Hi... I think most of it I learned by trial and error and watching demoreels and effect breakdowns of VFX companies. You can find a lot of these at PostFolio org. I am doing 3D for about 12 years now. Its a lot of time to figure out how do stuff and find good workflow solutions. So there unfortunately is no site with tutorials that I have learned all the things from. Its more that I learned bits and pieces all over the web.

Wow, amazing work for 72 hours. Do you think you could go a little more in depth on the Ice burg rig?

Thank you so much. Well the rig is really simple... Nothing really fancy. I just needed to generate a lot of different Icebergs really quickly! Its a basic mograph diesplacement deformer on a plane with 20x20 square polys with some noise shaders to control the look. I added controls for the different paramenters via HUD do get quicker access. Maybe I do a more in depth description later. Hope that helped a little!

But how did you make the iceberg's textures and the ground textures?

The fine detail of the Icepergs and the surface was done using displacement.

Most of the textures and displacement was done using procedural noises.

I'm not really THAT much into the program, that i know what procedural noises, and displacement is :), so i guess you don't need to explain it further, dont wanna waste your time ^^.
