accountants are hostages to the recruiting firms, and they protect each other's turf, so it's hard to quit one job and get another. Education is not a good prospect right now - that I know!

  • Live in China or the Middle East, seems like the only economies with money to spend out their.

  • What about a Plumber?

    We all use plumbing everyday!

  • healthcare and law/govenment..people r always gonna get sick..and people r always gonna break laws!...

  • franchise

  • how is the older people going to afford health care if they can't get jobs?

  • Well, if you live in a country that doesn't suck as hard as the US, you get health care for free.
