The robot is controlled via a serial cable with a USB adapter plugged into a laptop. The laptop functions as the "brains" of the system and performs all computation and derives servo commands which are then sent to a servo controller on the robot itself.

i know what autonomous is i wanted to know if the (RC) with wires are still called rc because its radio controlled and when there is a wire...its not radio.

@heartedtears RC is remote controlled, as in controlled from somewhere else. It doesn't have to be wireless for that.
