well I'm a die hard although I started with VII then VIII, IX, X, XII, VI, and V and I don't count XI because it is online so all I need to do is find a way to play III and IV because I can order origins and play I and II.

Being a die-hard final fantasy fan isn't a good thing. The series has gone downhill quality-wise, and some of the early ones weren't even that great. Take 2 for example, it was basically the original Star Wars trilogy, and it has since been copied (like in 6 and others).
Some Final Fantasy games may rock (FFTactics and FF4, for example), but honestly, take a look at the series as a whole. Compare 6 and 7 and tell me that you don't notice that they're essentially the same game, even down to the final form appearance of the final boss. Most of the games are just about a small band of individuals battling against some sort of "bad" organization and trying to some sort of massively powerful evil person that's somehow related to said organization. It's formula RPG.
you may have a point in that but in my opinion the beauty of final fantasy is the imaginary world that you live in that become different from series to the other and the complex of the characters that you well never fell in rpg game except final fantasy
You've never played a RPG game with complex characters other than Final Fantasy? Pick up Chrono Trigger or Legend of Dragoon. Complex characters in a RPG are the rule, not the exception. If you're after a really large, well-developed world though, FF8 is definitely a good choice (as is 9, but more so). Why do you count 13 among your favorites though?

It "looks" very good, but then, what else could you expect from the first Final Fantasy to hit the PS3? Unfortunately, that doesn't tell me much about what the story will be like, though I hear that there won't be much of a main character in this one, and that the story will instead focus on the entire party (much like FF6). I really hope that the plot doesn't end up being as big of a rip-off of FFTactics as 12 was, since this one appears to have warring nations as well.

cloud IS on the game, they just dont include him in the trailers, if you go to the site though you will see that his artwork is included to the rest of the chars, so he is on the game for sure

Hey guys, this is MasterFeja agian and I just finished a new video showing several of the characters that I want to see in the release of this game. It isn't very long (or interesting) "WHO SAID THAT!" o_O, but it would mean a lot to me if you guys took a look. I personally would like to see Gilgamesh from FF5 make an appearance in this game, along with Richard from FF2, Kain from FF4, Gogo fom FF6, and Cid from FF7. I love those guys but there low popularity will not insure them a plce in the game other than as unlockabes, I also heard a rumour that none of the cast from FF12 will be included and I must say that this bites majorly. I have recently read an articule online and according to the developers, the missing villians will be Golbez, ExDeath, Dark Cloud, and Kefka. The heroes have not yet been picked but on a side of good news, as of several weeks ago, Square Enix has announced that Dissidia is 50% complete and that they will publicly announce a release date for the game some time in August of this year. Hate to point this out to you, but Zelda games are usually KILL KILL KILL your way to the final boss. The main character (Link) has received pretty much zero character development. Don't get me wrong, I like Zelda games, but I'd never hold them up as an example of a series with a deep story. Plus, all Zelda games are pretty much the same in regards to gameplay, whereas FF games introduce a new magic system in almost every new game.

Kefka is villian because "he destory the world". S-O! SO WHAT! He rank a COWARD and let his soliders do the fighting. The emperor is really the plan of whole evil plot,not Kefka. He more a supporting role. Only time he became villianry is when he suck some more magic crack and got insane. He didn't do these evil things out of his will. He is more overrated as Sephy. Grow up!

Kuja wasn't threaten or evil as Kefka or Sephy. His purpose is wasn't that evil. He originally created based on the classic Final Fantasy villians. After the final boss, he talks to Zidane of why he doing this things. This shows he wasn't a badass villian but an emo.

I hope they add ridonculas characters, I just like to have choices. My personal favorite...? hmmmm.. It would have to be 10 i guess. Its got a great story, and awesome gameplay. He's definitely not the weakest - he destroyed an entire world (Terra) just like that. Maybe he wouldn't beat Sephiroth, but he'd give him a run for his money... Unless you're taking about him being 'weak' as an actual in-game fight, in which case yes he was pretty easy, compared to Sephiroth who destoryed the entire solar system several times over somehow in order to slightly injure you in the fight against him... :P
People probably don't realise this, but Kuja is probably the most powerful individual villian to date. All of Kuja's power originated from his own body, nothing extra or sinister was added... Kuja did not need to absorb magicite or collect black materia to gain his power, he was just a really powerful person.
Also, if you didn't notice, in FFIX, you never did beat Kuja in combat. At the end, he casted Ultima to destroy everyone including himself. He almost destoryed the universe.
Finally, people who give Kuja his due credit. Kuja was indeed a powerful person, and one who would give Kefka and Sephiroth a good run. Because in the VI world, Magicite/Espers are needed to gain power, while VII it was Materia (which Sephiroth DID have to use, if you remember when he was in your party in flashback). The characters of IX all had their strength within themselves which was rather interesting, and weird. But it makes them slightly stronger to me. Especially Kuja.
I think Kuja is going to get more fans after this game is released. Sephiroth and Kefka have enough fans, although I think I like Kefka fans better then Sephiroth fans ((Not all Sephiroth fans.... but most, since most like him because of AC and Kingdom Hearts... which is lame)).
Seriously, a lot of Final Fantasy characters deserve more attention rather then Cloud, Sephiroth and Squall.

I personally really want to try this game out. I'm a big fan of FF9, and to finally see Zidane getting some game time makes me happy. Zidane was probably my favorite protagonist out of all FF games.

Well the "kid" is 22 years old and an X-ray tecnisian (I hope this is the correct word) but thanks for trying to help me, but I think both sides have hirled enough insults to one another for this decision to stop.
However, Sedalb does seem to have a point. There's a lot of fans who think their favorite game is the best game. This isn't just for Final Fantasy VII, but for the other games as well. I've seen FFVI fans say "Final Fantasy VI is the best" and that's wrong because it's opinion.
Anyways, this game looks pretty cool, although I'd have to wait until more footage comes out before I can judge it fairly.
Personally I liked 8 but I respect 7 alot since it was the break through FF needed to keep running you know after the low sales they got for 1-6 not saying they're not great just at the time I guess people didn't like the whole typical rpg. And yeah I don't know if Versus 13 is gonna be good or not but meh more my type of game. But anyways let's not be anti final fantasy on any of them, its a form of abuse.

Being a die-hard final fantasy fan isn't a good thing. The series has gone downhill quality-wise, and some of the early ones weren't even that great. Take 2 for example, it was basically the original Star Wars trilogy, and it has since been copied (like in 6 and others).

Some Final Fantasy games may rock (FFTactics and FF4, for example), but honestly, take a look at the series as a whole. Compare 6 and 7 and tell me that you don't notice that they're essentially the same game, even down to the final form appearance of the final boss. Most of the games are just about a small band of individuals battling against some sort of "bad" organization and trying to some sort of massively powerful evil person that's somehow related to said organization. It's formula RPG.

You've never played a RPG game with complex characters other than Final Fantasy? Pick up Chrono Trigger or Legend of Dragoon. Complex characters in a RPG are the rule, not the exception. If you're after a really large, well-developed world though, FF8 is definitely a good choice (as is 9, but more so). Why do you count 13 among your favorites though?

It "looks" very good, but then, what else could you expect from the first Final Fantasy to hit the PS3? Unfortunately, that doesn't tell me much about what the story will be like, though I hear that there won't be much of a main character in this one, and that the story will instead focus on the entire party (much like FF6). I really hope that the plot doesn't end up being as big of a rip-off of FFTactics as 12 was, since this one appears to have warring nations as well.

I personally would like to see Gilgamesh from FF5 make an appearance in this game, along with Richard from FF2, Kain from FF4, Gogo fom FF6, and Cid from FF7. I love those guys but there low popularity will not insure them a plce in the game other than as unlockabes, I also heard a rumour that none of the cast from FF12 will be included and I must say that this bites majorly. I have recently read an articule online and according to the developers, the missing villians will be Golbez, ExDeath, Dark Cloud, and Kefka. The heroes have not yet been picked but on a side of good news, as of several weeks ago, Square Enix has announced that Dissidia is 50% complete and that they will publicly announce a release date for the game some time in August of this year. Dude. Final Fantasy is "overrated". Is only nerds like this series. There's other series are better than Final Fantasy. You just cry baby. Only it series really saved is part of the gameplay and the graphics.

Zelda and FF should do a Cross-over in a Kingom Hearts game. Link and Sora would be awesome together. FF and Zelda are like hand in hand when it comes to coolness. you forget that Final Fantasy started out on Nintendo, and is slowly coming back to Nintendo. I seriously think seeing a Sora and Link meeting is highly possible now with the thanks of Square getting pissed off at Sony (For reasons I do not know), they now are thinking about reuniting with Nintendo. I notice some Square games like "End of the World" and "Final Fantasy 4" is coming at the DS. But also Square sign with XboX for other games, too. The relationship with Square and Sony is going strong and Sony don't have cenorship rules or nothing.
Square wanted expand their franshie more to US, so I can see Square and Nintendo start slowly get together and make some good games. ( I like Kingdom Hearts, too).

Hate to point this out to you, but Zelda games are usually KILL KILL KILL your way to the final boss. The main character (Link) has received pretty much zero character development. Don't get me wrong, I like Zelda games, but I'd never hold them up as an example of a series with a deep story. Plus, all Zelda games are pretty much the same in regards to gameplay, whereas FF games introduce a new magic system in almost every new game.

Kuja wasn't threaten or evil as Kefka or Sephy. His purpose is wasn't that evil. He originally created based on the classic Final Fantasy villians. After the final boss, he talks to Zidane of why he doing this things. This shows he wasn't a badass villian but an emo.
I find better villians outside of FF that is smarter and more 'villianry".
Today, villians are more human but not crazy and weroid.

I hope i don't get attacked for this... but I didn't think FF X-2 was that bad. The job system was great, and it was a bit corny, but hey what can you do? Dissidia looks fricken awesome. I'm stoked. I hope they add ridonculas characters, I just like to have choices. My personal favorite...? hmmmm.. It would have to be 10 i guess. Its got a great story, and awesome gameplay. After that though... final fantasy went downhill. Kinda sucks, but I know their gonna get back on their feet! Good Luck SE!

He's definitely not the weakest - he destroyed an entire world (Terra) just like that. Maybe he wouldn't beat Sephiroth, but he'd give him a run for his money... Unless you're taking about him being 'weak' as an actual in-game fight, in which case yes he was pretty easy, compared to Sephiroth who destoryed the entire solar system several times over somehow in order to slightly injure you in the fight against him... :P

People probably don't realise this, but Kuja is probably the most powerful individual villian to date. All of Kuja's power originated from his own body, nothing extra or sinister was added... Kuja did not need to absorb magicite or collect black materia to gain his power, he was just a really powerful person.
Also, if you didn't notice, in FFIX, you never did beat Kuja in combat. At the end, he casted Ultima to destroy everyone including himself. He almost destoryed the universe.

Finally, people who give Kuja his due credit. Kuja was indeed a powerful person, and one who would give Kefka and Sephiroth a good run. Because in the VI world, Magicite/Espers are needed to gain power, while VII it was Materia (which Sephiroth DID have to use, if you remember when he was in your party in flashback). The characters of IX all had their strength within themselves which was rather interesting, and weird. But it makes them slightly stronger to me. Especially Kuja.

I think Kuja is going to get more fans after this game is released. Sephiroth and Kefka have enough fans, although I think I like Kefka fans better then Sephiroth fans ((Not all Sephiroth fans.... but most, since most like him because of AC and Kingdom Hearts... which is lame)).
Seriously, a lot of Final Fantasy characters deserve more attention rather then Cloud, Sephiroth and Squall.

Well it is nothing short of true when most people here would probably buy a game if it has Cloud and Sephiroth in it. They're popular characters, they have a huge fanbase, but when I look at themajority of the comments made from that fanbase, I can't help but fell as if they like the characters for the wrong reasons.

Everybody have an opinion. A person can't tell someone that a character is "overrated"
In my perspective, this comment is not an opinion,but criticism of the person.
I try to be nice but somehow everybody has to be a bitch about everything, even people like Justaddbacon, is so surpreme.
Can we all respect in one's opinion and stop this silly debate?

Everbody need to shut up. Nobody is not winning the fight. Final Fantasy is just a game. Everbody, including me, just say their stupid opinions about their stupid characters. Only thing childless is two things:
1.FVII didn't read or understand my comment. Reread it.

I think the problem here is that you have trouble reading... may I suggest starting off with children's books, they're simple and easy to start off with. The pictures also help you understand what the story is presenting XD

I personally really want to try this game out. I'm a big fan of FF9, and to finally see Zidane getting some game time makes me happy. Zidane was probably my favorite protagonist out of all FF games.

However, Sedalb does seem to have a point. There's a lot of fans who think their favorite game is the best game. This isn't just for Final Fantasy VII, but for the other games as well. I've seen FFVI fans say "Final Fantasy VI is the best" and that's wrong because it's opinion.
Anyways, this game looks pretty cool, although I'd have to wait until more footage comes out before I can judge it fairly.

Personally I liked 8 but I respect 7 alot since it was the break through FF needed to keep running you know after the low sales they got for 1-6 not saying they're not great just at the time I guess people didn't like the whole typical rpg. And yeah I don't know if Versus 13 is gonna be good or not but meh more my type of game. But anyways let's not be anti final fantasy on any of them, its a form of abuse.
