GROVES (FFG 29) decommissioned and immediately transferred over to a country in a 1-2-3 manner when she is decommissioned. Thank you for this insight. I know that in the tradition of the US NAVY, DECOM is a somber and brief ceremony... but combining the handover with this... is not acceptible to my family.

Served on the USS John L Hall (FFG-32 from '05 to '10 and boarded the "MAC" many times.

I served on her from 6-84 to 6-87. I'm sorry to see her leave the U.S.,
but,now we have someone can can chase them pirates over there off Somalia.
