1986 dancing to this song at Brandy's in Montebello. 1988 bumping this song in my Karmann Ghia on Whittier blvd. 1991, 93, and 96 listened to this song while working out trying to get back into shape after giving birth. Present day daughter bumping this song in her ride. Gotta love it!!!!

"Freestyle" from L.A. is usually classified as Hi NRG. I guess you can call it L.A> Freestyle if you want, but the sound is more Hi NRG than Freestyle.

Also, to a lot of posters here, don't worry about jamming to this in your 40's, I was at a packed nightclub in Miami a few days ago - average age was 50. We danced all night like we were 21 again to sweet 80's tunes. Across the street was another club playing salsa and 70's disco, and I saw people there as old as my parents, rocking away.

Otro hitazo en serio, esta no tiene madre es uno de los pilares del HNRG definitivamente es Stop por el estilo y ritmo, y Dana Laguna la vocalista excelente. Recuerdos de los 80 -todos ellos eran como un misterio para mi, ahora gracias a Uds. he encontrado a casi todos-.

Pebo, Martin and Bijan (Damabi) stole the song from a promo at JDC Records. After stealing this one, they couldn't follow up with any other single. Pebo used to DJ at two of the Fantasias, very good actor that Pebo. He laughed in Jonny Chingas face and poked fun at "Samba" back in 1988. My best to LAgirl4life and sister.
