  • how old is this viedo?

  • Wow! Chills. I searched on these videos after show the but I still get chills. The only guy they could pull this off with was Jason Bonham. The guy is a monster on drums. I heard him with Foreigner. It's the blood.

  • Greatest Band Of All Time! If these guys were 90 years old in a rest home, I would be honored to be in the same room with them. They are ROCK ROYALTY...PERIOD!

  • plant just wont sing it the way he did and i can feel it deep that hes holding back

  • @Leadtheband96

He might break his voice if he tries.

He smoke and drank heavily in hos youff...

  • when did this occur?

  • Over two years.

  • we know who it is. but as true zeppelin fans, weve heard much much better.......

  • Oh, I'm sure that Messrs Page, Plant and Jones would be thrilled to know that people like you are fans of their music.

'jewtube'- where did you get that from? your grandfather?

  • LP... Linkin park? Im sure they never sung this song.....

  • He meant "album" version. LP=studio album (long play).

  • you guys are blind, that's John Paul Jones. And that's Zeppelin--still the best rock band in the world

  • To be fair, I couldn't tell John Paul Jones from Janet Jackson by looking at this shaky video :)

  • to be fair they do look fairly similar.

  • John Paul Jones is the one with his nipple on show.

  • Different bass player? John Paul Jones without hair isn't himself no more?

  • If by "not himself," you mean awesome as ever, then you sir are correct.

  • how tall is that screen??

  • Of course it's still zeppelin! There are plenty of bands missing members of the original line up who are still going by the same name. I mean, look at Thin Lizzy they're missing Phil Lynott and they've been going for ages! Just because Plant is using a different key from at LEAST 30 years ago doesn't make him any less talented and it doesn't mean he has to change his band name. Led Zeppelin is what he is largely known from and it must take guts for him to keep going, it's not easy to STAY famous

  • Who is the bell end who says that this is not Zeppelin. It is. It was played at the o2 arena concert.

  • led zep never played this song live..EVER...This is Plant...Not Zep

  • that sure looks like jimmy page

  • Might be Plant & Page but not Zeppelin

  • it most certainly is led zeppelin.

  • 'The full version of the song was played at Led Zeppelin's reunion show on 10 December 2007, at the O2 Arena in London.'

    Wikipedia never lies

  • Not Zep...Bonzo wasn't there

  • Ok It's Zeppelin but with a different bass player & drummer.

  • THANK YOU!!! you're on of the first people who has ever said anything critical about the 02 concert besides me. No one admits this concert wasn't great. No one. Robert Plant should've picked the later songs, the ones he might actually be able to sing. Like All My Love, or Achilles Last Stand. Just practice a set list of songs that aren't sang in such a high key. Instead of lowering the key of the songs and ruining the song.

  • Whoa!

    1) He didn't ruin the performance of those songs by singing them in a lower key.

    2) Plant has been singing in a quote "lower key" since around the late 70s.

    3) I could listen to any Zeppelin song live and be satisfied but many people would have flipped shit if they didn't play Stairway, Ramble On, Rock N Roll, etc.

    4) Does it sound like their recorded or live stuff from the 70s? No, but it takes guts on the part of Plant to do, much less pull off, songs like this.

  • well thats the point he didn't pull off these songs. i don't believe its ok to just say the quality was awesome when he doesn't sound even close to the recording or live stuff.

robert plant is iconic for his '70s voice. he's better off moving away from rock and roll now.

i know he's been singing in a lower key since late 70s. It wasn't as good as early 70s. But at least when you heard the song, the voice still resembled the recording. Now you just don't hear it.

  • President Obama is planning a SUGAR TAX. NEVERMIND most substances contain sugar

  • this video is horrible

  • crappy video quality, but you are ONE DAMN LUCKY GUY to be at that concert

  • I hate the fact that these wannabe Z listers got tickets and I tried so hard because I really love this band, and half the z listers probably didnt know half the fucking songs! Pricks!!!

  • I ain't tellin' no lie. Mine's a tale that can't be told, My freedom I hold dear; How years ago in days of old When magic filled the air, T'was in the darkest depths of Mordor I met a girl so fair, But Gollum, and the evil one crept up And slipped away with her. Her, her....yea. Ain't nothing I can do, no.
  • this song is about the lord of the rings (the book)

  • Actually it's about hobits.. Don't ask why I fucking know that either

  • this band is one of the best bands that as EVER lived and i will NEVER EVER take that back

  • +9999 for that

  • 100% agreed

  • Fantstic i think ur phone mic was being SPL'D out of it lol

  • ramble on!

    totally awsome song!

  • Iommi did pretty well considering he was short by a couple of fingers. But Page is a much better guitarist musically.

BTW, this is one of the songs I used to learn Bass technique. I'd reccomend the same to anyone who's transferring from lead to bass.

  • i wish i´d take the fuck down out this shit

  • Ramble On! Sing My Song!!. . blah blah blah! Ramble ON! .....oh what a great song

  • dude jimmy thge god of rock iommi is god of metal

  • pffftt PAge is a waayyyy better guitarist... Iommi..IMO is the godfather of heavy metal guitars tho.

  • yeah ok.

  • Both are fantastic guitarists. Buyt when in their pomp, Page would crap all over Iommi.

  • Damn, I wish I would have been there..

  • moi aussi.

  • thats a sick as move plant does 1:12 to 1:14

  • Not much sense complaining about the quality of the sound and video, is it? Good performance for guys who are like 100 years old, though.

  • heh. pray you live that long, and hope for the best of all things if you do. ;)

  • lolz

  • WOW! PLANT HAS IT BACK! I had a friend who saw them (page plant) in the 90s and said live plant still rocked, and this proves it! Page is perfect as always, and jones is great, bohnam is filling his dad's shoes. Just perfect, can't wait for the real dvd to come out! PERFECT!

  • back in my highschool days(94-97) my friends all thought i was fukin nuts because i would jam zeppelin all the time.

  • this sent tingles up my spine just the thought of it such a joyous occasion HAIL LED ZEPPELIN!!!!

  • Maybe the reson they don't want to tour is because they don't want to ruin a good thing, like Van Halen.

  • Regardless of anything said in this forum about sub standard performance and members losing thier edge etc. the fact of the matter is THIS IS ZEPPELIN ( or as close as we will ever get again ) and i would pay to see them all hold hands on stage and take a dump, stop baggin out the greatest band on earth and appreciate the sheer brilliance of the band.

  • ooh i so agree w/ u!

  • Zep is the best thing to happen in our lifetime

  • That is what a good front man is supposed to be. He is supposed to demand your attention. Otherwise, a show gets boring.

  • yeah i guess your right.

  • And you sound like a prick

  • me encanta demasiado esta cancion!

q lastima q no agan un tour :(

  • I will be very pissed off if plant doesnt decide to do an american tour.Jones and jason bonham i bet will do it, but plant im not sure of.

  • Great job-esp. for their age & stange-hope they tour the USA after the Plant/Krauss tour is done...ramble on!!

  • johnny is the only one who hasn't lost his touch.

Makes sense, age really hasn't started to effect his playing ability and he still plays a lot. Sure, Plant plays a lot but age effects voice quickly. He was losing a lot of his range in the 80's even. Page's was always iffy live and his performance this night was subpar, i doubt he was playing much.

  • check out john paul jones on the bass.. luvit.. this songs amazing

  • I am really not impressed by this. Plant just kind of spoke the lyrics instead of singing them.. I realize that he is a genius, and he can do whatever he wants and what I think doesn't make a difference, but I just didn't like it. So you can go ahead and rate this comment down now :)

  • I hear ya

  • well the reason they're doin that is because plant just cant do wat he used to so doin this jazzy version was probably the best they could've done

  • can't wait for official videos to come out...

  • chills

  • Outstanding sound quality!

  • uhh not rly

  • Got time to spare now (days off work). pier23ca, your obsession with Jimmy Page is not healthy. To impress people, maybe put Sabicas, Tomatito , Oscar Alemán, Django Reinhardt, or...how about Narciso Yepes?, on your list. See, I REALLY DO LOVE them, and they don't play rock. I don't like Fripp, and he's a virtuoso. It's a matter of taste, see. Now, go, get a video of Tomatito, and you'll really see fingers move. Then, look up Atahualpa Yupanqui, and learn a bit more.

  • This is badass! JPJ is more than a bass player, he is a contributer and input to zeppelin's direction and sound. Plant may sound different from his younger years, but even singing tuned down, only Plant sounds like Plant! And Jimmy Page tuned down sounds badass! Better than the BS tuned down crap without any flavor that has been forced upon us. Savor the flavor of the one & only!

  • I watch this video "because"( not "cause" according to some purist)I really enjoy Led Zepp more than any other group, and I think I have to ask no one for permission to do so. I also learn about some very curious (strange) human behavior, for example, grown up people(it's not the same as "adult")who invest their time posting some comments apparently to make us "realize" about something most of us will not care a farthing, if I may say so. What can I say- strange!

  • What a beautiful, peaceful song. Great sound quality.

  • When Plant kicked the mic stand - incredible.

  • hey Psycho, released from the mental ward so soon?? Remember I am the pharmacist,TWIT. Now get medicated and be comfortabably numb, its a state you need to be in. Feel sorry for your wife and kid, really doubt they are real anyway. Delusions are part of your disease process.

  • coming up with ridiculos conspiracy theories is a hobby of mine too. i find it most interesting to present it to the people who would be most profound by the idea, just like you have here...but i have detected it, and i feel like your my long lost brother who makes up ridiculos conspiracy theories...and remember everybody THE GOVERNMENT IS USING FACEBOOK, MYSPACE, ETC... TO SPY ON YOU, THEY NOW KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT US LIKE THE BACK OF THEIR HAND > CONTROL

  • the guy who filmed this did best he could, zeppelin played to the level that put them above the rest, zeppelin are famous for hard rock but they play folk blues reggae even they never made the same album twice they are truly the masters of every genre, no other band ever did that .

  • When will you shut up?

Or when will you start talking sense?

Just let us all know so we can start actually giving a shit.

But i still doubt we will.

  • @pier23ca You moron...Davis wrote that book as a sensationalist account of Led Zeppelin and it's a lot of fiction to sell books so Davis could fund his own heroin addiction. Yes I always take the word of a heroin addict at face value without researching a little further. Look into a subject more before you start speaking about it.

  • Some comments try to be intelligent but really show the opposite; since when does music "expire"? It's great to listen to music form years past, the roots of rock go back to Africa. It's really a matter of feeling and enjoying. But if you can't, you can't. Zepp is definitely not for you then. However, there's lots of other stuff out there.

  • To whoever filmed this : buy a decent cell phone or camcorder.

Unless you already have one and wanted your footage to look artsy.

    Didn´t work, dude.

  • Imagine how it sounded front middle section of the mob as opposed to pc speakers and a phone recording device. multiply the wow factor by 100 to the 10th power. I saw them in Sydney on 27 Feb.1972 and they were great then and will always be so. Thanks guys from Ray in the Blue Mts.NSW Au.

  • Wow, the O2 comments sections are being trolled by some real weirdos! Pier23ca inparticular seems to have sat at his PC commenting on o2 videos for the past 2 weeks. I never really understand the mentality of trolls who get their kicks this way, don't you guys ever get pussy in your life?

  • LOL, save your trolling for someone else. As a female it aint impressing me much love ;)

  • I'm 14, and I wish that your death will come soon. They were and always will be the best.

  • the only weirdo around here is you, posting in a thread you clearly have no interest in, or understanding of. Now go fuck off!

  • Cause clash and bowie are better than Zeppelin? Dude, your perception is really skewed. What bands nowadays have stole from Led Zeppelin doesn't even compare to the influences Led Zeppelin based some of their work upon in the beginning.

  • "cause" ... the word you want is 'BECAUSE'.

"Cause" as you misuse it, labels a different concept.

It's the 21st Century. Learn how to use English.

  • Oh, you're a linguist now, pier23ca? Let's go head-to-head then, because this is my area of expertise. English evolves from the spoken form, not from the formal dialect. That's why you can write "didn't" today and nobody will tell you it has to be "did not". Likewise, in the future, "cause" may become acceptable as a replacement for "because", and all the little pier23ca's of the future will have no reason to question it.

  • Well said, ericjungleboy. In this way, these Zepp videos, kindly posted in this case by cirkusnisse, will not only be for us to enjoy, but will teach some little intellectual guys how much they ignore about Linguistics. And Pragmatics. And Respect. And..

  • Cirkusnisse: there's a part in El Quijote, the Spanish book written by Cervantes( the Spanish Shakespeare ) that says: "ladran Sancho, señal que cabalgamos" (the dogs are barking, it means we are riding). Thank you for sharing, and Merry Christmas(to all)!

  • you know nothing about music.

  • Look at this guy's profile. What a fucking weirdo.

  • pier whatever, fuck off. We don't need any more internet "savants" who think their little pitiful arguments actually mean shit. I'll tell you something: The Clash plagiarized the Ramones, Bowie was a STAGE ACT and if you don't like Zep, why the fuck are you HERE, pissing everyone off?! You're 44 years old for Christ's sake, do something with your sad life!

  • dude he was very busy bangin your mom so thats why he cant remember lol

  • Pier23ca must have nothing better to do than criticize a group he obviously dislikes, maybe that makes him feel "famous". I also agree with paquillo67's comments and that's enough, I guess. Led Zeppelin is way beyond you, but you always have The Bee Gees, pier.

  • My dad was an Immunologists and Professor at Buffalo State University at NY. My mom was a Pharmacist. Non-sequitur is Latin which I studied 7 years. I said The Bee Gees bescause of Wayne's World comment. You are very intelligent to watch over and over a video you dislike. I will not waste any more time on you.

  • Fuck the bullshit, you can hate on whatever you want, but Led is real as fuck, while your there typing on your computer arguing with a bunch of fucking lames on the internet, Led's getting payed for doing nothing, you are a piece of shit in the presence of greatness. So bow down till your knees hit your forehead you nerdlingtons.

  • In truth, the band was PAID ... wtf is "payed"? Is that an idiot's illiterate way of spelling paid?

  • Wow, I thought you were done with your first comment. They didn't plagiarise every song they play. Nor do they sound bad, people listen to them for the quality of the music, thats why even their covers made it big. This performance was a comeback after not playing live for decades, and Plant still sounds good for his age.

Get the fuck out of here, we're done with you being an asshole.

  • You amuse. Y

our nerdy rage defending your Idol Superzeros gives much laughter.

When do Jimmy Plagiarist and Fraudbert Plant order the megaliths?

  • nerdy rage? the most testosterone based band in the world and you think it's nerdy? I'll stick my fist down you throat with rock and roll playing in the background, you limp twat

  • You impress with your Youtube Board Virtual Muscles.

The World sees that you did not give your address and phone number to back up your toughy talk.

  • craig, stick to the clash and stop commenting on things you obviously do not understand. those of us that appreciate music whether or not it's socially relevant like the jams.keep listening to your butt-pirate crap! there really is no band as diverse musically and ahead of their time STILL than led zeppelin. cock the casbah faggot!!!!

  • and your address and phone number, name, social, birthdate???

    didnt think so

by the way how is barbieville?

  • You are so Youtube board gay. You get tough your faggy board muscles and yet you do not post your address or phone. You do not send them to me either.

You are what they call a 100% unadulterated COCK SUCKING HOMO. I bet just like your mom and dad.

  • cock sucking homo, eh? the intelligence just radiates from that insult, im very, very hurt...hopefully* i can recover.

once again, your address, phone number, social, email, birthdate...?

    DIDNT THINK SO !!!!

  • You posted first with your pumped up Youtube Board Muscles.

As I stated, "The World sees that you did not give your address and phone number to back up your toughy talk."

Anytime you want to email me through YouTube and give up your address and tel no., do.

  • Man,you are a disgrace to our generation..I really feel for you. Now,did you call that number ?? you know ,18oo-eat-SHit,its free!

Its cheaper than the 1900 numbers you call to get a hard-on off!!!paxil prozac lithium zyrexia seroquel wellbutrin abilify...I did tell you I am a Pharmacist, and I do know what I am talking about. take some, its good for you.

  • The World saw how done you were with your first comment.

How hard was it scratching together those two brain cells you inherited, one from mum, one from dad, to muster up your expression?

  • your pathetic

  • Eres más tonto que pedido por encargo. Jimmy Page guitar legend, Robert Plant the greatest, John Bonham drums legend, John Paul Jones one of the best musicians and ever rock star, and you??????????

  • Hello again asshole. Nerdy Rage? What the fuck are you talking about? Your 44 with a wife and kids, and your an person arguing with others on youtube? Who the fuck is the nerd here? Who the fuck is 44 here? No one I know in their 40s actively argue with others about their musical interests. Go lock yourself in a closet with a poster of Joe Strummer and masturbate for the rest of your life. You obviously don't understand this form of music.

  • The World sees your rage -- however how many sentences you choose to use to express your rage.

One day, if you want, you can let go and get healthy.

What? No mention of Fripp? Bowie? Hendrix? Zappa?

How amusing that you choose one guy to attack-- how dorkish.

  • This was a concert event that over shadows any other concert. Ive been to lots of shows. I would have given any thing to be their that night. Jimmys guitar seems out of tune a little on this song but the other songs Ive heard have rocked.Without a doubt the tightest live zeppelin show I have ever seen. And thats seeing and hearing it through phone cam recordings.I can't wait for the dvd. I suppose a new studio album would be asking a bit much. cmon guys you can do it. zep rocks

  • I'm cumming!

  • These guys should kept rambling on after 1977 -- going their separate ways.

In Through the Out Door blows and this performance reminds all of Old-Timers' Day at the Ballpark.

  • I think it's been well established that Led Zeppelin, while now obviously different from who they were in their prime, are still undeniably good. If they can put on a good show (which they have proven they still can) why should it matter if they're old or not?

  • As long as recording industry investors favor rehashing oldies into new plastique -- Mothership -- all of us, and especially young folk, lose out.

Many far-better musicians than LZ bandmates ever were never get record contracts since music buyers are left with little choice -- rehashed LZ or nothing.

On a sidenote, 58-to-63 y.o. men prancing around a stage like 20-dumbthings is dandy gay.

  • The whole "other musicians won't get record deals" has nothing to do with the quality of the Led Zeppelin show. And about the prancing, Robert Plant does very little in this performance actually; perhaps you're thinking of the Rolling Stones?

  • We record company investors of course do this just to piss you off. How are we doing so far, you self infatuated twit. I'm sure your an expert on gay, but could you explain dandy to us. Oh by the way the real talent gets the money not the whiners.......

  • Dandy (n) male who works in recording industry or invests in such.

  • I know the defination, what I should have said was; can you explain why we chose to spend money on a proven product, and possibly why this seems to offend you

  • When you live in the Past you are dead to the Now.

When olders force youngers to live in the past, olders steal the many futures of the youngers.

No man matures by living in the past. Men can become bigger in their selves only by living in the now and embracing the new.

  • Record labels like Zeppelin because they have and can make a shit ton of money because they are a good band. Zeppelin also has there own record label so you can't say Record companies dont sign other bands because Atlantic isnt the only one. Its not Zeppelins fault that other bands are good enough to make the cut.

  • damn... you were close

  • ramble on...a world tour !!! :)

  • damn i got goosebumps

  • They always love to experiment those guys.

  • Wow i wich i was there!

  • ooh the critics are in here tonight eh.

you 2 havent been to many concerts have you? 99% of live tracks have to be re arranged for the stage ??

get a grip please. led zep totally rock

  • It's the key and instumentation they're using to pull this song off live.

The main riff is played using an acoustic guitar, although Page plays it live using an electric guitar so he can play the heavier parts.

Plus Robert Plant doesnt have the higher range he had back in the day, so they've changed the key the song is in so it's easier for him to sing.

    But it still fucking rocks!!!

  • Hey "Nackovich" No need wasting you time trying to explain to the uneducated about what Led Zep is all about!! These uneducated seem to think everything they hear from a CD, ipod, etc should be duplicated exactly live. They never understand what the nucleus of Led Zep was in concert. They know not better and are forever behind the eight ball!!(if you know what I mean) We both know Zep have to change the key's to the songs so Plant can sing them and last the show without blowing his voice!!

  • Yeah, im with you there!

Some of the people on this site drive me up the wall sometimes.

  • how can it not sound right? they are the original i thik its up to them. And nobody sounds like they do on the album, especially 35 fucking years later

  • love it!!!!

  • i think the {poor} quality of this video is what makes it so effing awesome!!!

  • i think hes saying he doesnt like the recording

  • You would be correct chasee57. I wouldn't give this even two stars, nothing wrong with the song though. Still have it on the original vinyl.

  • All right so I'll rephrase it before he joined togther with John Paul Jones and then later on found Plant and Bonham. Better?

  • Is this song available for download somewhere else? I don't like this at all.

  • yeahhhh

    zeppelin rocks ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

    have dvd of this ??

  • I like the new groove Robert did on the vocal!

  • That bass line

  • You are correct in saying that page wasn't part of the who (that suck) but he did a lot of their studio recording for them!

  • Jimmy Page was NOT part of the Who! He was in the Yardbirds.

  • Well "actually" he wasn't part of the who.

When he was a session musicion thhough he did actually play on some who songs.like

    I can't explain

    Bald-Headed Woman
