However: let's stop accusing Elgin of stealing these items etc as he go them from the Ottoman ruler of Athens completely legitimately at the time: Blame the Turks if you must, Elgin and the UK have held them all too long, but they are not thieves: the fact remains: they belong in the Hellenic republic. return then soon.
