I agree with you man 100%, I just recently decided to take on Latin House as a second genre, I thought I was going to suck at it but they said the people actually liked me and would like to offer me another gig. I also agree you should let your music play at least 85% through, It allowed me to coordinate the smoke and lights with the music. I actually had fun dj-ing for a latin club, and watching latinas shake their booties to the beat wasn't so bad either.

great tips.... But your use of the word Detrimental is not correct 80, 90s, and other genre's are an essential, benefical to becoming a good dj. Detrimental means a disadvatange.
