Get help, or do what I did when I was a kid, go to the Gym and work on yourself. Most times it is men on women but it does happen to men too. Neither sex deserves domestic violence. Its a negative situation people should get out of asap thru outside help, by leaving or by charging your attacker via the law ect. Leaving it to continue will not usually sort out an individuals incapacity to behave in a civil and non-violent/threatening manner to their spouses/partners or any other person should they choose to assault a member of the public instead of nice and safe at home.
