i did but i got my refuneded in like 10 mins.. well asked for one im still waiting on it.. all i saw was how to eat and talkin bout stretchin i dint find andy work outs or videos...
@freejumptraining chapter 8?. i dint even know there was chapters maybe ill re invest someday.. goin 2 the airforce maybe that will get my ups like they were.
No it's not for the genetically gifted. I've torn my ACL, I've torn meniscus and after rehabbing my own knee (I used to be a one foot jumper but now two foot jumper because of the surgeries) I can get up there. I can hang on the rim EASILY, I'm seriously an inch away from dunking. Oh, and I'm only 5'5. Dont believe me? Check my channel. Perseverance, dedication, commitment and consistency is all you need to get to the top.
You could just do bench press if your arms are not that strong. It transfers to squats and others. My case I would max to stat: 300 pounds. I'm filling up on nutrition actually and eating more
@DavidTheMasterofKing yeah but trying to bulk all over my upper body from my shoulder muscels to my core and they are all massive muscle groups so i beleive that with them taking all the protein i take to main tain and grow my upper body, and a combination of evry thing else stops my body from growinf all explosive muscle in my legs
@caveman15100 if your arm is dominant, you would feel the push from your upper body when doing squats. You can do better power cleans though and high snatches
ive been on the jump manual for 3 months now and i saw a 2 inch gain in the first week but after that i stopped, i think this might be because i started taking protein shakes with the jump manual but my upper body takes alot, another thing is i play 3 games in a week soon maybe 4 two of witch on one night i find it hard to keep the work out consitent with the reigeme i have i ref also alot and i count that as a work out because im always running so i dont know why im not gaining vertical?
@caveman15100 3 months is a puny time. I meant ac barch in here (10 years). He had 400's on squat BEFORE hitting a 36 inch raw static standing jump. He did made many pauses and mistakes. he rawed 740 lbs partially but the numbers you would see is above those genetical freaks who had 40 inches by just playing xbox. 55 inches! Just gain mass while increasing your squat and one day it'll just provide us transferable horse powers. It is the weight training that is actually difficult. (continued)
You said you used to be a triple jumper which intrigues me that you now do vertical training. When you were a triple jumper, what were your stats: tj pb, squat max, clean max, weight, height, vertical. I'm just curious about all of this because I'm a freshman triple jumper in college and have a 31 inch vertical (which i'm trying to get up drastically) and jump 47 ft.
Totally agree with you Jacob, I first focused on my strenght doing squats until I could lift twice my bodyweight with good form, and that's a tough period because I didnt see significant gains, but once you got that strenght at the right level, man! do plyos and you vertical increases week after week after week...
Keep those videos coming Jacob, you're a great mentor and your words are very motivational
@freejumptraining I REALLY want to get the jump manual but i don't know if it's worth it. I've been watching the videos on the channel (I've seen everyone) I've gone to the free jump training sight and I've gone to the official site multiple times. But I'm not sure if I have some of the resources available (Proper weight room settings, good soft surface for plyometrics, or a credit card). is it really worth it all if this is what i REALLY want to do?
I agree with the correct balance of key principals, almost anyone can achieve a 40 inch vertical. Some people are more suited for reactive ability and some are programmed for strength etc..
genetically gifted? .. No.I did some jumping and some wheight exercises and Ive got 40 inch vert!!!!

@TheKanYeEast007 keep it simple 3 set 10 reps of squats with some type of explosive jump like box jump and sprint full court 6 times.

It's true, I started working on this stuff, and it helped sooo much! And I still have so much room to grow.
