@emanko111 Hi, if you think of Rhodesian Ridgeback then i don't think they belong in the same family with the Thai Ridgeback. Thai Ridgeback and Rhodesian Ridgeback are 2 different dog races! The only thing in common is the ridge..
@ all thai owners: are your dogs sick sometimes? i got 2 of them ( 6 years old) and they have never been sick.. and our grey male is talking all the time, he never stops.. I would say they are the best dogs you can get, they are so loving( they even dry you after shower) ^^
My dog gets almost never sick.. Its the Terminator T-92 model i guess.. The Thai Ridgeback are dogs with strong personalities..i think that is what makes them special..Good luck with your friends.
@kstef1975 duh because it isn't bred out of sanity... most pedigrees are bred to the point of insanity, if they aren't extremely inbred already. please don't let this happen to this magestic breed. fuck "linebreeding" it's the exact same as inbreeding., just a breeders professional term for such.
@beastmodedelta What's is sanity and what is insanity! I found my dog in the streets of Thailand (that's insanity) 10 weeks old and i got him home with me (that's sanity)! I had no clue about what kind of dog he was back then! It took me some time to figure this out.. :-)
@kstef1975 just saying that scientists have proven that "linebreeding" (which breeders commonly do) has drastically effected intelligence in pedigree dogs.
i am living in austria so i don't know if i can help you. sadly my male as well as my girly dog are not able of getting children anymore( my evil parents are to blame!!!)
But i think the guy where we got ours is still breeding.. But for him its a very personal thing so you have to meet him, convince him that you wont train the dog to cage fighting etc^^
Sorry not trying to be rude - it's a great looking dog, and probably really healthy, but you shouldn't push your own beliefs on an animal (those big sharp teeth aint there to hunt down a potato or cabbage). Respond with a video with some fresh raw roo meat or chicken wings next to a side of un prepared vegetables so I can understand.
I do like the mix of dobe with the Thai Ridgy - they are both great dog breeds.
