Exactly why I went through ME2 on Insanity as an Infiltrator. I had a Widow though :). I had a real hard problem getting past the part when you're ambushed on the collector ship though XD.

anyone tried a Sniper Rifle + Flashbang Vanguard? I fixed the C.ini for the vanguard's loadout, so placed Sniper-Rifle instead of SMG ( no more fast-shooting weapon ) and selected imp. Flashbang Grenade ( from the Kasumi-DLC ) as extra-power. So, Snipe one enemy, throw area flashbang, charge with area charge and snipe/shotgun them down - its a great fun with the "no squad member" ini fix. Thanx alot, cruz1ale ;)

With the Scions, the head isn't the weak spot. It's that giant sac. Plus, there is a major weak point on the back of the scion, it's like a little hose adaptor thing. Cloak and go around it to do some serious damage. Usually can kill a scion in two or three shots that way.

@jonathansonn the problem i always have with shottie infiltrator is infiltrate disables shield regen... so youre really squishy still xD and outside of that initial burst, infiltrators dont have the close quarter skills that a vangaurd brings to a fight. I've seen it work, but i personally like sniper/pistol infiltrator best.

@Jdog5785 cryo ammo can freeze targets leaving them vulnerable, if u use the M-6 Carnifex Hand Cannon, the M-5 Phalanx, or the non-automatic shotguns as long as the hit damages the enemy's health, there's a 100% chance of freezing them, it also kills husks, so yeah its very useful

Played infiltrator as well, finished on Insanity. Cool char, but if you are beginner to the game I recommend to play a Soldier. I replayed the game again as one and it was a darn walk in the park.

You know, I'm probably the only person I know who loved the assault rifle as an infiltrator. Especially since the Mattok came out, as it's basically a fast fire long range shotgun.

I know I'm weird, but I just always felt that an assault rifle and sniper rifle was just a great combo while invisible. You have a good attack from whatever range you're at.

Shotgun is easier to put them down especially on missions like IFF and last mission where there are points they swarm you and you can't get away. Pull out your scimitar and spray em. I went for the widow however since i found that the instakills on some enemies were more helpful in some cases (i.e avoiding a harbinger control by killing the drones fast or w/e)

SMG is completely worthless against armor, except for the Locust which is alright thanks to its 1.25 multiplier and higher accuracy. It pays off to change weapons even when u dont have much time. The number one use of heavy pistols is obviously anti-armor; go for close range headshots for maximum damage. For classes like infiltrator and soldier who get other weapons that are effective against armor, heavy pistols could be more useful with cryo ammo.

Yeah, I used warp ammo just for the barriers. AP ammo wouldn't have any advantage over no ammo when sniping opponents with barrier, because the bonus against health applies only to shots that hit when the opponent has already lost all his protection.

Concerning your point allocation, I would have dropped 1 level from disruptor and 1 from AI Hacking (3 points), + your 1 floating point to get Cloak up to 4. Massive damage boost from assassin cloak then. (+35%)

Of course, they don't let you retrain until after this mission anyway >:(

I just feel like you should know that husks weak point is the legs. Headshots on them are pretty much the same as any body shot except the legs.
