  • Shoto kan brown belt, I gotta say very effective but they should a video on the kicks very powerful.

  • shoto kan ftw!

  • The math doesn't even make sense. I see physics notation, but I see nothing relevant to this. Lol, it does add a fancy element though.

  • in karate we called it "jab"

  • Or in other words : normal punch.

  • @Rauser142 Not at all.Im'training shotokan karate do 1 and a half year now.Well, what i can tell is that the most time expirience you have the most effective it is.Get real.Karate doesn't give you just the technic. It gives you the speed and power you need to aplicate it.

  • Why when I punch with my first two knuckles my whrist feels like its about to break, and hurts afterwards

  • @bigcartoonyIIV its basically 1000 pound or near punch so after 2 times it will hurt because ur guiding the force from the feet to and through the fist into the body, thats why they dont stuff the fist into the body, because it will absorb some force back; so that movement is whats hurting you

  • this is how sherlock holmes fights

  • Also known as the "Okinawan Abortion".

  • Lmao i goy into a fight i did tht to his face and i broke his nose lmao

  • @amazingfighter3 Nooo you don't wana hit that hard skull, if you wana break his nose use your palm.

  • lol the formulas have nothing to do with whats going on

  • this help me kick ass

  • Wearing hand protection and with practice could break through thin walls

  • I google translate the karate move

  • try to use this punch on somebodys face instead of the body, WHILE hes attacking you (so your stopping him with the punch) he''ll feel it

  • jklsvhdfbvbdvbdkfgdf

I've been using that technique without knowing it?! O-O But I use a little trick while using this technique... heheh.

  • please stop believing in this shit tv show :). They exagerate all the stuff they say beyond anything real

  • @shatterhandeve They do exaggerate, no doubt, but this is by far the most effective way of punching somebody.

I was dicking around with out of my friends, punched him in the ribs like this and knocked him out. He's had boxing training and we usually spar a couple times a week, etc.

    tl;dr: It does work.

  • Why you focus on the first two knuckels is that the other to is kinda disconnected from the arm and and makes energy stay in the knockles , Id punched a wall with "full" hand and my therd knockle still after 5month I can feel a slightly nerve injurt is still there if i push over it..

  • note to self: don't try these with a wall

  • Gyaku Zuki Chudan

  • Key to awesome youtube video:

Step 1) Get two silver surfers fighting

Step 2) Add guy with badass voice explaining movements

Step 3) Add crazy maths that no one will ever bother looking at because it's way too complicated.

  • @cheefslaya Lmao XD

  • What if i'm punching a fat guy?

  • @snorlax140 It still hurts like hell. Belly fat doesn't grow as much the ribs and bread basket...

  • @63legendary Oh okay, cuz there's this fat bully I wanna do that too. I mean I know tae kwon do and a little wing chun but I want to hit him where it hurts to teach him to stop harrassing me.

  • @snorlax140 uppercut him just enough to make his head go back and expose his throat and then quickly karate chop his throat, simple as that :)

  • @Searyu Thanks so much dude!

  • m is mass and v is final velocity. V2 is v x v. Hope that helps

  • when's the next your opponent is going to be standing in front of you like that?

  • @tacospartan They're not. It's just an animated demonstration. That doesn't mean a punch to the body won't work in a real fight.

  • I like how fast Grey Man gets after the explanations, like "yeah, ive been doin this shit for years. Next video?" lol

  • I think a bowling ball droped from a house may cause more than just a soft tissue damage.

  • Isnt that called Gyaku zuki ?

  • nice vids

  • what does the "m, sh. and 1/2 (M2)(V2 squared)" stand for?

  • i got scared when i heared the sentence ''...bowling ball falling from the top of a building''

  • Jin kazama

  • A punch in the stomach can be very devastating but I'd personally rather hold the hand in a 45° angle and try hitting with the whole fist especially the little-, ring- and middlefingerknuckles because many karate schools started teaching to hit with the the middle- and triggerfingerknuckles in a horizontal way. This is not as solid as a vertical or 45° punch with the lower three knuckles. It's the old forceline and was forgotten over the time.

  • @GerJohnny93 i agree with you 100% i hate hearing about hitting with the first 2 knuckles is the right way. it isnt, not only is it silly to try all the time it also leaves ones wrist out of line and ready to break. hitting with the first to knuckles is one of those out-dated fighting tips i never picked up when hitting the pads or in the ring.

  • this is gyaku zuke

  • @tevisboe234

Haha, I thought you were trying to be serious at first.

  • Human Weapon- Female

They make you go shopping and with thier very attractive eyes and body they can make you do almost anything! almost as powerfull as god

see how they make everything seem so powerfull?

  • @abongnelah ll nvm about the feet

  • wow thisis from my karate style, i never knew that it could deliver such force

  • @theclash181 Kyokushin Karate ? That style is for bodies made of rocks xD

  • @shengxlong hell yeah. Sonny Chiba

  • why do these math signs never show up when i fight :/

  • @T4C0C4T Because you're not Sherlock Holmes!

  • @dserenity69

my contact did that you should meet him but i last seen him being chased by shield so..

  • Karate punches are sweet! When dealing with bullies, I just turn green, my shirt and pants rip a bit and then I go on a rampage. I usually wake up some where without any recollection of what happened. Does this happen to anyone else?

  • Paul One Hit Strike?

Damn, I Want To Play My Tekken 1 Again.

  • @Raimundox94 To be fair, he has it in every Tekken.

  • @Cheesycola

I had an experience like that but anger fueled it and my enemy tasted pain and blood and my sanda moves.also i have a few combos like flying knee with spinning back kick try it and reply to meh

  • y-y arnt they weaing underwear

  • what say of create a human weapon

  • i liek how the gray guy technique is wrong he's letting his elbow come out 2 the side

  • in other words.....FALCON PUNCHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jamieforget Thatsa nice style i practice kyokushinkai,which belt do u have?

  • If you want to make it better , before you do it say the name of the skills and feel it . Try punch someone near you xD

  • does the darker gray guy even has a manager? he's taking all the shit, and not having but a moment to recover from it...I kinda fell bad for him

  • Fail karate model stance

  • Thumb up if yu wish this was a game to play and hit people

  • nandansho, you are indeed correct.... With the current MMA craze and the fast roads to learning, It is in Stark contrast to lives, 36 years for me.. for what we have learned in our "DoJo's".. I will observe the Dojo Kun and thank you Sir for the reminder..

  • Xiphoid process is the main target, cricoid strike { throat }would be a close second

  • Wow... not a bad demo, but incorrect in a couple of ways, first the name is Gyaku Zuki... second in execution: the elbow should never be out from the body as in the slow motion model . it should brush against your own rib cage as it's thrown.. most important however is it must be in perfect center... these points add to the straightest line and max punch power out put..

  • @stonedstew My friend you know exactly what you're talking about,,but remember these secrets are to be taught to Students who have honour and morals. The Dojo Kun should always be observed.

  • @resliph I think he's stating he knocked the guy out of the fight. Roy Jones Jr and "Irish" MickY Ward had Body Punches that TKO'd guys. Now a blow to the Solar Plexus cAn cause the diaphram to convulse and disrupt breathing causing aN oxygen deficit which combined with panic can actually kill you, but it can also cause a loss of consciousnes from shock under certain circumstances.

  • When i was a kid my dad forced me to do karate, said It might be useful later. Hated him at the moment. Starts to repeat stupid endless moves for long years... Get older, go to highschool. One day a random angry guy wants to fight me. I had never been in a fight in MY LIFE. Shit pants. Bastard kicks me in my stomach. Damn it hurts ! Then something "awakes" in my body, i couldnt describe it...

Close my fist, gives him perfect karate body punch ; guy is projected then fall on the ground. KO

  • @Cheesycola

Dad was a little wiser than you thought ! ! !

    Paulie D'The Punch Professor

  • @Cheesycola Cool story bro.

  • @Cheesycola the same hapenned to me, but i did judo and i did a key throwing him above me only taking advantage of his speed(he was running towards me). now we are best friends xDD

  • In karate are you suppose to pull your hand away as soon as you punch,as demonstrated in this video?

    if so why?

  • @Kingpee03 ??? i didn't say anything about punch? lol what do you mean? mm yes u have to pull your hand always, if u left it straight the other can take it and broke it or something, and u pull it to "reload" and stay ready for another punch..i dont know why u said that xD

  • @Kingpee03 Yes. This is done in every martial art that uses punches, including boxing. You don't want to leave your arm out there, or else you'll leave yourself open.

  • @Cheesycola Im afraid i must agree that kata isnt really useful, it helps perfect technique and that is all. Really you should be sparring and learning some combos so that in such a situation you could easily use his kick to throw him to the ground. It really is about reacting on the moment. But nice punch :P

  • @Cheesycola When I was about 14 - my granpa send me to boxing, siad it might be useful later. Went to highschool, met a "cool" dude who did karate long time - he was bitching me arround - I agreed for a fight.

15 seconds later I had a broken wrist and he lied on the ground with a fucked up nose and bold bloody eyes.

Point of story: Dont do karate - it may be useful, but it never be that useful as Boxing!

  • @RomaN48000hz Because you met a dumbass who did karate in a bad dojo and he had a sensei that learned him nothing doesnt mean that boxing is better than karate...go say that to lyoto machida .... its all about the artist not the art...

  • @RomaN48000hz I had the same thing happen to me, it's just that it was the other way around. Me, a Karateka, vs a cocky Boxer. Broke his right arm, left leg, and nose in 20 seconds.

Moral of the story: Never blame the style. Only blame the practitioner. He also shamed his school by being the bully.

  • @Cheesycola I was forced to do karate, boxing and gym since 16. Good job i did because i got attacked outside my house a few years ago by a group of 3 lads with knives. Like you said "shit pants" moment. I got the tallest guy with sweet right hook, throw one guy head first into car door and the other guy run off home to mommy.

Cheers mom and dad, you saved me from being stabbed. Or worse.

And my daughter will be going soon too.

  • @Cheesycola All that shit happens in Highschool xD In my case I was ready, but I was against 3 guys, all of them ending up on the floor, not even 1 strike dealt, not trying to hurt somebody, just throws and deflections, they got really humilliated xD but then it was 9 vs 1 with knives and sticks, and just like Confuncius says "Too many weapons, run like a hare!" xD

  • @Cheesycola

    ADRENALINE!!!!

  • @Cheesycola good, your such a karate man karate is for self defense...

  • @Cheesycola Yes! Thats happen to you and Daniel San...Do you know?

  • @Cheesycola I made the same and after that you feel great!

  • @Cheesycola cool story bro, they should make a movie out of your life....hahaha

  • @Cheesycola so true. 7 years of karate and i was never fighting anywhere.

  • @Cheesycola how old were you when you started in karate?

  • i watch tis is because i wanna hit my enemies

  • @jamieforget my style is shotocan :) what belt do u have i have blue belt but i aim third at belgium championschip kumite and im 15 years old ;)

  • Easy and effective.

  • wow my professor always tell use about the reverse punch i never doubted him at all ive been hit with one of these hurts very much. im going to practice my reverse punch more

  • @UniversalTopicVids The Reverse Punch takes approx 2yrs to understand and deliver the mechanics properly. But if done properly it is devastating ,I've knocked people completely off their feet, broken ribs, and even fractured a kneecap with the reverse Punch. The History of this tecnique was to penetrate japanese body armor to kill a Samurai. A Karateka can break boards smash bottles break tiles with his hands. Now imagin that same force directed at a jawbone.

  • @nandansho thank you for the info i did not know much about it also any good reverse punch training tips you might have?

  • @UniversalTopicVids Yes but please message me, as you Know Karate is a mystery, and sharing precise technique can only be done with Karate Ka.

  • They're actually underestimating the force that a well trained karate fighter could generate with a simple reverse punch. It's the simplest and most straight-forward killing technique in all of martial arts in my opinion, and if a master connects with it, it's lights out for anyone in it's way.

  • No it's not.. When done correctly this punch creates more velocity than a normal punch..

  • This is exactly like a normal punch...

  • if a bowling ball was dropped from on top of a house it would do more than break a rib...

  • @1120george1120 yeah if it's dropped on the head, sure

  • @The0riginalGangsta it will rip a hole through a chest...

  • Its not just the rotation guys, gotta use the hips!

  • @Arbiter1231

I'll use my hips on your mom

  • @ballsoffury4 gl champ

  • @Arbiter1231

    Thanks

  • Makes sense

  • jin's evil intent's last punch is this.

  • @kmj0831 its kazuya

  • @ohhdayyum nah... its jin:P XD

  • @kmj0831 jin's fighting style was actually kyokushin karate. : )

  • @kmj0831 thank god im not the only one who likes tekken

  • @kmj0831 No I think it's Jin's d/f 1+2 lol

  • @jamieforget find atleast one video on youtube, where karateka would use more hips and shoulder for punching then boxer. Find video and post link. You wont gonna find video. Wanna know why? Because boxers DO NOT PUNCH LIKE KARATEKA and karateka DO NOT punch like boxer. Karate and boxing are 2 different things. They punch differentlly. And the difference is in hips and shoulder. Omg I am sick of noob people <_<

  • @ThePadus You are a master of GUM FU! All your talk and calculations mean nothing unless you field test. I am a Blackbelt in Shuriryu and have trained with Many Masters and fought Many styles. You say the Boxer has more power in his punch. Well Karate is about timing breath Gravity Body hardness and Ki energy. The Boxer will throw all his weight into a punch, which can make him unable to retract from a counter. KarateKa use the attackers forward motion to double the impact.I've destroyed Boxers.

  • @nandansho im not saying that boxers are better in anything but it all depends who you fight if they are amateurs well probably your right but if you fight someone that has actually trained they train in lots of speed and they can throw a full body weight punch or just a quick jab that are pretty fast and they also have foot work you move forward we side step in start punching your head or body i know it isn't as easy as it sounds but yeah boxers are fast our best defense is our offense, speed

  • @killerofmygeneration Let me explain, In 1944 an American Middleweight Boxing Champion in the Navy was stationed in The BRITISH Solomon Islands..He was preparing for a fight in a ring. A small chinese man named Tong Gee Hsing was watching him fight. Prior to this No American knew of Karate or Gung fu. It was believed Boxing was The most superior unarmed combat in the World. Tong Gee Hsing asked That Boxer to teach him Boxing. The American said no Hsing challenged him and Beat him..cont

  • @killerofmygeneration That Boxer asked Hsing to Teach him. That Boxer went on to train with various Masters of Okinawan Karate, etc. In 1946 That Man Opened the First Dojo in America. Fighting Greats such as Bill Superfoot Wallace(He fought Chuck Norris in the movie The Octogon & A Force of One) and Joe lewis were trained by that former Boxer. His name was Robert Trias, he combined Okinawan Karate, Judo Jiujtsu and White Crane Gung Fu into an art called Shuri-Ryu he is my Teacher's Teacher.

  • @nandansho well thats a really nice story i like it now i know more thanks i did not know that at all but i haven't lost up to date on the street fighting against wrestlers, karate, tae kwon do, or mma fighters so yeah and at this moment i actually wanted to learn different styles of fighting and your so lucky i want your teacher well the bruce lee one haha but i was just saying in my case that a lot of other styles put boxing down and say bullshit like oh they are in the street now no ropes to

  • @killerofmygeneration Make no mistake, I appreciate Boxers, The Greatest Boxer in The World is Muhammad ALI BUT Ali was not just a Boxer he threw unorthodox Jabs and trained very different then Boxers of his Day. The reason why is because Ali was not just using "Boxing" in the ring Not many people know but Ali was pictured with Tae Kwon Do Master, Jhoon Rhee wearing a colored belt. Ali was using martial Arts in the "BOXING RING" Same with Roy Jones Junior and Kostya Tsu.

  • @nandansho Boxing IS a martial art.

  • @rawsnl Today "Martial Arts" is associated with Asians, People don't say ASIAN Martial Arts so much in Modern times. So I will state That The Boxers I mentioned incorporated "Eastern" Martial Arts in a Western Martial Art making Boxing an eclectic Art.

  • @killerofmygeneration So Think, A Millitary trained Boxer gets wasted by a chinese guy in Public. He Then trains with Asian Masters and combinds all his previous combat skills with Asian Skills and Produces The Greatest Fighters America has ever seen. So when I tell You I waste Boxers I'm not Bullshiting. I've fought Boxers, wrestlers Brazillian fighters, Tang Soo Do, Tae Kwon Do, etc I've beaten 95% of the folks I've engaged in STREET FIGHTS GROUND ETC. My 1st Teacher was Bruce lees student.

  • @nandansho theres no referee to stop them and it isn't true boxing is a great fighting style and i bet that it can take on any other style out there you just need the right fighters and like you said a small chinese dude against a middle weight see the weight difference put a feather weight they are faster but yeah boxing is good people need to stop trying to put fighting styles and say they are better cus it all depends on the fighter oh and teach me your fighting style id appreciate it please

  • @killerofmygeneration Wikipedia Robert Trias, and Shuri-Ryu..Then look up USKA ,thats the Nations 1st Karate Org that O'Sensei Trias started Check out "Superfoot" Bill Wallace(Undefeated Full contact Fighter for 15yrs) and Joe Lewis(fought Chuck Norris) here on you tube Peace

  • @jamieforget what style?

  • (sigh) karate is like the Dane Cook of martial arts.

  • @jamieforget Yes, But they are using hips NOTHING CLOSE to how much boxers are using hips.

  • @ThePadus karate is all about the hip.

  • @timSimt That's what she said...

  • @jamieforget gyaku tsuki is stronger than oi tsuki so you're wrong. anyway the technic of this model here is bad.

  • as much as i love watching this show, because you can learn a lot, im pretty sure if someone dropped a bowling ball on to you from the top of the house, that would do much more damage than a karate punch from a foot away

  • karate or boxing punch... whatever, power comes from momentum and force, so the faster the punch and more force that the puncher can produce, the more damage it will do. You cant just say that boxers are more muscular, or people who do karate are faster, its down to size and weight, and also training. To be honest, I'd rather not be in the way when either person starts swinging

  • Karate body punch generates LESS damage then boxing body punch. Tested and proved...

  • @ThePadus lol tested and proved, id like to see that report. there are too many variables to account for to accurately test that.

  • Comment removed

  • @BMunich16 Of course not. My hobby is science. I have tested which sword is better (longsword or katana) I have tested which car is better etc. Boxer use MORE of his shoulder and hips when punching. When karate guy twists his hand,it only adds 15% of damage because of momentum, while boxers gains about 40-45% of damage because more muscles is pushing fist toward opponent. It takes about 15 min to calculate that, if you know anatomy of course.Karate allso use hips and shoulders but not like boxers

  • grandma come here for a sec

  • I love causing soft tissue damage

  • what's all that bullshit in white?

  • @brianstrtglw Oh and all that bullshit in white is called "mathematics"

  • holy shit i tried this and i went flying O_O

  • Their scientific explanations make me imagine this:

"They key to this move is hip alignment, and rapid hip movement. The missionary position can generate enough friction to make a white explosion. It can cost you hundreds of dollars after nine months because of labor fees, and thousands more in the future due to tuition fees, health care, and other expenses."

  • if u drop a bowling ball on some1 from the top of the house itll do more than braking a rib...

  • @dxbRa3elVTCdxb he said "if done correctly" IF...

  • @danielxdglaciuus lol exactly

  • @paulbuss hahah and sometines he say: "is like being hit by a sledgehammer" LOL

  • @dxbRa3elVTCdxb Well, not if it only hits them in the ribs...

  • "the tickle can cause alot of damage. not only does it cause giggling, it can also make your penis explode and bleedout in a matter of seconds"

  • "the tickle can cause alot of damage. not only does it cause giggling, i can also make your penis explode and bleedout in a matter of seconds"

  • whose house we talking bout here my house's height or the wight house height

  • lmao this chats so much shit, next will be a pinky thrust delivering the energy of a high speed train :L

  • The power of this punch actually comes from your whole body, mainly your hips, not your arms.

  • @DrDaxon arm plays a big part too u have to admit that , hips do the first turn and arm finishes the whole momentum

  • @LOWRIDE84 not really, pushing too hard with your arms will just make you get tired faster. The hips should be the main source of power, if you want to endure more.

  • @CiliaDarren good point, i suppose that's true

  • 0:00

Because of course, the major thing I'm concerned about when defending myself is getting out a protractor and making sure my arm angle is perfect.

  • @DepressedAnimeAddict you don't have to. If you train enough it becomes muscle memory and you automatically execute it like you automatically pick up an object, or move on your legs without thinking

  • I trained in karate for 7 years I was taught that the power of the punch comes from the torque of your whole body not just your punching arm. This shit's for noobs.

  • @Canadianvoice lol Why must everyone, use the term *noob now'ah days..:)

  • @Canadianvoice from what i learned in karate is that your arms are like pullys, when one moves the other should move as well

  • but the physics behind it are all bull shit and do not even match the movements

  • I was watching this when there were my game cases next to me

    5 seconds later

my cases are across the floor

  • this is why you dont fuck with nerds you dont know lol

  • i'm rly glad they tought me how to throw a punch.. i thought it should be done with the hand open.. shame on me

  • Punch a retard in the chest using the technique, it really wakes them up!

  • @MrElkrick faggot

  • It works, i use it in Practices, Remember always Cover up

  • @UrsusIratissimus I don't know what the mgh bit is, but KE=1/2 mv^2 is the formula for kinetic energy expended in an event (such as the impact of a fist on the human body).

  • I'm a white belt right now and I can't seem to hit the target with my first two knuckles unless I bend my wrist significantly downward. If I keep my wrist straight the finger knuckles hit first because they protrude past my hand knuckles in a tight fist.

  • Funny thing is, this is the only move you learn as a white belt.

so, you can effectively hurt someone as a white belt... nice.

  • @rorshachfan Yup
