Wow! Blast from the past! I forgot all about Lemuria! Thank you for the uploads!
@themightyzeta: who are you telling to "change your name?" Must not be this group cuz they existed in the '70s BEFORE the current rock group of the same name.
What's interesting is that this version of "Hunk Of Heaven" is slightly different from the LP version; I can hear some vocal and horn overdubs. Is this a single mix or something?
This is a great group, how can you NOT feel the passion and energy? Wasn't Kirk Thompson (original Kalapana member) a producer on this album? I could be wrong but I thought he moved onto or created Lemuria when he left Kalapana? BTW.......Kirk rocked the keyboards back then!!
I Love this! Actually there were 4 ladies, Star Williams, Azure McCall, Mary Lake and Stacie Johnson. They rocked the island. The whole album is great. It's still selling.
I saw these guys when I was stationed in Hawaii, sometime in 1979 I think? It was a free performance for the Navy, and they were incredible! I've been looking to hear this song again for over 20 years. Thanks so much!
I wish I knew more about this group, they're fantastic. Can't get much more information aside from reading the comments, though.

Change your name. There's already a Lemuria.

well, this is an obscure soul group from the 1970s that I doubt very much still exists so i think its rather unnecessary.
