@doritos003 Took just as long as Blake Griffin took (1 missed season). Anyone who talks shit about Greg's bad luck is just happy that he hasn't been able to completely dominate their favorite team for 75% of his career.
if he could stay healthy for just a season or two with brandon roy, portland could make a scary run in the playoffs. camby coming off the bench, oden with aldridge. scary
If he wasn't injured he could've been pretty good.
But still... He isn't as good as yao, who came back from 2 years of being injured... got like 4 blocks 6 rebounds and 10 points in 8 minutes... But sadly was injured again.
Oden and Yao are 2 examples of big men being injury prone. So sad. Great players.
I love how people like to label Oden a bust after one season and an injury, it makes me laugh so bad. He already looks better than half of the starting C's in the league in his rookie year and still just 21.
Mike Rice freaking shit his pants when he dunked that, I remember the play. I was hyped too. Oden is fun to watch play, you can't keep your eyes off the screen.
TRUE, and Mike Rice is the Man. Everybody i watch games with doesnt like him. But he is like your old and crotchety grandpa that has no filter for what comes out of his mouth it is so rad.
i hear oden is at 275 and is doing alot of drills off 1 foot and his vert is getting up there. hes had a women now for a while and maybe she is working him out? oden will bring us a championship. teams hardly win without a legit 7 footer. since the ShaQ 3-peat, theres been 03' duncan, 04' wallace, 05' Duncan, 06' Shaq, 07' Duncan, 08' Garnett and 09' bynum/gasol. and like all these teams the big man had great teammates around to spread the load. god willing next year we get it. i say 11' Oden
If you knew the game, you'd know that the post is the HARDEST position to learn in the NBA. Getting a big man to develop the footwork and positioning on the block takes years. It took Olajuwon about two years in the pros to begin to really play naturally, and he was about as gifted a center as you'll ever see.
Oden has things you can't teach - size, good hands, agility. The rest he'll learn as he gets more experience.
Yeah, and Olajuwon didn't have microfrature and miss a year. That messes with anyone, being away from basketball for a year. That same touch you had before takes time to come back.
@radio187 He has good hands? hahaha. In your dreams. Agility? He was out of shape his first two years in the NBA and finally committed himself the third until he couldn't manage to not get re-injured. As he will do once again once he attempts another sad attempt in the NBA.
his first points. and also his last lol
