the most effective way is to use shang, continue building villagers until u have 500 food over (after having built 2 docks, 1 barracks, granary and storage pit, and of course some fishing boats), evolve to tool age (u should have around 20 pop at this time), adding 2 barracks, start proddicing clubmen, and harrass yous enemies, who should also be evolving to tool age at that time, too. at tool age, you evolve your clubmen to axemen, and get the +2 armor upgrade in the storage pit, which will...

Yea..people who know how to defend against rushers, and make a large army late in the game are called "Turtlers" I'm one of them. My economy is slightly slow though, 5 on each resource, but i suck down Stone really fast.

A little secret with reveal map, and the reason the "pros" did not play with reveal map on.

2 gold mines, 2 stone mines, and 2 berry bushes marks the spot of where your "enemy" is. Pros did not use this simply because it made the game alot more easier than it already was at their "said" skill level.

I'm guessing the time is 11 minutes in. By 11 minutes I would have already killed you. With that army of axemen and bowmen youd stand little chance of my chariot archers, and chariots. You rushed too late for one. With crapmen and ranged crapmen. The best way to "Tool" rush would be playing hittites and 10 - 15 bowmen. Hittites archers have +1 attack bonus. Therefore making there bowmen as strong (damage wise) than any chariot archers. In tool age rush about 5 mins in they can be devastating!
