  • Remember, Iron Maiden picked Blaze over Doogie White, now known for being in the 90s version of Rainbow. And Doogie's got a damn good voice.

  • Totally by-the-numbers hair metal with zero charisma.

  • New wolfsbane album out, order it from their website! :D

  • blaze bayleys, very words the smallest penis of any lead singer

  • Oh and BTW the pretty singer girls they had on stage were very friendly, lol

  • I remember going to see wolfsbane at a club in Coventry in the 1980s with 20 or so people there, met the band and had a drink, never thought they would make it big until some years later I read in a mag that they made it big in America, I was gob smacked to say the least, great guys though

  • rocknroll from blaze

  • I think he was more natural in the Wolfsbane than his Iron Maiden times.....he also recorded greats song with Maiden... we can´t compare Blaze with Bruce and Paul Dianno....

  • Wolfsbane @ Edinburgh Venue 27/10/91. Absolutely fucking barnstorming. I couldn't feel my neck, or hear right, for a week.

  • I like wolfsbane, and I love maiden. He is a good singer, but his voice just didn't fit into the maiden sound

  • @andreasvonholst That's crap. He was made for The X Factor.

  • @sinbysin666 I meant to the typicly old maiden sound like pwerslave, number of the beast, piece of mind. I don't think he sang the bruce songs pretty good

  • @andreasvonholst I've never seen a singer who could (except Sebastian Bach). I'm just glad they didn't get some character lacking Power Metal singer.

  • Maiden were goin shit when blaze joined anyway no prayer n fear of the dark sucked producing just 1gd song n thats fear of the dark itself n the only 1 they still do live, blaze yrs had man on the edge, lrd of the flies, sign of the cross n clansman bt the 90s just sucked for maiden n metal anyway

  • @xierotron

Blaze-Maiden ruled, but the fans hated it. I'm fine with that, but i'm not fine with the band boycoting the songs. People do love the songs, even though they didn't like Blaze. I WANT TO HEAR VIRUS AND VIRTUAL XI IN THE SHOWS!

  • @gombie Maybe Blaze's songs wouldn't sound as good with Dickinson singing them. I like his Maiden carreer too, even if I am a huge Bruce-Maiden fan. Even Di'Anno is good. Iron Maiden didn't change a lot with the singers.

  • To all the people who have commented on how Blaze supposedly ruined Iron Maiden back in the 90's. First of all the X-Factor is one of the best albums that band ever brought out. Secondly it wasn't Blaze's fault that Virtual IX sucked. Steve Harris just wrote a shit album and then drenched it in keyboards. Blaze only co-wrote one song on that album.

  • @SammyKerr1 I completly agree with you men!!!! The people only compate the voice of Bruce and Blaze..not one

  • Damn great band glad there back on the scene, wish he hadnt left for maiden will pay off them bills

  • Blaze sounds like DLR. lol

  • @stevehauk haha i just wanted to say that, but than i saw your reaction :P

  • I LOVE BLAZE BUT THIS SONG MAKES ME WANNA SLEEP.

BUT HIS VOICE IS FINE. HIS RECENT WORK IS MUCH MUCH BETTER.

    BLAZE

    BLAZE

    JOIN US

  • AT THAT TIME HIS VOCALS WHERE VERY SIMILAR TO DAVE LEE ROTH

  • good stuff, blaze is god. I live in brazil, porto alegre, but a have the CD from wolfsbane, live fast, die fast, with producer rick rubin, i´m a big fan of blaze and wolfsbane. He has 2 great albuns in maiden too.

  • epic tune 'nuff said.

  • remember seen the howling mad shitheads back in 1990 at the Victoria hall in Stoke when they supported Iron Maiden on the No Prayer tour and they blew Maiden off the stage!

  • i was n't happy about wolfsbane givin up nor about blaze going to im, but hey we all make mistakes n when i met he seemed a nice guy!

  • Oh God, a Blaze like D.L.Roth, full of energies n sleeze it's amazing! :D

  • Awesome track!! What memories!!!! Blaze rules!!

  • David Lee Roth Style!

  • in this video he acts like bruce haha...

  • To all the haters of Blaze with Maiden: They thought he was good. Trust me, they wouldn't have gotten somebody they didn't think was very good. They obviously saw him in Wolfsbane, thought "Well that guy sounds awesome" and then hired him.

Plus, I like Blaze in Maiden.

  • @Metallicat8888 i didnt at first, but i listened to a few of his songs off the essential iron maiden cd, and i was impressed, sign of the cross is one of my faves!

  • love thsi song but couldnt stand blaze in maiden

  • I love this song............and i quite fancied blaze bayley im not ashamed to admit that i quite liked the old soap dodger

  • @TheDarkDamien No he didnt.. Bruce is in the band...

  • @TheDarkDamien Nope... Maiden were in a rut when grunge came, Burse pissed off. they needed the second best rock singer in the world; not even Bruce's voice stands up to their touring schedule. When you can hit the notes Blaze can then you can comment.

Oh... and as for destroyed... they're the most famous metal band operating in the world today. Not very destroyed.

  • @campbema10 the kind of shit poeple listen to nowadays sucks more

  • saw these at junction 10 in walsall late 80s and there still one of the best live acts ive ever seen!!

  • I want to join this band!!!!

  • Blaze is great in every band he was in!!

  • I always had a soft spot for blaze. Sigh

  • blaze, is a pretty singer.

only problem he joined the wrong band and wrong time.

    but he became famous

  • Blaze is sooooo sexy for me...

  • @nessamorgoth

you talk that in this video yeh??? cause today, is very ugly and fat, kkkkk...but i like her

  • @campbema10 fuck you, blaze is great in wolfspane, but sucked ass in maiden, and bruce dickinson is HELLA a better singer no matter what, so fuck off

  • I fuckin LOVE this song, been years since iv heard it. first time i saw it was on raw power soooo many moons ago :)

  • @chinesesloppyplop I remember watching Raw Power with Phil and Nikki then with Krusher as the Noisy Mothers, use to be on in the early morning just after coming home from Rock Raiders In New Malden...oh those where the days ;)

  • He really does...

  • Fucking love this track, reminds me of my misspent youth!!!

Is it just me or does the opening lines of the first verse sound like Dave Lee Roth singing?

  • actually he was great with iron maiden don't know what your talking about

people do bash but those would be the people who only like mainstream maiden

    either way blaze owns

  • he has this charismatic voice, sexy :D hehe

though i realy dont like that people bash him about the iron maiden era, he did what he did, no one can do it as dickinson did and does.

but i think he gave his best with the band

He's days with Wolfsbane were great and his solo records have been awsomQ!!!! :D:D

  • wolfsbane r playing this years rock and blues festival in derbyshire

  • Does anyone remember a band called Masada that toured with these guys in the early 90's? I'd love to see some footage of them if it is possible!!??

  • I think Blaze is more suited for a VH style band than a Maiden style band, that's where Blaze really shines

  • Holy crap, I was just thinking that before I scrolled down! I was even thinking his voice was reminicent of DLR's lower-mid range.

  • I agree with this. Blaze was totally wrong for maiden. They darkened him. He is a very vibrant wild man singer.

  • I didn't like how Maiden had darkened Blaze, the only Maiden song I liked with Blaze was "Man on the Edge", I thought that song suited Blaze the most

  • Sign of the cross is also good with him on vocals too

  • @cronosbray Mm-hmm. Suuuuuure.

  • @NightmareSnake Haha Go Britney Fox!

  • @cronosbray \m/

  • mainden didnt ruin him! he was just a bad choice. not because he is bad but he could not sing bruce's songs for a whole tour. they were way to high for him and he ruined his voice during a long tour, so he sounded really bad at the end. thats why they brought back bruce-everyone hated blaze cos he ruined the songs live, too often.

  • ace. :D

  • Great song - I saw them support Maiden in 1990, then saw Maiden with Blaze in 96 - I hope he's doing OK...

  • Blaze is doing great nowadays, his solo work is highly reccomended

  • yeah!...the man who would not die... really rocks!

  • @jollywood999 couldnt agree more

  • Blaze Baley I live in his home town Tamworth. and use to live not far from him ither.

    Wolfsbane CLASSIC band

  • Awsome song!

  • Ahhh,my bro got me this 4 xmas when it came out.AWESOMW!!!he thought they were a thrash band from the cover!haha.

Suffice to say,DAMAGED would not have existed without this record.lol!

Lost my virginity with a carny in Bermagui to this album.

  • I still have this on cassette tape awsome band!!

  • FUKK!

I watched this on classic years ago!

Maybe the best fucking chorus of all time!!!!!!

  • his voice suits wolfsbane more than maiden, if maiden had used him properly he would have been alot more popular but still he sings absolutely amazing on sign of the cross and virus,

  • Another thing about Wolfsbane is they remind me of a combination of Van Halen and the classic NWOBHM bands from the early 1980s and I take that as a good thing.

  • great song, VH should have hired him as the singer instead of extremes singer

  • Was this recorded on VH1 Classic's Metal Mania? This is a great song by a great band, I personally thought Blaze was alot better in Wolfsbane than he was with Iron Maiden.

  • This kicks ass! Blaze Bailey RULES!

  • It's Bayley not Bailey!

  • wow i bought this album on vinyl when it first came out unfortunatley it nvr gained much interest out here is australia.

as for the earlier comment on him sounding like dlr lol yup i always thought the same.

anyway this album was great and im glad i saw this clip its the 1st time ive seen any footage of them.personally i think this band fell far short of what i though they would acheive

  • Shame they never reached the giddy heights that the hype promised.

  • my mom thought this was van halen, and i can see it, blaze's voice does sorta sound like a british version of DLR and this song definetely sounds like something they would play. however, eddie would cut that solo a million times better.

  • Well, if you don't like it, fuck off and watch a whitesnake video.

  • Well I aint never heard of you you twat

  • fucking idiot... dont be such a dick

  • stop being a dickhead an instead do something that really worths...like go FUCK UR SELF AND DIE!!!

  • Oh dear Jan (what's that short for? Janet? Janice?) or whatever your name is, I've just realised you think "Weird" Al Whatshisface is funny! You'll be saying Run To The Hills is a seminal tome to the 80's monolithic sub culture that was known as NWOHMB's.

  • u dumb fuck u like being a dickhead dont u?

  • Janet, dear Janet, from the quality of your replies, I'd have to ask if you've read any good books lately?

  • i've read one that says "Don't talk to dickheads" and thats what im gonna do good day to you ^^

  • Wolfsbane just rocks so hard

  • I dont care what anyone says, I saw these live in their prime and they were without doubt one of the best British Rock bands of the day. Blaze Bailey sang amazingly well despite seeming to not have slept for quite some time!

  • Jase the Ase!

  • its a shame the bane didn't make it far...they were on the brink so long

  • The only thing I didn't like about Wolfsbane was the glam-like lyrics and in some of the simplicity of the music...

  • newcastle 18 dec good 2 c them back, blaze is god, h.m.s 4 life

  • With the wildearts? Quality gig

  • wich motherfuckerd dare to say blaze can't sing. come on then I'll kill you ;)

  • hahahahahahhahahahahaha hahahha classic. you just made my day with that reply!!!!

  • up the blazes

  • great song!! 5*

  • shit like ur face

  • baley ruuuuuuuuuuuuuulez. blaze is the man

  • Drum machine. Shit production. Cheap Van Halen rip-off.

  • Yesss...cos Van Halen was gdd....

  • Fuck all you clowns, Wolfsbane are the best band on earth you stupid metalheads!

  • HELL YEAH WOLFSBANE ROCK!!

  • if van halen is looking for a replacement.. why not try blaze`?

  • well yeah i heard van halens needed a new arse licker, why dont u apply?

  • I like Blaze in Iron Maiden and in BLAZE (or just Blaze Bayley), but Wolfsbane sounds too much like the 80's Hollywood Metal in my ears...

  • lol i though he blew ass hes has a good voice

  • i like wolfsbane....a little van halenish but still extremely catchy....if they came out of the halen style stuff and got more original i think they could have had more potential.

  • they suck...Blaze has a cool voice though, but no thanks...

  • this song stil sounds gr8 aft all these yrs - i love it!!!!

  • this sounds like Van Halen.

  • i too was a Howling mad shithead .....saw them live 4 times i think, twice at least at smoky, sleazy, walsall junction 10...... they never got their dues. great to hear this again...makes me feel 18 again, but still sounds great

  • These guys are my favourite band! They ROCK! Fuck you to any dickhead on here who says they're shit!

  • great song, he kind of reminds me of Andrew WK in a way

  • This suits Blaze's voice perfectly. Awesome.

  • Did someone say 'David Lee Roth'?

  • Darn, you're right! 100% Roth!

  • fuck that blaze looks like bruce in the seventh son times :D

  • why didnt he sing like this in maiden not the x-factor that was good as they made it

  • wolfsbane is one of the best bands in the world

  • Remember those gigs down the Tamworth Arts Centre, HOWLING MAD SHITHEADS ROCK!!! you fat bastard Blaze! lol

  • excellent to see this video, I was howling mad shithead number 393.

  • this is fucking gay,the vocals suck ass.

  • this is konda stupid! he he best now with his own band

  • blaze was excellent in maiden's x factor album

  • saw them live twice. they rawked!!

  • blaze is much better here than in Iron Maiden

  • I totally do agree, I like the fact that Wolfsbane's music was similar to Van Halen yet they knew how to rock just like Van Halen did.

  • wolfsbane owns

  • metal.

  • Wolfsbane is the place for Blaze (very good band), and not Maiden, his voice fits much better in Wolfsbane's style of music.

  • amen.

  • I remember not liking Blaze's voice as the singer for Maiden but when I've first discovered Wolfsbane on VH1 Classic's "Metal Mania" I immediately thought that Blaze was actually a good singer and since then Blaze has started growing onto me, I prefer Blaze in Wolfsbane over Maiden though cause I thought his voice suited more towards Wolfsbane.

  • effin mint!!!

saw these on halloween in Boro many (full)moons ago!

Danger was sat on toilet behind the kit!!

    as i said....effin mint!!
