I think Dave was their best drummer as well. If I'm not mistaken, he was fired by Eddie because he thought Dave was getting too big for the band (ie. Eddie's ego was hurt because people were noticing someone other than him).

Yeah - Dave was great. I've loved Eddie since his Bad Radio days.  I was a teen when I discovered him/them. I'm in my 30s now and I hope they're around to rock me into my nursing home. Best band there is!
