9 outta 10 of mikes opponents were paralysed with fear before the 1st bell rang, simple as that,i wonder how this prime tyson would be like against these giant klitchkos?i cant see any tyson losing to chris byrd or corrie sanders!
@jimpurdie Most of Tysons' opponents were 4-6 inches taller and 10-30 lbs heavier than him. Boxers CHOOSE their profession...if some where afraid of this "little man" they had good reason to be. Tyson was knockong out full fledge heavyweights when he was still a teenager!
i didn't notice before watching tyson's fights through the years, that tyson holds, grabbs and wrestles with his opponents in almost every round of his fights, he didn't throw many punches like holyfield did.
actuall y he could still use the technique of the bob and weave but the last person that honed the craft was kevin rooney and once he left him he became a headhunter
I agree with Chronic... just like the Jesse Feguson fight. You just can't hold Tyson... ya' can't! I just love how Tyson punches Biggs off him in this fight! Just like "Get off me bitch, my champain in my limo is gettin' warm & I got chicks ta' fuck!!" Love this...Thanx man!!
He was discombobulated by tysons awkawrd head bobbing style. That's what happenned when fighters tried to create a game plan, they kept missing and it allowed tyson to attack and break their spirits which he couldn't do anymore after 1995.
who remembers BABY JESSICA??, well she's the little baby who was trapped in a well years ago, it was actually the same night of the TYSON vs BIGGS fight. i remember because those were the 2 top news stories of that night. look it up so u can see for yourself.
I agree, his small frame utilizing the damato technique with faster and stronger hands then any heavyweight in history, then you have an unbeatable combination of traits.
why would the fight be schedueled for 15 rounds. did they stop doing that after the fight with ray boom boom mancinni and duk koo kim . I dont beleive that this fight is a 15 rounder.
The thing is storm61, hbo commentators at the time were indiredtly supporting tyson and overating his abilities because he was the most dominant figure at the time, thats why they're acting like this. So when Buster Douglas pounded on him for 10 rounds, they were just too stunned.
i just can not believe this. biggs tied up tyson every time and sometimes just locked him up and commentators did say nothing about this. i think they always wanted him to lose. i cant understand man. why?>
Believe it or not, tying up a man and holding onto a man for dear life are too totally different things with holding onto your life being a frowned upon aspect of what Biggs was doing. Nobody likes a cowrd. Tying up a man is what you do to avoid being pounded on when you can't do anything. Holding onto a man for your life was Biggs way of saying "I don't wanna fight anymore" and his spirit was broken.

a good trainer such as freddie roach could have made biggs into a champion, he had all the tools but not the know how.

many fighters like to get a bit of an edge and it more of a short punch anyway. but tyson had it in the bag thw whole fight practically

This is my favourite Tyson fight.
Everybody talks about Spinks fight was Tysons best performance but people forget this one.
Look at the jab, headmovement, combinations... oh my god

Biggs is trying to win a fight by doing absolutely no fighting. This dude is flickering his Jab and trying to avoid as much Boxing as possible.

larry merchant has alway been against tyson
tyson is such a small heavyweight, when tyson was not in shape or past his prime.
then all you have is a 5ft10 guy
tyson at his best was special
with the best ever speed and power

Merchant used to love Tyson.

Biggs looked great in round 1. Once he stopped popping his jab, and using his legs, he started taking a slow beat down.
