I saw him when this Album first came out! What a Great show it was! He had a Cartoon of F clefs flying through the air, then they came together and formed a Giant Stanley Clarke! Awesome!!
"You ever been wit some friends that didn't dig you too tough ?"=" then you been to Cooley High" ==still remember that commercial for the movie. STILL remember this jam from when it first came out !
The opening instrumental is called "Strange weather" If memory serves me. And reprises at 3:25. Great album from a master musician. Thanks for sharing it.
can someone put the song "all about" on the tube, it's the best song on the album, and when they tranfered this to CD, the idiots forgot to add the song to the disc. They left off the best track of the disc.
Yea, it's only on LP format. I had it on my computer in the days of napster. Someone must have used roxio to put it on computer format. I got to get the LP and put it in my collection again.
@tonwil06 hi tonwil I am Nina from Moscow and first time listen Stenley Clarke. He is soo beautifule, please what hapend with him now, he OK?!I love this musik and love to get high too :*

Allen, sho nuf'... Jefferson, Manual Arts, Locke, Dorsey, Morningside, Uni, L.A, Hollywood, Garey, Hawthorne...wherever you attended: every cat in band back in the day either had the 4 sided album, cassette or 8 track in their collection. I sure did!
Riding the RTD to elementary school and sitting in the rear of the bus with all the older cats from Dorsey High; someone cranked this out on their portable 8-track player and man, for those 5 or 6 minutes everybody caught the vibe and that whole bus rocked all the way down Santa Barbara Blvd. This brings back some serious memories growing up in L.A. Thanks for posting - ya' cool man, real cool
