A Scary Night

OMG- you were near me. My father-n-law is in the hospital in Pensacola! I could have drove over to see ya! We were in a hotel for the 15th and 16th and then put our two big dogs in a kennel since we were at the hospital all night.

OMG, I was there on the 18th! That would have been so fun to meet up while there.. Oh well.. How is your father in law doing?

I love Charleston! We were over there in May and it was so pretty then!

(Dontcha hate it when people tell you that you can call anytime, then they don't stay home just in case you do?)

After telling my husband about all that happened, he said I am NOT staying there ever again! :D The next one probably won't be much better.. Hotels that allow 3 dogs aren't very common! :(( xoxo

I hate when people fight like that it scares me to. Ya, its great to have someone to talk to when traveling it does make time go faster. This video ended scary little missy. After watching this video we're sitting on pins and needles waiting to see if your okay. I should have read the info first. lol Hugs.

Did I kind of leave you hanging at the end? LOL I was pretty nervous there for awhile! The dogs give me a little confidence though and I wouldn't ever go on the road "alone" without them!! LOL

Hi Rhoda! Yep, the dogs are good at letting me know that something is up! They scared off whoever it was.. I think it was a little boy from across the hall just at the wrong door and the dogs probably scared him! My parents live in St. Petersburg.. Where in SC are you? My son lives in Jamestown in a 100 year old house and loves it there!! :D

Your a brave woman Judy to travel all that way alone..especially these days..Be careful! You should have mace with you at all times when traveling along if nothinmg else,myself I would have a pistol on my hip..LOL...My Dad is 80 and its a good thing your going to see your Dad on fathers day:)Im sure he will be happy!Take care~

The dogs will scare them off most bad guys because they don't like attention drawn to them. So it is good that they bark. My don't is a real big dog and she is a watch dog! I sold our trailer and three big guys came over to haul it away. I had realized that I forgot my dog in the back yard and ran to go let her in while they were out there. I found her pressed up against the back door just WATCHING the men taking the trailer. She is a Real Watch Dog! LOL

It was scary but the dogs were good and alerted me.. I think it was just a little boy at the wrong door.. My dogs aren't big but they are fierce protectors! LOL

I hate to travel alone. I always take my dogs too. I am a scaredy cat also. I got like this as I got older...Don't know why.

LOL, I tried finding another hotel one time when the one I planned on staying at had damages from the hurricane and had closed.. I didn't make reservations since I figured I wouldn't need them... bad mistake!! I had to drive for almost 3 more hours looking for one that would take my dogs.. I almost resorted to lying just to get some rest!!

The dogs are my security!! LOL I WAS tired! I had only had 3 hours sleep the night before!

I found 4 hotels in the area -- one down in Navarre, across from the beach, friendly and safe. They took our large dogs , preferred small ones though. I'm glad it all worked out for ya.

I love how you just load up and go! I am surprised you found a hotel that would take your dogs. ( the Hilton was the ONLY hotel that would take lacy when I moved out here) I love it that your parents are still around and you get to see them.

Hey Michael! There are lots of hotels that will take pets - just not the best ones! More like motel 8 types.. I actually like to take road trips - just me and the dogs.. It makes me feel so independent for some reason! haha Yes, I know how lucky I am to still have my parents!!! xoxo

I took my kids to Gulf Breeze, which is right in Pensacola if I remember correctly. We would drive over the bridge to the beach. It was really nice. :)
