  • Really sucks!

  • hello i am commenting from ubuntu 10.04.1 image version 2.6.32.27

    lol

  • @pasrvrb Never tried that build. Upgraded from 9.10 to 10.04 and hated it.

  • @commercialsaremywife upgrades are evil

  • @74ryanwolf No, I didn't upgrade it. I backed up all my data to an external hard drive and did a complete install. I don't like the idea of mixing codes.

  • (in ways you never thought possible) To customization....

  • nah dont listent o them show compiz even if it pisses ppl off, compiz rox lol lol i know what he's saying but still its in packadge manager 1 google search got me to compiz in a jiffy when i first used ubuntu and i wasnt mad. Compiz is like the frosting of ubuntu...nobody likes theyre cake(ubuntu) w.o its frosting (compiz). u guys/girls know what i mean LOL

  • Which is the name of the soundtrack in the video? =)

  • @SpaceMarineITA It's iMovie Generic stuff as far as I know.

  • Maybe good realisation, but there is no screen from Ubuntu in that ad that will prove this power of customization... I mean, this ad is good for everythings, it's just few fun words.

  • Customisation, Colour, favourite,Customise. Use British spelling, the rest of the world uses it.

  • @nextstep333 It doesn't matter..

  • Although I somewhat agree with arand2, I believe that adding such an element would detract from the simplicity of the ad. This simplicity is part of the perception of the product as well. This simplicity is something which most people believe Linux lacks. I believe that is is wonderful. I totally want to see this on television!

  • nice ^^

  • I agree with arand2.

But PLEASE, don't use compiz in any of your videos. People will be upset later when ubuntu uses gnome-shell.

  • I get the feeling that somehow the ad should "prove" it's claims in some way...

Maybe in the rainbow section, display 6 or so different ubuntu desktops in the background as a canvas. Could have a nice one-by-one step-in display as well (i.e. display upper left, upper middle, upper right, etc. in a quick sequence until itt fills the screen, or if they each flash a while and fade out instead)

  • @me

Hmm, so basically, what I'm suggesting is to incorporate bits of ad3 into this (just noticed that one :)
