  • Am I the only one finding Jesus Christ in George Harrison?

  • @kjetilodin nope

  • we miss u george.... <3 <3 <3

  • George; such a spiritual person...pity there aren't more of such people in these days of greed and avarice!

  • Sad to see bickering on this comment page instead of talking about the man and his art- which I must say- for a commercial artist- is the most under appreciated of all time. Songs are profound... About day to day life, and so meaningful. God bless GH

  • This wasnt George Harrison, this was the whole Beatles, off of Abby Road

  • @Dj3antar Yeah but George wrote it, sang it, and played guitar to it

  • Listen to the live 90 min. interview on the Dick Cavett show, he did want to be famous of course, he said he wanted to get out on his own to do all of his OWN songs, and if he stayed with the Beatles it would take over 100 years. He loved performing and being famous.

  • @thegrinchl7 George harrison didn't want to be famous, he learnt that after they started to skyrocket to fame. That's why he didn't do much publicity things because it would just suck him in more. I know this from reading multiple biographies.

  • It is wrong that the video of this song with John has more hits than the pic of George

  • Watch george harrisons "living in a material world" its extraordinary. What a great man.

  • i allways think that golden age of music is far behind us but im hoping its gonna be better someday

  • Sent here by my uncles Rather marvellous music taste -w- <3

  • having to put up with lady gaga when past generations had these kind of guys

  • They were both great men. Now stop fighting.

  • lo mejor de lo mejor

  • i just liked this

  • 0:33 that picture is beast

  • AMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO esta canciòn, la letra es simplemente preciosa

  • he most have been a very sweet man, what a great lovesong!

  • i am 14 and i'm proud because i'm not a victim of reggaeton/justin bieber. :)

    george ha-rri-son <3

  • A true genius, artist. George you are my inspiration.

  • If you would like to learn more about the life and career of George Harrison I recommend you watch the documentary "Living in a Material World". This documentary really shows what a kind and nice person George was, - loved by many - and that he also was a brilliant musician and composer. I think he was more important to the Beatles than most people realise. Sad he had to leave this world way too early.

  • @MK3B4YV6 - Let me ask you a question: why

do you suppose George Harrison's new (only)

documentary is named "Living In A Material World"?

What Scorsese is alluding too here (take note,

MrAnge...it's not "elude") is that what George

Harrison often SAID and what he often DID were

two different things. George's problem is one of

deep hypocrisy. If George was so "Brilliant" it is

likely this Martin Scorsese film would've gotten

a theatrical release. It simply had no broad appeal.

  • @thegrinchl7

    (1) I have read your other comments to this clip - and it has become very obvious to me, that you are not the biggest fan of George Harrison on this earth. Thats fair enough. However I do not understand your "crusade-like" raid against George Harrison. I am not saying that George was a saint - even the documentary points out very clearly that George had 2 sides - a dark and a light side - and he did not always treat his women in the best way.

  • @thegrinchl7

    (2) It is-and has never been a big secret-that in the last years of the Beatles, there was a lot of arguing and tension in the band. But I am pretty sure, that people like John and Paul have not always been easy to cooperate with. Especially Paul was very ambitious and often wanted the last word. Dont underestimate George, his role was often to be the mediator between Paul and John. Like I said: I am 100% sure, that GH was way more important to the Beatles than many believe

  • @thegrinchl7

    (3) And how the fuck can you say he was no musical genious? Have you ever sat down and listened to tracks like "Something"? If that is not a song - written by a musical genious - then I really do not know what it is. And if George was really a prick like you want him to appear - how come there has been so many positive comments about him after his death? From people like Eric Clapton, Jackie Stewart, Klaus Voorman, Jim Keltner the Python´s and even his old band-colleagues?

  • @thegrinchl7

    (4) And finally: According to the documentary, even on his deathbed he (probably joking) - asked Ringo if he should join him on his trip to visit Ringos daughter who had a braintumor?

Yeah...only a real prick would ask that question lying on his deathbed.

I still maintain my point, that George was way, way more important to the Beatles than many people believe, he was a musical genious and a nice and caring person.

And he also had his "dark side" - but don´t we all??

  • @MK3B4YV6- Well spoken! Which begs the question:

why do you like George? George attracts a more pedestrian,

working class crowd. I think George is the one Beatle

who reminds them of themselves. Housewives, teens

and sentimental baby-boomers who love ANYTHING

that reminds them of their youth make up the rest. George

was caught up in the Beatle vortex which elevated

everyone associated. If George had been a turkey

sandwich, turkey sandwiches would now be called

    "geniuses" too.

  • @MK3B4YV6 (cont.)- George took up the mantle

of the noble Beatle and proceeded to build himself

a pedestal he was obliged to fall off of. I suppose

he can be praised for at least shooting higher.

However, since he is NOT a musical "genius" he's

not afforded the normal courtesies extended our

eccentric artists. He preached health with a cigarette

in his mouth and then DIED from it. He hated MATERIALISM

but lived in a 120-room mansion. This is not a "dark",

    this is ridiculous!

  • @MK3B4YV6 -(Cont.)...and finally, I don't think George was a very nice person AT ALL. His concert for Bangladesh was the idea of his accountant. Millionaires can sometimes keep MORE of their money is by giving SOME OF IT AWAY. George demonstrates a life long petty resentment towards people, places and things. Not at all in keeping with his "spiritual" posturing. Watch the Y/T video titled "George Harrison talks about Paul McCarntney". Sour grapes never knew a more bitter man!
  • @thegrinchl7

    And one more last thing:

Viewing your Youtube-channel it becomes very obvious that your "troll"-factor is significant. So don´t bother sending a thousand replies to me like you did to @FIghtWolf - because my life is to short to discuss with troll´s that are not very objective in their comments.

I respect your opinion concerning George Harrison - so you should also respect mine!

  • Perfect Song (y)

  • RIP George!

  • RIP. 10 year anniversary.

  • why cant cant music be like this anymore with real meaning? in tired of all the fake shit

  • George was Genuine !

  • wot a totally handsome bloke x

  • just awesome x

  • the beatles -- something !!!!!!!

  • George harrison = 2nd coming of Jesus

When he had the long hair!!

  • George was a talented bloke - you naysayers - eat shit. You'll never reach his status as he was a Beatle. ALL the Beatles had solo careers which is much more than most groups after they split up. Creative studio techniques? Yes. No autotune, no copy/paste to duplicate parts, etc. I can't turn on the radio or watch commercials without hearing a Beatle influence. I imagine the detractors aren't old enough to know the true impact of that band when they landed and conquered the US music scene. Pan

  • I love how the boys didn't take George seriously when he pitched this song until he brought Clapton in :)

  • @bunnyyummy123 - What does this say of Harrison

that "the boys" didn't take his music seriously? George

made 3 good songs in his life. This one and "Gently

Weeps" got help from John and Paul. His biggest "hit"

turned out to be PLAGIARIZED. Keep in mind that his

new (only) documentary skipped theaters entirely and

went straight to cable TV. Considering this was a

Scorsese film and the subject was an ex-Beatle...this

was seen as nothing less than a complete failure. The

    jokes on George!

  • @thegrinchl7 What are you talking about? Honestly, the guy is dead. Leave him alone. He accomplished a lot. Are you saying that NO ONE but George took some ideas from other artists? John sure did. So did the Stones. That doesn't make them any less of an amazing musician.

  • @bunnyyummy123 -What plagues George isn't that

he's like other celebrities (quite obviously he was) It's

that he postured himself as different. What are we to

make of a man who preached the evils of MATERIALISM

while embracing it? This is a disturbing HYPOCRISY.

Qualities you would never tolerate in a friend you

somehow tolerate in George Harrison. Quit groveling

at the feet of celebrities (especially this one). If his music

was so "amazing" why did his documentary lay a colossal

    egg?

  • @thegrinchl7 Honestly, I could care less what George's values and morals were. All in all, you can think whatever you want. But he was a genuinely nice guy who cared about his son and made amazing music. You can't possibly argue with that. Like I said, he's dead. Leave him alone.

  • @thegrinchl7 and it's not like that one documentary is really valid. It's one movie. There are plenty more books and movies about him.

  • @bunnyyummy123 - George enjoys 1 exclusive films

on his life: "Living In A Material World". That's it! It's

embarrassing to list his books in films against that of

John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Both John and Paul

are an industry unto themselves. John alone has 40 films

that focus on his life, words, music or art. Many of these

were all 1rst run feature films that had their run in theaters ALL OVER THE WORLD. George only commands a cable

TV spot. He simply has no wide appeal otherwise.

  • @thegrinchl7 Ever hear of the beatles anthology? And like I said, he's dead. Leave him alone.

  • @bunnyyummy123 - "Anthology" is not about George, it's

about the Beatles. George was the driving force behind

Anthology. Not for artistic or sentimental purposes (remember,

he hated the Beatles) he did it because HE WAS BROKE.

It was Harrison who pushed for making "new Beatle hits"

out of John's old cassette demos. I will make a deal with you:

If you fans quit trying to make George into a SAINT and a

musical GOD...I will quit trying to remind you how terribly

    flawed he really was. OK?

  • @thegrinchl7 Since when did George hate the Beatles? No matter what differences they had, they were really great friends with each other. Paul held George's hand on his death bed. And you are trying to tell me George was broke? They didn't get much money because of poor business skills since Brian died (killed himself), but don't try to tell me George was broke. You're the one who said he indulged in the "material world" when he was trying to promote the opposite. I never said he wasn't flawed.

  • @bunnyyummy123, it's me FlghtWolf. I'm thegrinchl7! And TwoUselessLegs. And CubanCheGuevara. And ArgentineExpel4Fraud. Yah. I'm that trolling kotex who hates on Harrison. I'm a flagrant liar! George NEVER wanted to do Anthology. Apple did. George was NEVER broke (even when running short in the 1990s, he had 20 million pounds--40 MILLION DOLLARS--in the bank). When he died, he had over 200 million.

So when I don't accuse him of bein' broke, I accuse him of obscene wealth! I'm a skeezy shithead!

  • @thegrinchl7 I just said I don't care what he did because no matter what you say, you can't help but know that he was a great artist and musician. He was a good man when you look past his character defects. But as I have said, he's dead. Leave him in peace. And that goes to anyone who is bashing his name.

  • @bunnyyummy123 - I think it's just as ugly to foist praise on a dead man as it is to criticize him. I'll make this offer again: I'll quit trying bring George down if YOU and your friends quit trying to make him into a SAINT. We both know he was no musical "genius". So BACK OFF and so will I. Got it celebrity worshiper?

  • @thegrinchl7 I never said I was forcing you to praise him because he was dead, I said leave the damn man alone. I never said he was a saint. He was just as flawed as anyone else. I respect him as a person and a musician. Although I love his music, the title of musical genius is help by John and Paul. But George is very respectful in my humble opinion, but contrary to your beliefs I don't think anyone sees him as a saint.

  • @bunnyyummy123 - Watch the YouTube video titled "George Harrison Talks About Paul McCartney" and tell me how "respectful" George is in your "humble" opinion. Why do I get the feeling I'm talking to a child?

  • @thegrinchl7 Well I know for a fact that I'm talking to an incompetent belligerent asshole. Do you really care so much about how "horrible" George was that you would research to back up your opinion? Have you totally dismissed what I've said? He was very flawed but I look past that and respect his work. So please, shut the hell up? Or do you still feel the need to sway my opinion that I've held for years?

  • @bunnyyummy123 - Well, I don't personally have to

"sway" your opinion. If you're intellectually honest,

you'll do that yourself. I'm not saying that George was

simply "flawed"...I'M SAYING HE WAS A SHIT. Just

watch the video "George Harrison Talks About Paul

McCartney". I think it will be hard for even YOU to

deny that somebody who STABS their friend and

colleague is anything but an asshole. Once again:

try to be intellectually honest instead of a emotional,

    uninformed Beatle fan.

  • Hi. It's me Flghtwolf! I'm the George Harrison-hatin' assmunch who trolls Monday through Monday, peddling my uninformed horse shit. I use a whole bunch of nambla-inspired troll IDs doin' it. thegrinchl7? ME! CubanCheGeuvara? ME TOO! TwoUselessLegs? ME AGAIN! ArgentineExpel4Fraud? ME! ME! ME!

Hey! I'm TAWKIN'! I'M SAYING I'M A SHIT. Intellectually dishonest! Uninformed Harrison Hater! A liar! I'm a garage-dwelling shithead who doesn't play a note of music bullshitting about George. That's my life!

  • @thegrinchl7

FF sake - this is all pointless . You may as well be discussing the merits of Napoleon . You didn't know the man,you never met the man or anyone that did . Enjoy the music that he made ,,,or not !

Failing that ,get a girlfriend or a hobby or just get out more !

  • @TheFlyboysevere - LOL All these posts are "pointless"!

Even YOURS! Where was your lofty indignation when

"Bunny" was elevating George Harrison to sainthood? Or

"axel" with his sentimental stories of how this song

made him cry? None of these people "KNEW" George

Harrison...but that doesn't stop them from calling him a

"KIND" and "DECENT" man. How the hell would they know

that? And you just fabricated this screen name 2 weeks ago,

wheelchair boy! We can only WISH you could get a girl!

  • @thegrinchl7 Wait, are you the guy who worships John Lennon? The man who purposely abandoned his own son and didn't do anything about it, that John Lennon? Dude, John was shot for a reason. He was a hypocrite who never practised what he preached.

  • @choobuka - Wait, aren't you the guy that posts on KELLY CLARKSON videos? LOL...and you think you're in a position to defend George Harrison? Tee hee!

  • @thegrinchl7 Wait, aren't you that spastic guy in the wheelchair? And I can defend whoever the hell I want, thank you very much.

  • LOL All my posts are "pointless"!Even THIS ONE! Where was my lofty indignation when Lennon was hoarding mansions, luxury apartments, and properties on both coasts? I was elevating Lennon to sainthood! Or what about my sentimental BULLSHIT about Lennon never pretending to be something he wasn't! CACA! I "KNEW" I was just squawkin' under my thegrinchl7 this and the CubanCheGuevara that. Doesn't stop me from calling you wheelchair boy cuz I'm a pathetic loser! I only WISH I could get a girl!

  • @thegrinchl7, Yah. It's me again. And again. And again. FlghtWolf the assmunch! thegrinchl7 the douchebag. CubanCheGuevara the garage dwellin' mama's boy. ArgentineExpel4Fraud the fart in the wind. John alone has 3 films. 40 people saw it. Me and my trolls! Couldn't name a first run feature film of John or Paul that was worth anything to anyone. Me? I just make shit up. I'm so pissed off that George Harrison outsold John!

FUCK. I'm a Wheelchair! My spokes simply have no wide appeal.

  • @thegrinchl7 " Quit groveling at the feet of celebrities"

Well, why don't you quit groveling at the feet of Lennon? Lennon was one of, if not the most overrated men on the face of the earth. 'Imagine no possessions'? Then why the hell did he move to America? So he wouldn't pay tax. He lived in the Dakota for God's sake. He had millions upon millions and didn't give one cent to charity. Instead, he bought that Japanese whore and spent all his money on cows and real estate.

  • @choobuka - John Lennon never claimed the mantle of

the "spiritual" Beatle...the "quiet" Beatle. This is George

    Harrison's hypocrisy.

  • @choobuka You don't know that Yoko's from one of the wealtiest families in Japan. She didn't need any money from John Lennon. Do your homework before making such a false statement.

  • @ChanoineStraub She was the black sheep of the family she said, so I am not sure how much of their money would be hers true statement.

  • @bd9598 My point is not whether she herself had a lot of money before meeting John. What I mean is if you are from a very weathy family, you wouldn't be looking for a man just for his money. If money had been what she wanted, there were many other rich men. Her husband before John wasn't rich. Many people think she went after John's money and their relationship led to the Beatles' breakup. It's not true at all. If that was the reason, why didn't they reunite when Yoko left John in the 70s?

  • Something in the way he wrote.................RIP Georgy boy

  • @heavydeeeeee its not george boy, its "Baby Georgie" thy is what paul, ringo, and john called him.

  • @shelbydee60656 sorry hun, it's always been Georgy boy to me.....that's what I called him.

  • @heavydeeeeee but it will never change what the others called him.

  • The great man

  • One of the most romantic songs ever. If I was Patti Boyd & had Mr Harrison write this about me I would be VERY impressed!

  • The most beautiful love song ever written. Thank you George, you remind me why we are here. To live, laugh and love.

  • this song... it makes me melt.

  • 6 people dislike something.

  • @gekalskip If i find those 6 people, i will run them over with my ambulance.

  • Wow thank you for a beautiful creative montage I am a videographer editor

That was great thank you again for your time to do this and for sharing this with the utube world

    Lx

  • Well thumbs up for george looking like jesus and a lot of people cant pull that look off.

  • One of Sinatras favourite songs..written by the classy George. Wish he had written it for me!

  • Gorgeous.

  • @AlchemicGnosis what an idiot

  • at that moment , was he already cheating his wife with starr's wife?

he can sing to love but he was so hippieXD

  • @AlchemicGnosis wtf? how the fuck can u even think like that?

  • @TheMarcioGuitar allow me to clarify. that is what we like to call a joke. he wasnt insulting anyone's songwriting, just noting the greatness of this song, and the at times competitive nature the band's songwriting, which made them so great. granted, i hate the "4 people are blah blah blah" comments as much as the next guy, but this was relatively clever, and in no way insulting anyone in the beatles. that being said, i suggest you and everyone else who got mad at the comment calm down a bit.

  • 4 dislikes !?... really how could u not like this song ??

  • @Sharpofeos Because there's no talk about sex, drugs or "gettin' money."

  • @ggreen7295 I know thats right brotha !

  • @Sharpofeos

Casualties of RAP & Hip-Hop "music" probably ;-)

  • Meanwhile in Africa, honey badger still doesn't give a shit.

  • a guy writing a classic like this for his lady....Miss Boyd must of been very impressed. I know i sure would of been

  • Apperantly there's this guy called Jesus, who's a big wannabe George Harrison.

  • @Thecrazypig3 - That wasn't all that funny THE FIRST TIME you said it. Don't you have any other material?

  • Best guitar solo ever.

  • Personally I enjoy more the song just with George! I love the Beatles! But I like this one just with Harrison!

  • Something in the way she moves <3

  • @sharkbrain come on. This is harrison, not beatles. its his song

  • This is another master piece of a truly underrated: GEORGE HARRISON

  • @fox7993 Absolutly agree!

  • This is Frank Sinatra's favorite love song! Look it up

  • this is the first beatles song that I ever loved.

  • Pure Beauty. One hell of a man, an amazing individual, and a proud martyr. And is all 100% true.

  • @Sharkbrain well george harrison wrote this song

  • te amare por siempreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee desde venezuela un alma perdidamente enamorada d esta alma d Dios llamada george harrison,,,,

  • this melody remind me the time i didn't know the text but its melody always did make my soul cry..too sweet, too similat to my inner feelings..unforgettable as my youth...

  • Amazing song! I'm pretty sure everyone on this planet would have know about The Beatles! They're more famous then the president!

  • ¿Porqué pone Harrison si son the Beatles?

  • @txemata1 EYYY TE GUSTAN LOS BEATLES? TENGO MI CANAL ESPECIAL DE ELLOS AUNQUE BASTANTE OLVIDADO PERO LO TENGO, A MI ME ENCANTAN COMO VOLVIAN LOQUITAS A LAS CHIKAS QUE CAIAN COMO MOSCASSS ELECTRUCUTADAS, JAAAA

  • @incaoxo Electrocutadas, jaa.Los beatles son los mejores, son los padresde la música pop;hicieron todos los estilos y cambiaron el mundo.Me gustan desde que tenía quince años, y me gustaran hasta que me muera.

  • @txemata1 JAA SE ME FUE LA PALABRA MAL ESCRITA, AJAA TENGO UNOS VIDEOS Y SOLO GRITABAN Y GRITABAN Y PUMMM, CAIAMMM QUE EFECTOOO!!!! JAAA NUNCA HE SEGUIDO A NINGUN ARTISTA DE ESA FORMA, PERO LOS GRINGOS ASI SON, DE EFUSIVOS A TODO APLAUDEN COMO DESDE EL FONDO DE SUS ENTRAÑAS, AHHH ESTA BIEN, PERO QUE DROGOS FUERON, Y COMO SE IMITO Y QUE TAN TERRIBLE QUE LA GENTE ECHE A PERDER LAS POCAS NEURONAS QUE TENGAN AHH LENNON SI, EN VERDAD QUE DICEN QUE HICIERON ESO, YO PUES ME HUBIERA GUSTADO

  • no jealousy involved. they must love it. its beyond words.live, love, enjoy, just as he did.

  • The best song by george and the beatles !!!! ever

  • Comment removed

  • The "ole crooner" himself, Frank Sinatra, stated:

" Something" was and will most likely be the greatest love song ever written."

I must say that I agree wholeheartedly with him.

  • this song mekes me think of george as jesus

  • 'The greatest song ever written', according to Frank Sinatra. George was the youngest of the Fab Four, but the most wonderful & talented musician of his generation in my humble opinion.

  • The greatest song ever written according to Frank Sinatra. George was the youngest but the most wonderful musician of his generation in my humble opinion.

  • George is my favorite Beatle 4ever... Wonderful song ! ♫♫♫

  • fuck this song is beatiful

  • people complain about pauls bass part being overly busy, but with those changes, how could anyone resist?georges tunes have a way of doing that to people.ever hear someone solo on "while my guitar gently weeps" they almost always go nuts{see gary moores solo}and they want to go on for ever, you gotta beat them off with a baseball bat.seems the only one who could play a george tune with restraint was george,he NEVER overplayed, which is the mark of a truly mature player.
