I didn't even know about her adultery. I just heard this song on the radio for the first time... This song bothers my spirit. God wants to be exalted.NOTHING we can offer him is better than the highest praise which is HALLELUJAH. He certainly doesn't hear our suffering as a sweet song. I pray that God will allow us to ask for and embrace wisdom, so we are not deceived. Also, don't condemn Amy Grant for her mistakes. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. WATCH and PRAY!

@vjstone1 It's not our suffering He enjoys, its the cry of a broken heart calling out to Him and asking Him to take control and lead/guide. His children suffer through the trials of this world too. We are not immune. It's through our suffering that we grow... and we are stronger for it when we stay close to our Father and allow Him to mold/shape us for His will. Our faith is not to help us avoid problems (which we all have), but to go through problems with stability.

It is not helpful to put down, hate or condemn those who do not read the Bible or truly know Christ. It is good to tell them the truth, but not to insult them. We should love and pray for the world, that it might be saved...show the world the grace we were all shown as we are all sinners. Christ loved and forgave the adulteress, He told her to go and sin no more. To know the truth and live the Bible is a blessing and gift, we cannot take pride in the good we do, all glory to God.

We show him that when we REALLY need him we know we can call out to him, even if we don't speak outloud, but think it, he hears us....so yes, when we make a mess, when we sin, when we have doubts/fears, troubles...and we call out to HIM, it means more than just saying Amen, or hallelujah! Its our hearts going out to him 100%!

I think what Amy is saying is: anyone who's ever done something they regret - likely all of us - can cry out to the Lord, and He will listen to us as we pour out our souls. She is not trying to change scripture, just call us to remember that we are not all lost. And who are all of you to judge her? We are all guilty of something, therefore we don't judge one another. Amy's music changes my life for good daily. Without Amy Grant in this world, I would be so much farther from heaven than I am.

Article #1 of our beliefs is "We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost." ....kinda sounds like we believe in God.

Dear Amy, the word "halleluja" means "God is to be paised"! How often the bible tells us to praise God, altough we do not feel like praising god now...still we shall do it. That's a command, wich is to help one...even David said, praise the lord oh my soul, when he was sitting in the middle of a battle. So in most cases a "halleluja" IS better than just something our soul wants to do, say, etc. You don't think so? But that is biblical! (well, a least as far as i understood the bible...)
