i wonder how much they would charge to play the entire first cd for a private party. not really a fan of new stuff. silent circus was ok, alaska was crap, colors was a masterpiece and i quit listening after that
mathcorey some people are more physical with showing elation during a song, like how people dance. this is just energetic, brutal music and brutal dancing is justified.
i love how tommy smacks the shit out of those high notes live nowadays after screaming for over an hour. unbelievable.
He did, actually, and it just so happens that Will Goodyear was a better singer than Tommy up until around Colors, which he actually began using in-ear monitors and learned how to control things.
I swear, those niggers don't deserve to live. There is no way music can make you want to burst out of control. HxC dancing is stupid. When you HxC dance or mosh, you have to focus on that, therefore, not being able to focus on the music. If you can't focus on the music, what is making you go out of control? Oh, right, nothing. You're just an idiot.
Haha u raciest pig mother fucker! If u could read music you would know that BTBAM is supreme and almost uncoverable! And your the one who's fuckin retarded and cant multi- task! So who's the fucking moron?.... You are!
Take a step back, you cotton picking, cactus swinging nigger. Their music is impossible to cover? Nah. Who is the fucking moron you ask? You are. Come again, please. I'll gladly mentally break you.
You probably just suck at playing any instrument, their music is not uncoverable, actually i bet if you typed that selkies into the search bar you'd find plenty of covers, fucking moron.
thumbs up for you! ya i really don't like the idea of people being constrained to just different types of hardcore dancing and two stepping and shit. you ever seen a converge show? there's no dancing involved and it's probably the craziest show i've ever been to. same with the dillinger escape plan. there's no dancing. people just atomatically go nuts! the only thing i like about hxc dancing is that is just shows a little movement at least. like i don't mind when people do it for a smaller band
I would just like to state that anyone who hardcore dances in this video is not gay, homosexual, a loser, or a fag. They just feel differently about the music than you do, they perceive and appreciate it differently. If you can't get over that you should probably just fall off the earth because no one else feels exactly the same way you feel.
And for the record, I would rather sit in front of Paul Waggoner's balls when i see them but their music still makes me want to dance and hurt people
yeah, I understand that people connect with music differently and express themselves differently...but some things are stupid and annoying no matter what reasons a person may have for doing them, and hardcore moshing/dancing is one of those things.
My point exactly, I never said people shouldn't do it, if a person wants to then fine. But that doesn't change the fact that it is stupid and annoying.
back when they were good... These old songs feel more alive to me than any of the songs created post silent cicus... The new stuff is so technically over-saturated it just has no heart... Every song off the self-titled had some true power in it I think.
This song is from their first album which was Self Titled. It is heavier than their other albums. And it is usually ranked 2nd in people's favorite BTBAM albums.
I've been a fan of this band since I first heard this song like 6 years ago. I think this is easily their worst album, and I don't think it is heavier than The Silent Circus.
Metalcore has been trendy since the 90s. I don't know if you were aware of that, maybe you were too young or just didn't bother with the music scene outside of what's played/advertised on the major radio stations, TV.
Just because the pioneers of metalcore were getting it going in the '90s doesn't mean that the genre became trendy at that moment. The trendy genre of the moment was Nu Metal. If you look at metalcore shows back then compared to now, there were less people there, and less people hardcore dancing because it wasn't a FAD yet, it was something that the people who truly enjoyed it did, instead of something people do now to seem tough.
I guess you weren't one for going to local shows/house shows. Around the D.C./Richmond area over here, metalcore was the cool thing to like. Metalcore was the trendy "cool" thing to like back in all of the 90s when you were into the music scene. Of course it steadily went down the drain as the underground music scene began to grow (outside of the media advertising world). Just like now thrash is the cool ting to like.
It was trendy in the underground scene. And by underground scene I don't mean some exclusive secret thing, I'm talking local shows, which make the real music scene. Not that overly marketed crap you only hear about on MTV.
my friend.. when youtube wasnt a big hit.. i used to search on many things... got nothing.. now recently u can find ANYTHING on you tube.. even underground grind.. which im really into.. lol besides does it bother u that u just got into the metal scene?? i mean other people were listening to this kind of shit for a while..

@dantheman10792 Do you not understand that people actually enjoy themselves at concerts?
But maybe if you went to smaller venues you would understand. Jesus, when I play shows I love it when people freak out, if my music makes people do that then it makes me happy.
Much better than the new shit.

@garrettgleason Too bad it was Will Goodyear, the drummer... who is far more talented than BTBAM's current, predictable drummer...
