  • RIP Country Dick and Buddy Blue. These guys were something else to see live, with the original members. I remember a great few conversations with Country Dick Montana at shows, I love this band!

  • They would be huge now!

  • Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition! One of my favorites by this great band -- R.I.P. Buddy & Country Dick.

  • The best thing on YouTube is the surprising amount of old BF videos that have showed up. Thank bjesus someone was filming while I was gettin drunk.

  • @rmcgowan33 HAHAHA, Its funny cause I don't remember ever seeing anybody at the bars filming these guys either, I guess was as wasted as you were. Good Times I'll never forget

  • @fajadody good times you'll never forget...except that part where you were wasted

and didnt see the camera crews all around the bar.

  • @rmcgowan33 Maybe filming was Tom Stinkfinger or the Mushoom Maniac himself, Mojo??

  • What can you say about Buddy Blue that has not already been said about AWESOMENESS!!!!I

I am missing me some Beat Farmers every minute of every day

  • I saw them live years ago in their one and only appearance at the Del Mar Fair. After their take no prisoners, burn down the walls performance and antics, they were banned from ever playing their again. Also, members of the Beat Farmers acted as the Toad Liquors, the backup band for Mojo NIxon (saw him and Skid Roper perform live at Off The Record in Encinitas around the mid '80s

  • The Beat Farmers are cool, unique and one of a kind. I feel lucky to know of this band. I will NOT get rid of my cassettes until I have all of TBF in mp3 format - they are too precious to lose.

    Long Live Country Dick!

  • hey ppl my band got name by this song hahaha yes this is one of the greatest hits whole wide world...

Just type GUN SALE NOTHING TO SAY... enjoy

  • THIS, my friends, is Rock n Roll....

  • I'm a Sacramento girl, and the Beat Farmers hit me. They are/continue to be off the charts amazing

  • I remember when these guys were a garage band in La Mesa, Ca. I found out yesterday that buddy blue joined country dick montana in the dead zone, R.I.P.

  • I haven't had a Beat Farmers CD in years and years. Email me if you have one, I can't find them anywhere.

  • too much!!!

  • Das beste geilste Stück was ich seit langem gehört habe, absot starker Gitarrensound, einfach erfrischend, GUTELAUNEMUSIC vom Feinsten, steckt an.

  • I still love to drive and turn it up on this one.

  • GOD i LOVE the BF!

    Great SD band!

    Tony

  • God, I love the Beat Farmers!!!

  • . . . miss the b f ! ! !

  • I never get tired of this song. One of my fav's.

  • A great band, lesson of it sall appreciate the memories and use them in the now, to avoid the "Giant Suck"/Vaccuum of Complacency, wich is what our collective society is becoming, Enjoy your Miley Cyrus !!!

  • To be honest I really don't mind Miley Cyrus. Not that I am particularly a fan of her or her music but she seems ok and she has some genuine comedic talent. Plus she has a hell of a lot more on the ball than the typical Britney Spears types.

And I must admit I do find myself lingering a tad bit on the Hannah Montana show when channel surfing if there is nothing else to watch. Some of it is actually kinda funny.

  • "And we'll ask the lord to forgive us for all our sins, then look at the lastest in gold plated firing pins'!

  • I'll always relish the times Buddy and I hung together in high school. Always thought I was going to see him one last time and cheer 'em on.

  • "My two main men are Jesus and ol' John Birch..."

Sounds like my high school classmates that I've reunited with on Facebook. Sheesh.

  • I saw them 12 times in the 80's and early 90's R.I.P. Dick and Buddy...you changed my life for the better...I will never forget!!!!

  • Happy Birthday Buddy - ya bastid!

  • Buddy died of a heart attack. Shit shit shit. I loved his stuff.

  • Someone pleeeze direct me to where I can get more stuff on this specific lineup of the BF's? What happened to Buddy? Which albums should I look for that incluse Buddy. Im sold on these guys bigtime only to now learn I'll never get to see them :-(...

  • Do a wiki search on them....tons of info available.

Buddy died of a heart attack a few years ago (2006??). Country Dick is gone too...

I never saw them with Buddy, but got to see them twice in the late 80s with Joey Harris. Amazing live act. Can't believe the crap that makes millions now...compared to these guys. Yeah...life isn't fair. And the world is a stupid place most of the time.

  • You got that RIGHT!!!

  • Anything you can get your hands are is GREAT!!!

  • the Beat farmers in their prime

  • ive got fins and i dont mind

  • Saw these guys in the WVU Mountainlair circa 1985 when I was an undergrad. I actually worked for the University as an Audio Visual Tech and had the chance to hang with the boys. My bud from Weidner University made it out too!! What a show. The Beat Farmers opened for the Smithereens. What a show!!!

  • Nice! Love those Smithereens also! Think I will blast some of them next! Keep rockin' nrems! All the best! The 'Nut

  • I do not care how old I get or how much music I am exposed to, this is a classic and have a smile on my face everytime I hear it! I love the looks on people's faces when I am in my car, cranking this and singing along. For some reason, they give me a wide berth at stop lights! RIP Mr. Montana, you, sir, are missed!

  • Hey Buddy...I'm right there with you...God bless ya.

  • Awsome song and band !!

  • i want this song and every song that the beat farmer's ever done. tell me .

  • Get the Buddy Blue material too

  • Nice name! I saw Mojo at the State Theater in Detroit a hundred years ago opening up for Dred Zepplin! What a freakin' show!!!!!! I bought a concert shirt that looked like a workers shirt with the name "Mojo" on a patch on one side and the other side was as patch that said "Mushroom Farm" . I think the X threw it away when I left her for a 23 year old. My midlife crisis, some guys buy a 'vette, I just found younger women! Sometimes you lose and sometimes you win...BIG! Peace!

  • I love this song

  • well posted, respect for this here tune, god bless ye'all

  • STANDS THE TEST OF TIME. San Diego California, baby!

  • This is smokin'. Thanks!

  • Oscar, you rock for making this vid possible.

  • OMFG!! Ten times better live than in studio. Wow!!

  • That's me. Guns and Religion. And I'm clinging too them

  • best band ever! I grew up in san diego and must have seen them hundreds of times. We would sneak into the bars when we were only 16.. I loved them sooooo much!

  • What an outstanding band. Good times were had at their shows.

  • Buddy sure looks good in this vid. Miss you Buddy and Country!!!!!!!! Thanks for all the mammaries

  • Take that, million mom's!

    We're not all meweling pussies.

  • LOL! Buddy tries to write an ironic song about "gun nuts". But it gets mostly taken as straight on both sides of the argument (maybe because it rings true -- now more than ever?).

    I love it!

  • Awesome tune - great band!

Keep on pushin' - straight ahead!

  • Wow! Just a little slice of heaven. I miss you guys.

  • When I die, just point me to the bar they're playing in

  • Jesus, I listen to these guy's and think how f'ed up music has become. The last of the real rockers.

    RIP Buddy & Dick

  • How dare you die. Fucking pissed me off and when I watched this..Well, it made me cry.

Jeebus Buddy... there are no words.

  • Gawd bless th' Farmers! Alla ya -- Buddy, Country Dick, Rollie, Joey, 'n Jerry. Ever' last one a youse bastiches.

  • Still a great song and we miss you big dumb jerk!

  • Great Song from a Great Band. It's to bad that the mindless masses never got to hear the boys. I hear the crap on the radio and I keep coming back to the Beat Farmers....Perhaps the best kept secret in music....

  • What a great song! I never tire of it...brilliant. Springsteen, Alvin Bros, Dylan...etc. couldn't have come up with such a great idea for a song...The Farmers aced it always. Buddy Blue meant business...

  • "We'll ask the lord to forgive us for all our sins,

Then we'll look at the latest in gold-plated firin' pins."

That is just fuckin' brilliant. This whole song should be a renowned classic, not just a gem for us Farmer/BB fans.

  • Save me a seat at whatever dive in whatever universe you ended up in

  • Simply one of the best bands from the U.S.A. in the last 30 years.

  • Amen to that.

  • 30 years? Try EVER!!!111

  • My mistake! You are correct Sir!

  • buddy, still miss ya!!

  • GO BUDDY GO!

God rest yer soul ya bastid!
