  • so beautiful is it when we find a source of inspiration, i too at one point had tired of playing piano. Worry not of the implications that being a child has when you type a remark, for i am but a mere 14 yr old with a vivid vocabulary, and a endless thirst for knowledge.

  • fantatsic, sounds relaly familliar to something.

  • u r definitely a family man! =)

  • Hi ryan,

I like very much your composition! Congratulations.

If i could do only one comment, i'll try to use some richer chords to add some "tension" or "emotion". You know, like "add4", "add2", "7"...that kind of stuff. Well, that's just my opinion and maybe it's not your style.

In any case, keep it up, it's a great job!

  • This is amazing! you should really go public with this. The beginning progressions remind me a lot of the song composed by John Williams for E.T. except yours sounds better! no joke. Great Job

  • You seriously should try asking to do movie music, you're a really talented composer.

  • o my god u are a virtuose

  • Loved it

  • oh my god! It's beautiful, luv it!

  • NOW,, THIS ONE I LIKE!

  • Sounded familiar.

  • Absolutely lovely..it reminds me of rain...very beautiful!!

  • Captivating. A very beautiful and moving composition. Thank you for sharing your talent and creativity.

Just one small suggestion; edit the end of your video more gently! Your mesmerizing spell is broken rather abruptly before your final notes have even had chance to fade away.

  • I thought of the finding neverland soundtrack when listening to this. this piece captures that kind of innocence. Loved it

  • sounded like it came straight from part of a big time movie. it was really good.

  • I am absoloutley mesmorised!

  • divine

  • The first half of this song reminded me of 1. A series of unfortunate events (beginning - :35) 2. Final Fantasy (:35 - :41) 3. Evanescence (:42 - :52) 4. Coldplay (:52 - 1:05) Really Sweet song.

  • I could lose myself in this melody for days. It's like the perfect dream, or the perfect day. Faved.

  • Very nice, sounds and feels like something from Final Fantasy.

  • this song just inspired me in a very blessed way, best subscribe I've made in a long time.

  • I thoroughly enjoy this. You have a talent far worth envying. Good luck with everything!

  • it's beautiful...

  • 5% Chopin's musical Structures; 60% Enya's musical Situations; 20% your own musical honesty; 5% Talent in execution; 10% Talent in composition... I'm 0% speak English...(thanks & patience)

  • very nice .. agree with others you should be famous by now

  • Amazing! FYI...there are ways to plug your piano directly into an audio feed in your camera so you don't get any of the background noise. Great music!

  • How is someone like you not famous already? Obviously you have a following on U-tube. You're so awesome. The music you make is so hauntingly beautiful. I love it.

  • Geez, I just can't believe how good you are. I too am an ear player that hated site reading. But, I DON"T have perfect pitch!

  • genious so enchanting... u should work in the movie business, soundtracks and all...

  • mega beautiful!!!!!! :) sounds like casper!!!! which is also beautiful!

  • Very nice composition. It almost reminds me of something Ray Lynch would do. Are you familiar with him?

  • I enjoyed those soothing sounds! Are you offering any of your music as digital downloads, either for free or for sale?

  • Wow! This is just great! I wish I could just imagine such sounds in my head, much less put it to music. This was just fantastic! WTG Ryan!

  • The chord progression alone creates a beautiful mood and tells a story, very mature writing. You are a very talented composer, I enjoyed it greatly.

  • This is awesome! I mean, I really get the immage of a happy family riding on a carousel. Keep up the good work!

  • wow! thanks for sending me that video! i liked it quite a lot. very much in the moment! i really was there at the carousel moving. you should write the score for my upcoming shortfilms ;-)

  • You should compose music for TV/Movies, because you seem to be able to capture the feel of the moment and could probably make some good stuff for capturing the feel of a movie scene.

  • Hi hr2,

thanks for stopping by and commenting. I don't know if you've read my channel description but that is the exact direction I am heading! Thx!

  • Ahh, I just read it now, good luck!

  • wow that's really good!.. cuz it's simple but really beautiful.. definately sounds like a carousel :p

yeah and i also think of a music box.. =)

it's great that you get your inspirations from your family..

  • Lovely melody. With the fast tempo I can "see" the horses go up and down. I also think of a music box as I listen to this.

  • Hi Elizabeth,

Haven't heard from you for a while...hope all is well. Thanks for listening, it is much appreciated!

    Cheers,

    Ryan

  • Clever writing. I really think of a carousel when I hear it. The triple meter truly helps with that imagery.

  • pretty good....i like it...

  • beautiful.

  • Wow... Very Sweet... Love the motion of this.. Peeks and waves of beautiful Feel! Really enjoyed this~

Amazing for certain... Thank you for sharing~

  • Affecting: It has an etherial and reminiscent qauality.

  • My second master's degree is in music, so anything that I might say is not meant to be critical, only to help you polish this. I would suggest less of a pause between phrases.A carousel has forward motion so I would cut some of the longer notes and rests. Let the forward motion carry you through to a big bang end. I would also expand the right hand patterns to two octaves. See if you can get a copy of Carousel by Jacques Brel to see how he handled the forward motion. Best wishes Pierre

  • Hi Pierre,

I appreciate EVERY comment! If someone is moved enough to let me know what they think, then to me, that is a good thing. So, thank you!

    Cheers,

    Ryan

  • WOOOW!!! Very nice. Oh BTW I still can't figure out the myspace thing, but I'm trying.

  • Hi Matthew,

it's been a while. Thanks for listening, I appreciate it very much!

    Cheers,

    Ryan

  • As some channels said, it remembers me music of some films, even "The piano". Ii evokes me moments or scenes of people runing through the beach... Eitherway it's an awesome composition. Thanks for sharing!

  • I like it. I can really hear a carousel spinning around in the song. Anyway i want to ask u something. Do u make the song first than make the title or the other way around.

  • Thanks for the question dr4gonwidj4j. It depends on the music. Sometimes I just hear a piece out of nowhere. Other times an event will inspire the piece.

    cheers

  • I think this piece is absolutely amazing. Probably one of my favorite piano pieces..really freaking nice... reminds me a bit of Clare De Lune.. ( if thats how you spell it I do not know)

  • Have you seen a French film called 'Amélie'? This piece sounds like a part of the soundtrack - the carousel story only adds to it.

  • Hi Gloria,

I haven't seen that film...I'll have to go rent it. Thanks for listening and commenting!

    Cheers,

    Ryan

  • I've seen Amelie, thankx for reminding me of the movie, I loved it!!! I don't remember the music...anyhow...this piece {peace} is very nice indeed! Thankx Ryan!

  • someone said that all the minors don't capture a carousel, but, given the title, it seems to evoke a carousel... and then some. almost like.. a joy of the moment, but sadness at knowing the fleetingness of it, or something, heh 's what i'm getting anyway, but 's all subjective, right? :)

  • Hi Polly,

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I enjoy reading what everyone has to say...and yes...it is very subjective. And that's ok. Have a good one!

    Cheers,

    Ryan

  • This would be good for a movie. Like the Truman Show or something.

  • Hi Ry,

I haven't heard from you for a long time! Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I like it when people think my music would be good for a movie. That is my ultimate aim.

    Cheers,

    Ryan
