Only thing I don't like about it is that the car is an auto. I'm sure it still gets a lot of get up and go, but I think a manual would be a better option.
I just recently bought a New 2012 Mustang Premium V6.. (Personally), I'm a Single Guy on the Dating seen. Seeing different ladies often. And I've formed the conclusion, that almost every Lady that I've taken out, Loves the Mustang look and sound. (and you know what), they can really careless that its a V6 or V8 !........ (Not to say that I always get Lucky), Hidden agenda/money hungry Broads, get kicked to the curb !
The V6 mustang is far more bang for the buck than any civic si. Its over a second faster to 60, it gets better mpgs, it can handle better(.96G), sounds better, oh and.....it can drift! Did I mention its about the same price?
Just drove a rental '11 'stang from Hertz and it's a mixed bag. Off the line, not so quick and the engine bogged for some reason. Handling is nice, turning radius is insanely small. The car must have had the 2.73 axle, as the motor was only turning at 2k at 82mph! Got about 30 mpg on the freeway driving in CT, less when I got on it. On the highway, there is lots of pickup with the revs up and the 6-speed auto giving those revs up nicely. Interior is 100x better than the Camaro I tried first.
@dammit525 the s2000 is WWAAAAAYYYY overpriced... The k20 engine is overrated if you ask me. the s2000 back in 08' started at 32k thats ridiculous... Thats mustang gt premium range!
@1971BGT dont get me wrong,I luv mustantgs but I dont think the s2k is overrated, it is in fact a very good engine, there are very few 2.0L I4 engines that is reliable, efficient, able to redline at 9000rpm and produce 240 hp (thats 120 hp per lite,which is quite a feat.) .The car seem expensive at the time, but you get a lot of car for your money. It can handle very well due to its perfect 50-50 weight distribution, light weight and x bone chassis. mustang gt=road car, s2000= pure driver's car.

It wasnt until 2011 that Mustang pulled an edge on Camaro. But I also suggest you look at the 2012 Camaro and see whats on the plate.... @julingy dude. you have zero facts. yeah, 412(v8) is only ten more the 305. NOT. And, this 5.0 is a completely different design. the old 5.0 used OHV, and on earlier years, carburation. This 5.0 uses OHC, VCT, mutliport fuel injection, and is nothing similar to the 90's model engines.

26mpg for the 5.0 is indeed pretty awesome! Reminds me of the C5 ZO6...it surprised me with an epa rating of 28mpg highway. I'm glad the V8 is not being phased out :-) (even though these V6's are quick too)
I do not understand, carcajouxx. This is not your fathers V6 stang. 305 HP (rated as high as 308 from some reviews) 0-60 in 5.1 (Same time as the 2010 Challenger SRT8) does not sound "flat" to me. The 2011 Mustang is the best combination Detroit has ever put out of power, performance and fuel economy in a V6.

it is not a Ecoboost , or fords fancy way of saying turbo. It is a direct Injection V6 quad cam. You can turbo the motors same as the Camaro and make sick hp.With the direct injection it is so easy , you just strap a turbo on it,7psi or 1/2 bar later 450hp plus you are more nimble in a turn 200lbs lighter. for less than the Gt. Direct injection is best of the fuel consumption tech , and is fairly limitless. Expect the Camrao to have close to 350 soon as well as the cadi.P.S SUPER MOD FRIENDLY

@julingy dude. you have zero facts. yeah, 412(v8) is only ten more the 305. NOT. And, this 5.0 is a completely different design. the old 5.0 used OHV, and on earlier years, carburation. This 5.0 uses OHC, VCT, mutliport fuel injection, and is nothing similar to the 90's model engines.

The 2010's were decent. nothing special. But yeah, ford makes a decent product dodge used to, but other than that chevy, gm & all of their companies would for sure be toast. I think ford and dodge could of made it. but, I would much rather have a 90's 7.3 powerstroke ford diesel than a 03+6.0 or 6.4. so, innovation isnt always the best

26mpg for the 5.0 is indeed pretty awesome! Reminds me of the C5 ZO6...it surprised me with an epa rating of 28mpg highway. I'm glad the V8 is not being phased out :-) (even though these V6's are quick too)

I do not understand, carcajouxx. This is not your fathers V6 stang. 305 HP (rated as high as 308 from some reviews) 0-60 in 5.1 (Same time as the 2010 Challenger SRT8) does not sound "flat" to me. The 2011 Mustang is the best combination Detroit has ever put out of power, performance and fuel economy in a V6.

pretty much the only option beside the Sebring. I remted a V6 mustang last year, and was not at all impressed. The new one is obviously much faster, but still not very impressive a car beyond that.

Not everything is a competition, maybe in your fantasy world, but in the real world a V8 is just a gas guzzler. Personally, as a college student, I really don't like having a V8. I wished I would have kept my V6. Great gas mileage and cheap insurance, which is why they have the V6...duh

it is not a Ecoboost , or fords fancy way of saying turbo. It is a direct Injection V6 quad cam. You can turbo the motors same as the Camaro and make sick hp.With the direct injection it is so easy , you just strap a turbo on it,7psi or 1/2 bar later 450hp plus you are more nimble in a turn 200lbs lighter. for less than the Gt. Direct injection is best of the fuel consumption tech , and is fairly limitless. Expect the Camrao to have close to 350 soon as well as the cadi.P.S SUPER MOD FRIENDLY
