Last I checked, if you run a guy from the other team into the boards from behind, you should expect a fight, not be skating away like nothing happened. And if you watch the first view of the play you can see Bieksa skate through the screen when Santala is on the ice. He skates up a and hooks Penner (not jump on his back) Penner then turns around, and then the gloves are droppped, couple seconds later, Penner is getting pwned. And if you think Bieksa is a pussy just watch all of his other fights.

I was at this game and sitting down in the corner. It was a cheap shot and Bieksa did the right thing to step up for his teammate. I was surprised Penner didn't stand up for himself better (he is a much bigger guy and is supposed to be tough) but Bieksa does have a pretty good rep as a scrapper.
