Hi! Duck 1 and Duck 2 here! We have a channel all about ducks! Posting videos at least every other Saturday! We already have 3 videos up and we would like for you to come by and by liking, subscribing, and commenting! Come by!
@MulticoloredFishs Aww its so great your thinking about getting a baby duck! It only takes a few months before they start getting close to their full grown size. My ducks are Call Ducks, so they only get about the size of a football. Make sure you look into the kind of duck you are getting, some can get really really big, other will stay quite small. We kept them inside when they were small, and when they started getting their feathers we put them outside in an old bunny hutch with their lamp.
@MulticoloredFishs I can imagine they would be ok inside, but they really really do love the grass, and the mud, and the rain, and their little swimming pool, so if its possible, try and let them spend as much time outside as possible, and they will love you for it! :D
when you get them as babies, you have to have a heating lamp, especially if they are very young, look online for more tips! Hope everything goes well! if you have any more questions, please ask! :)
@MulticoloredFishs i owned a goose a year ago, he was so amazing he was my true friend. i would keep him indoors until i saw the sign of feathers and when theyre crap was filthier. he wasnt like a bunny or hamster i saw in him a real personality. but sadly a pack of stray dogs killed him and fucked up my neighbors lamb. i miss him so much he would always shower and he was so kind. trust me a goose or a duck is so much fun to have. but gooses dont fly and are 3x bigger. they trun adult in 4 mont
Nawww! I imagine it would start follow you around eventually if you had it longer. :')
We had to raise a lamb over here because the mother didn't have enough milk for it, and eventually it followed us everywhere. Baby animals are the best thing in the world. <3
@heavyghost102 Yes, I took this the day after the other video, and didn't upload this one until after the baby duck video started getting a lot of views and a few commenters asked to see more of it.
@ESCTASTEC Have you ever held one? Their bite couldn't hurt your finger unless you were a newborn. Maybe not even then. Even the big ones do not hurt that much on the rare occasion that they bite. My geese on the other hand, they do bite hard when they want to. But even they don't scare me one bit.
I actually had two full grown ducks hanging out in my pool for a while in the fall one year.
I would go out every morning and feed them a little bit of bread and since I did it EVERY morning they actually would come and start honking outside like 'WE'RE HERE, FEED US NOW!!!" and eventually they trusted me enough to let me hand feed them.
It was pretty cool- especially since it was a male first and then he brought his female partner. She let me pet her at one point even. =D
@yinzersunite a) youtube is free, I don't know what "money" you're being ripped off of that you feel zero dollars and zero cents is something you need to haggle. b) You're on YOUTUBE. If your time was really that important that it's worth getting haughty about, you wouldn't be on this site clicking random videos. c) This is to display how cute a duck is. It's not for "lol"s or "lmao"s, it's for "aww"s.
@yinzersunite Take your finger out of your ass and put it in your mouth. That way, you'll be eating dinner, and we won't have to read your idiotic ranting.
@yinzersunite Everyone is entitled to their stupid opinion/rant. Oh by the way this should take you about 13 seconds to read. So I just wasted 13 more seconds of your life.............SUCKA.
@yinzersunite Yeah and you wasted like a minute or two of your life by posting that comment that's why I learned to type so fast so I don't waste my time even though I'm just twelve right now...
@yinzersunite what money? its not donald duck, it wont talk or do something funny. if it did, then elephants would be flying around on their ears. yo wasted more than 13 seconds writing that. it was supposed to be a video of A BABY DUCK. what are u expecting it to do? expode into glitter? ur moneys worth, who gives a crap? if this really happened, sucks for you.
@kittenwithagun its just a myth they die, you can raise any bird. how do you think pet stores raise birds torkulguy? duh, google it. im getting 50 baby pheasants on the 22cd! they're going to be two days old! they're in there eggs right now <3333333
@Torkulguy All hatchling birds can survive separated from their mothers if given sufficient care. My grandmother breeds Love birds, and every once in awhile a newborn chick is rejected. They're naked, blind and smaller then a pinky-finger; yet she's managed to raise most (if not all of them) by hand into adulthood.
Ducks are much more "matured" coming out of their eggs and so it's quite easy to raise them (if you know how to do it of course). I myself have raised many ducks from the egg.
@Torkulguy Um no? We had two ducklings grow into full grown ducks. They were perfectly healthy and not social to humans. Until they got hit by a car =C
Ducks are actually one of the most self-sufficent of birds, right from the moment they hatch they are capable of swimming and finding and eating their own food. In fact their is a species of duck that lays its eggs in the nests of other birds. As soon as the egg hatches the new baby duck gets up and leaves to live on its own.

@sharpshooter33 Sadly, animal shelters are full of kitties, and few people choose them. -so sad that most cats in shelters are pts. Cats are extremely intelligent and underestimated. Many more cats are homeless, or put to sleep, than are dogs. It goes virtually unnoticed. have 2 cats, and feed 2 more, outside.. If only funds for more.
I love your little duckie. What a precious story, and it faced a better future than our homeless felines.
