i don't know. i think in some cases, this NOT being one of them, that a band can cover a song better than the original. this can only be done however if it's one of those covers that doesn't try to sound exactly like the original. personally i think their intro is better than metallica's mostly due to the fact that it sounds like it was made to be played on cello. but then again this entire debate, for lack of a better word, is all based on opinon. if you don't agree w/ me then i can't do shit

I prefer Metallica's version, but this is a damn good tribute. I like these guys. They did something new and out of the box. It could have been a complete failure, but they've sky rocketed with metal fans. I wouldn't be surprised if Metallica liked them.

umm i could play cello too u know... but cellos are older, their design just makes less sense than guitars design... i guess to me frets are somewhat of a relief, and hammerons, pullofs, bends, and not having to use that annoying horsehair bow are just bonuses... honestly, the thing i hated most about cello was using that bow made a scratchy sound, guitar is just a better feel... good sound on any instrument... umm i guess guitar, drums, piano, cello are my only ones... how bout u? =D
