I wouldn't want Kenshin to be killed by some person. It makes sense that he never really wanted to kill anybody. He wanted to at least see his wife before he died, and he died smiling in his wife's arm. That is just my opinion however.

He doesn't die of a skin desease, his body is all fucked up due to the fatigue his fighting style has grown up on his body, which is manifested as lepera. i like japanese dub better....i thought this end is the best since kenshin have suffered in his entire life(as a killer even he had saved countless lives after that) ...to always seek for forgiveness to all the people for what he did in the past...even if he staying alive, he will always bear the burden of the lives of the people those he killed making him like torturing himself to repent his sins....poor kenshin...why do u always keep forcing urself....=(

I don't see what's wrong about this ending...I think it's really beautiful and fitting. You can't just think Kenshin's going to forget all of his past just like that. It's impossible for him to be a normal person again. At least he gets his peace in the afterlife next to Kaoru and that's what counts.

He did not deserve that. Seriously, died with his son hating him, spending the last of his life fighting in wars and seperated from his loved ones and left his wife to die painful death. I'd have imagined fighting his demons and suffering so much to preserve the peace in Japan would have redeemed him, but he just had to suffer that much more.

I love this ending, it's beautiful. And there's no reason to be sad! because this never happened. This was just the vision of this OVA's director. Nobuhiro Watsuki only checked on the script, and he doesn't even like it, it's not canon! Nor is the last arc of the anime.
this fina was made by the best friend of the creator...in the manga kenshin don't die like this...the original story is that kenshin die when he has 80 years or more..with kaoru..not like this..xD..fucking ending..kenshin die for the "porcin flu" (?)...jm..sucks.
Why I don't hate the ending: many enemies said he would die at the end of a sword, the fate of a manslayer... he avoided that and died peacefully in the arms of his love.
He did not just get sick either, his sword techniques were harmful, near 40 the damage caught up to him and near 50 claimed him. Considering what he said in the first OVA (as a teen) that he knew he'd die young and had come to terms with that, 45-50 was a grand age for him to reach, surely older than he expected back then

so i understand kenshin's entire life is a conundrums struggling to find his true place in life, and his scar is the true mark of pain symbolizing it.
how he gets the scar doesn't really help either =(
seeing his scar finally heal is kenshin finally being free from the pain he carries his entire life, and kaoru freed him of it.
Thank god this wasn't made canon. For my favorite anime/manga, this would be a huge disappointment to me. :\

for killing people and most soldiers are in the army of their own choice which means they have to take responsibility for their actions. I would say you go to hell for taking orders. If you don't want to take them then you shouldn't even be there. I'm pretty sure self-defense is fine though.

If I'm not mistaken, a lot of Nazis were forgiven because they were taking orders from people higher up. The only Nazis that were actually punished for killing innocent people were the Higher-ups.
Now, lets take what you said about the army in general. First off, Fuck you for putting the men who defend your right to talk shit on the same level as the Nazis. Secondly, God commands people in the bible to go to war and kill people. Is God condemning his believers to hell?

They couldn't really condemn the Nazis because frankly, how are they going to know if that person killed many people or none. That would be way too time consuming and would be pretty much impossible so they went after the ones who were in charge to satisfy the people who wanted these people to pay.
First off, they are the same fucking thing! They are both soldiers killing because of their orders. The stuff that was said about protecting your country was said by the Nazis too

Frankly I'm not going to go any deeper into this topic because I don't have the time to but if you want then check about how the military makes their soldier's individuality fall away and how they are built to only obey orders and killing machines. Secondly, that was in the old testament. Did Jesus let Paul (or was it Peter) cut down the other soldiers? No and he even healed the enemy. See, Israel needed to fight for its own land because God wanted them to stand on their own.

I don't see what's wrong about this ending...I think it's really beautiful and fitting. You can't just think Kenshin's going to forget all of his past just like that. It's impossible for him to be a normal person again. At least he gets his peace in the afterlife next to Kaoru and that's what counts.

He did not deserve that. Seriously, died with his son hating him, spending the last of his life fighting in wars and seperated from his loved ones and left his wife to die painful death. I'd have imagined fighting his demons and suffering so much to preserve the peace in Japan would have redeemed him, but he just had to suffer that much more.

I love this ending, it's beautiful. And there's no reason to be sad! because this never happened. This was just the vision of this OVA's director. Nobuhiro Watsuki only checked on the script, and he doesn't even like it, it's not canon! Nor is the last arc of the anime.

this fina was made by the best friend of the creator...in the manga kenshin don't die like this...the original story is that kenshin die when he has 80 years or more..with kaoru..not like this..xD..fucking ending..kenshin die for the "porcin flu" (?)...jm..sucks.

Why I don't hate the ending: many enemies said he would die at the end of a sword, the fate of a manslayer... he avoided that and died peacefully in the arms of his love.
He did not just get sick either, his sword techniques were harmful, near 40 the damage caught up to him and near 50 claimed him. Considering what he said in the first OVA (as a teen) that he knew he'd die young and had come to terms with that, 45-50 was a grand age for him to reach, surely older than he expected back then

to be perfectly honest, this is the perfect ending for me.
see, I started watching rurouni kenshin by seeing the first ova, trust and betrayal.
so i understand kenshin's entire life is a conundrums struggling to find his true place in life, and his scar is the true mark of pain symbolizing it.
how he gets the scar doesn't really help either =(
seeing his scar finally heal is kenshin finally being free from the pain he carries his entire life, and kaoru freed him of it.
well i like it anyways
