the wushu sword would be a chinese dao or broadsword.a cutlass would be more straight and has a hilt that goes around your fist from the top of the hilt to the bottom of the handle. just a tip for a new pirate sword.

@Vipera217 Use more layer of cardboard and/or cover it in a extremely large amount of duct tape (you can wrap in aluminum foil later). And by extremely large amount I mean a lot that it gets a lot fatter.

Tell me about it i still can't believe that only one flail hit the ground (dry cement) 10 times and didn't break, the good part is that its real strong and light (weight) i even broke an old flower pot (plastic, but thick) so the flail was my best weapon, but now, since my friends broke most of my equipment (were having a competition whos items can "survive" longer) i only have the kiteshield, a cutlass, my beaten up helmet and a katana (my second best weapon) keep postin' you have good ideas :)

Nope :) This two hander is my own design and it is based on the sword from my next novel. I have started the design work and done a cardboard mockup. WIll be a while before I post any vids about it though. Lots of projects going on for me .

for any one who cares, the arabic/pirate looking sword, is always confused between both. a scimitar has a wide blade and the end and a cross guard, usually quite fancy. a cutlass can have a wide blade at the end but not always, it always lots of the time has a piece of metal guarding the fingers, simply called a knuckle guard, inspired by the quick sword fighting similar to fencing which was popular in the time and area.

i think something you should consider to make higher quality weapons because youre very creative and very good at make weapons and armor and stuff but at the same time they dont look very good instead of using sticks in things why dont you get fiberglass and cut the plexiglass in the shape of the sword then cover the fiberglass in duct tape them cover the carboard over the fiberglass they will still be safe more sturdy and look alot better

hey just for a suggestion that might make your weapons look better even though they are great is theres a certain type of electrical tape used for insulation and its silver and its shiney but at the same time its not so metallic so it looks more like an actual opaque color of a real sword as close as you can get it

it also fits very well on weapons is very very strong and has an amazing bond try using that instead make a video and use that trust me you wont regret it

hey i am a huge final fantasy fan, but i have two questions.

First how did you get the hilt onto the buster sword. did you add tape where the handle was or what did you do?

Second: How did you get the alumenuim foil on there so well. i don't see how you did it. oh and would the broomstick be able to withstand a cardboard buster sword that is like the actual size of one which is a good bit bigger? send me a pm or alert me somehow when you get this. i only just started youtube so yeah.

I wrap the whole blade with clear shipping tape. It looks pretty good and acts as a way to protect the foil from rips.
