  • my name is.. what ? my name is.. what ? my name is zickazick *clang*

  • I just love the end of this scetch.

  • Fry looks so handsome on this video

  • He says frigging, not freaking. The word freaking isn't really used here in Britain, but frigging is sort of its equivalent.

  • Just spat coffee at my keyboard at 1.55

  • Love Hugh as Bertie Wooster, Love him as the Prince Regent, Love him as Private George... love a Bit of Fry and Laurie. Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie make an incredible duo.

  • Hugh Laurie the human punching bag :D XD

  • house!

    lol this is awesome

  • @bradypats1 thts not house

  • @bubblegumandcherries dude yeah it is. its called fry and laurie and its hugh laurie aka house. bossed.

  • @bradypats1 am saying teh programme isnt houst faggot

  • Hahaha was that a real cricket bat? That must'a really hurt!

  • It was definatley made of foam :) You can see it bend. There is a video on here somewhere of Fry accidentally puching Hugh if that's the sort of thing you're into =P

  • Looks like rubber to me, I'd think foam would have snapped. Either way looks like it did hurt.

  • no, it's hugh laurie, he did things before house you know

  • Our stevie

  • I've started a petition to get these two back together on House MD! please google 'Reunite Fry & Laurie on House petition spot', sign the petition (at petition spot obviously) and spread the word please! Thanks!

  • Gladly!

  • NEVERMIND THE FREAKING SKETCH IT'S TOO HARD!

Yay for, Tap Dancing Slap Face!

  • methinks the professor needs to get his [lack of] brain examined

  • yeah, you were.

  • Brilliant you don't see comedy like this anymore

  • A work of art. 5 stars.

  • The Manuel/ Basil pairing pales into insignificance

  • never mind the frigging sketch! it was too hard! XP

  • Brilliant! Kinda like Monty Python, but somehow even better :) (at least this one!).

  • These guys were great together- two of Britains great comics.

Hard to believe Dr. House started this way.

  • they both started out on blackadder with rowan atkinson

  • I didn't realize Fry was on Blackadder. I loved the effeminate prince that Laurie played, I would howl laughing at him.

I will have to rent Blackadder again, maybe I need to just buy it. I have four seasons of A bit of Fry and Laurie.

Anyway, thanx for for the info, tenirpaslager!

  • Fry plays the eccentric General Melchett in Blackadder Goes Forth which is based on World War I, in my opinion Blackadder Goes Forth is the best of all the Blackadder's.

  • I will check that out, thanks very much.

  • This is my opinion too! :)

  • haha they're so good. the only thing that could possibly add to this hysterical skit is a guest appearance by john cleese... XP

  • SODA!!!!!. Its my favorite skit from Fry and Laurie!!!!!

  • Stephen Fry is a freaking genius!

(This comment is because there are se many Laurie-comments and only so little Fry-comments)

  • Dunno why but I get the feeling he really did hit him hard just as he did with another sketch called "F1 Driver" when he"accidentally" punches Hugh laurie in the face...and for real.

  • "Nevermind the freaking sketch! That was too hard! It really hurt."

"Aw. He's just a child really."

I think this is definitely my favorite Fry and Laurie sketch.

  • it's just it sounds XDDD

  • and Stephen with the win.

I love these two so much.

  • Lol, nipple ^_^

  • no its nippl-e

  • "Never mind the freaking sketch, that was too hard!" Ha. I love it when they pretend to get out of character.

  • Brilliant!

Fry: Alright Mr. Nipple if i can have your address please?

    Laurie: You talking to me?!

    Fry: Yes..

Laurie: You want to know my address?

    Fry: Yes,please...

Laurie: ..or do you want Mr.Nipples address?!

  • I always wonder if he really "meant" that he said he was hit too hard or if it was just part of the comedy. They were so ridiculous sometimes that it could have been part of the joke somehow. I still wonder if he might have actually hit him too hard though. Any thoughts....?

  • Hehe.. I wondered the same thing! The first time I watched it, I thought it was true, laughed at the poor thing, but didn't think much of it. But since then I've seen it a few more times and now I start to wonder... You're right, they were so random in their comedy sometimes... but still awesome non the less!

  • they used this kind of technique A LOT. the hedge sketch is a good example. they were not actually getting the lines wrong. in a "special squad" sketch, stephen "accidentally" walked out of the set.

  • I think it's part of the joke

  • I started laughing from 0:17 and I didn't stop till the end. The worst part was I knew where they were going with this and it was still hilarious.

  • so so funny

  • Nevemind the friggin sketch that was too hard it really hurt

  • lolz! "N, I, P, P, L, -, E." They crack me up!

  • They need to do a comeback show like nao. I miss comedy like this!

  • I love the end. Aww.

  • God, there is just something so hilarious about watching Hugh Laurie getting punched!

He was hit in the face so many times by Stephen Fry on this show and it never stopped being funny. And he takes it so well!

    Except at the end there....

  • lolz! "N, I, P, P, L, -, E." They crack me up!

  • he's just a child really...

I remember seeing an interview with Hugh Laurie talking about his bad memory. Well, it's no wonder, seeing him get knocked around so much in his early work! (yes, I am aware of the art of a "stage punch") Bless his heart.

  • Es buenisimo! desde luego, de los mejores scketches.

  • they're both still so young here! loved it thanks for sharing!

  • "never mind the frigging sketch that wat too hard" rofl!

  • Is it just me, or did Fry actually hit him too hard.

  • You are correct. Mister nippl-e clearly said you needed to give a gentle pat, rather than a blunt cricket bat battering.

  • lmfao, "it's as it sounds"

  • "Never mind the freakin sketch, that was too hard. That really hurt."

    xDDDDDDD

  • you can also tell that the bat is made of rubber, genius sketch!

  • Lmao, that made my day. Those two guys are geniuses.

  • Ah, I miss these guys. Thanks for sharing.

  • As this is really funny,I will not be bored watching it.Superb sketch!

  • I like this sketch,it is really funny!

  • Yes it a great scene set in a police station.Stephen really looks good as a copper and this is funnier than Eastenders too.

  • You talking to me?

    Yes.

You want to know my address??

    Yes please!

Or do you want to know.. Mr Nipple's address???

    XD

  • Laurie looks a bit like Mark Heap in this sketch.

  • I love them^^... one question: Did Hugh really get hurt or was that some part of the sketch?

  • No, he didn't really get hurt. It was all in the script: Hugh saying: 'Never mind the freaking sketch, that really hurt!' and Stephen's reaction to that...

I also think that if Hugh really got hurt, Stephen would be a bit more concerned :)

  • Ah, thanks!^^ You are right. Stephen would have asked, if Hugh was alright or something else.

  • laurie, is the best actor ever!!! love him :D

  • LMAO!!!! Love this sketch!!!

  • "Never mind the freakin sketch, that was too hard!!! That really hurt." ))) I actually cant stop laughing...)))

I love those two actors.I can watch this over and over and not get tired of it. Classic!

Вчера случилась большая радость, купила Фрая и Лори и Дживса и Вустера...на нашем и оригинальном языке...села вечерком качество дисков проверить, оторвалась в пять утра) Молодцы ребята!

  • LOL!LOL!

  • that looks like the guy from greys anatomy...

  • Grey's Anatomy? Are you thinking of House MD? :D

  • yes!

    thank you for correcting me!

i got em mixed up haha

  • You're welcome! And in case you were still wondering, that is the guy from House, yeah. :D

  • Ha, that's a good one! no one actually believed you got them mixed up..

    keep watching fry and laurie!

shame they screwed House MD 5th season so much!!!

  • Its so funny when stephen just drops the thing on the side and says "Bit unusual itsn't it?" xD

  • poor hugh! well i guess he deserved it ;)

  • "He´s just a child, really"

  • nevermind the friggin sketch! that was too hard!

    lol

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAA

  • Looovvveee this.

  • XDDD Hugh and Stephen are GODS.

    N I P P L - E.

  • i think this one is my all time fav!

  • This is probably what they call brilliant, isn´t it?

  • BRILLIANT !!!!

  • I love British humor. Thanks for posting this.

  • N I P P L - E

    lol

  • for those that want to know

    mr fry is 6ft 5

    mr laurie is 6ft 2

  • ROFL F*CKING HIRLARIOUS

  • i love how stephen asks how its spelled and hugh says"it's as it sounds"

  • IT'S HUGH LAURIE !!!!! :P

  • no the cops the other guy its dr.house!

  • it was all scripted...stephen cares toom uch, if it was real he would have been more concerned and they would ahve rehearsed the ways to do the hit.

  • duhhhhhhh

  • aww poor hugh"nevermind the freakning sketch that was to hard!"

  • HAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!!! Oh my god, I can't beleive it - Hugh Laurie has ALWAYS been as funny as his character on House MD? He's such an awesome actor!

  • "NEVER MIND THE FREAKIN SKIT, THAT WAS TOO HARD!That really hurt." poor hugh :( The lengths people go to to make people laugh...

    It was great though!

  • "Never mind the skit. That was too hard."

  • sketch

  • aww! Poor Hugh. I love him.

  • lol poor diddums indeed

  • I wish I was Mrs. Nippl-e.

  • Me too!

  • Is there something in the water in Britain and Ireland that allows for some many tall people in acting and comedy? I mean look at Monty Python: John Cleese, Graham Chapman, and Eric Idle, all pretty tall fellows. Hugh and Stephen seem both over 6 feet at least. Michael Caine, Sean Connery, Richard Harris, Peter O'Toole. I wonder if it's the cold/rainy weather that stretches the legs, from people walking so fast to find shelter and warmth.

  • But then there's Ronnie Corbett...

  • Who's Ronnie Corbett?

  • He's a very short comedian! He was part of a comedy act called The Two Ronnies with Ronnie Barker.

Search under Stephen Fry Two Ronnies for a funny sketch he did with them. Stephen is over a foot taller then Ronnie Corbett!

  • Erm... that was kind of the point I was making. Hence the words, "Stephen is over a foot taller than Ronnie Corbett."

  • Ok puzzywoo, now tell us how tall Cleese is, and he IS tall.

  • Cleese: "I'm 5 foot five and I can do whatever the hell I like!" search youtube for "archeology today" monty python sketch :)

  • Closest thing to the Cook-Moore comedy partnership in the 1990s.

  • Pythons would probably be proud :)

  • Aww! That ending! Hugh! *Hug* It was so funny, the first time Stephen punched him, there was like 5 inches of space. xD Ha ha ha. "Do you want to my address or 'Mr. Nippl-e's'?" Halarious.

  • It's as it sounds!

    LMFAO

  • XD I love that where he says "It's as it sounds"....and did he actually hit him too hard or just part of the sketch?

  • I was wondering that too. I'm pretty sure it was just part of the sketch coz I'm sure the bat bends when it hits him. And I think Stephen would be more caring if it was real. =)

  • i'm postive it's part of the sketch. there is a website with the scripts from some episodes and the whole "that was too hard" was written in originally.

  • Whats The address for that website with the scripts by the way? Its would be funny to see that.

  • triple w dot geocities dot com forward slash mmemym forward slash, can't post links on youtube. not all the scripts are there, but quite a few are...

  • it's rilly funny!!!!

  • This is funny enough as it is but on top of that...my husband is a paramedic and was treating a little kid. When he asked the mother how to spell the kids name for the hospital paperwork she actually answered "I don't know its on the chart somewhere just get it from there!" "The comedian formerly known as Hugh" is running through my head also!

  • It's spelt as it sounds

  • "Ah diddums!"

  • hugh laurie rocks!

    this is my favorite sketch!

hope to see a lot more of house shows and to see him in another series/movies!

  • "Never mind the friggin sketch!" lmao!

  • love hugh...great

  • This is so f**ing great!!!

    I love those two actors.

  • Poor little Hughie..

  • oh god...tht`s great!..hugh is adorable.....''that really hurts'':)

  • Mister Nippl-hyphen-e pronounced 'didlnump' or whatever the sound of a rubber landing on a desk or whatever it was. Does anyone know what it is????

  • What they use from his name?

    I believe it's a lighter.

    Might be mistaken though.

  • I love the cricket bat at the end. I reckon it 'was a bit to hard' and they left it in the sketch!

  • They really are comedic geniuses!! I love watching these sketches!

  • 'aww, diddums...' haha, what a classic pair

  • Just superb !!
