and yes even it was an smart trick from nintendo to implement an extra chip in the snes cartride to increase speed with polygon & wire frame graphics,but those graphics are nothing in what n64 and even psx can do.

my highest total score on normal mode without glitches is 1620, I still cannot seem to get the medals at aquas, zoness, and solar no matter how hard I try, any tips?

For aquas, just keep shooting your torpedoes as much as you can and try to enter the level with the hyper lasers because you cannot upgrade on the level as far as I know. For Zoness, try to shoot all of the spotlights, you will make it easier for your crew to stay alive. Solar is a hard one, you have to shoot almost everything you can with a charged laser shot because the majority of the level is trying to keep your health up. Also defeat each boss as fast as you can.
