@hakutaker I agree 100%!!! They really did a pretty good job with the voice acting!!! I also like how they don't just limit it to American voice acting too! They throw in some types of accents that sorta gives the game a little bit of diversity! It's going to be a good game!
She's actually played by an Australian comedian I think... Haha so it may be her accent that is throwing you off! I love the Auzzie accent so she's going to be awesome!
oh amp1317 i think the focus is the creatures that the characters turn into and in one of the trailers vanille touches one of those discs and the penguin thingy comes out of her!! i think this is mainly what the story will be about! but its a theory!!
Well I know for a fact that the disk that Vanille touched is the summon spirit Carbuncle.
I think the concept is that the fal'Cie mark normal humans as l'Cie, and give those people a task. The task given isn't clear and simple to figure out, but the l'Cie have a time limit, so if they just give up they'll eventually become one of the monster things. It says something like that on a final fantasy website. I think that "focus" is the task given to them.
But Serah is that girl in the beginning with Snow. She is lightning's sister. It was a little confusing at first because everyone thought Vanille was Serah haha! But that's all we really know right now. Except in the trailer she said she was a li'e ce or however they spell it which means if she doesn' do her focus, she will turn into a monster. Which is why they were like, "Bring her back!" and all the characters are Li'e ce I think... :)
I'm so excited for this. The english voice acting is horrible, though.

Lightning's English voiced is as good as the Japanese one. Many are hoping it was Kari Walghren.
