  • I have the same problem with my revlon 1 1/2 inch curling iron! I will curl a strand of hair that's about 8 inches long but only the bottom 4 inches will be/stay curled. :(

  • try Remington, it got ceramic, teflon as well as tourmaline together,so protects hair from damage much better. i just got one(3/4 inch) & like it using it

  • I've always loved Conair curling irons. I have a Revlon one too and was not a fan. Conair makes crappy products other than curling irons (flat irons), but Revlon makes decent flat irons for the money.

  • Does Revlon 3/4 inch curling iron works good ?

  • I have the Revlon curling iron 1 1/2 as well and no matter how long i held it in my hair as u said it wouldn't curl! so i decided to search for some videos for help, and i found a video made by >> TheDinoSteph: How to curl your hair tutorial Easy!. helped very much! so maybe watch that and it will help you

  • extenstion cord...

  • I have the same conair curling iron! I love it.My curls stay in the whole. But i dont have problems with heat setting changing. I guess it all depends how u curl your hair. Do you have a hair tutorial of you curling your hair with the conair iron?

  • $12??? wahhhh

  • @itsssannie It depends on how long your hair is too And what type of curl you want....a 1 1/2 won't give much curl just a slight wave... 1 1/4 is my favorite && Hot tools are the best curling irons. Available at Ulta :) Happy Curling

  • I wasn't sure what kind of curling iron I needed and then I found this website..it's awesome I was clueless before haha curling-iron.pikimal.com

  • I bought the Revlon Curling Iron 1 1/2 and I was

frustrated cause it never came out, but now I know I'm

not the only one with the same problem. :/

    In my opinion -- I don't recommend it. >_>

  • @WendyG0820 just wrap it around. don't use the clip

  • Very helpful, thanks.

  • thanks that was really helpful : )

  • omg i have thhe same one from revelon ( the big one) and i dont like it at all cuz i agree it takes FOREVER.

  • @haleybabeyyy yesshs

  • Revlon 1 1/2 inch curling iron so true! i have the EXACT same one! i curled it and the bottem layer looked straight lol, thanks i though it was just how i did it

  • i had the same problem dont recommend

  • Try taking out the two nuts or fasteners at the sides of the iron. There you will be able to bend down the tight spring and make the handle looser. I did that with my Conair. Take out the silver saddle that is attached to the iron, pull out the two fasteners at the sides and bent the tight spring with pliers, Please use goggles, do not do this in the bathroom where the fastners can pop out into your sink or tub, like mines almost did. My curling iron breezes right through my hair now, love it.

  • im trying to decide either to get a 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 inch curling iron.

i already have a 3/4 inch and i've been using it for like 3 years and i love it! it is a Conair one.

but i dont know either to get 1 1/4 or 1 1/2. i want to see pictures of how each one comes out.

  • @itsssannie the smaller the barrel, the tighter the curls will be. its all up to personal preference. 1 1/4 inch is my favorite, because the curls are loose enough to be wavy/sexy, but tight enough to stay. the 1 1/2 inch one gives the victoria secret curls but you really have to hair spray it to have it last.

  • @megha8359 thanks for replying! i think i will prob get the 1 1/4 inch but im still not 100% sure cause they are only 1/4 inch apart. i just really wish i could try both out. lol

  • Thanks soo much that was really helpful!!!

  • intro is way too long

  • If You want best results plz go to ur local salon and ask for a good curling iron or get the "herstyler"

  • i will as soon as my camera is back from being repaired!

  • i have the conair 1 1/4 inch curler i got it for eatser and idk how to use it can u do a tutorial on how to?

  • I suggest a 1 1/4 conair iorn much better :)

  • thank you for the review!

i've been researching curling irons myself

if you're not satisfied with the revlons or conairs

then you should try the brand Hot Tools

it's a good brand and curls well

    and it costs around $30

  • does Hot Tools cut down on styling time? thats one of my biggest concerns bc i have a lot of hair and curling it takes so long!

  • i don't think hot tools cuts down the time but it does curl well and the curls don't fall out as much

  • @cowflea im definitely going to try that out. thanks so much!

  • @megha8359 I use Hot Tools . I have the 3/4, 1 inch and the 1 1/4 inch curling irons and its definately worth it. It heats up quickly compared tu others and u get the curls u want

  • curl you hair with a flat iron... it holds longer and if u want the softer look you curl a piece then brush it and it gives a soft 'roller' look. x

  • @swexymofo66 iv tried it but my curls always look different on both sides of my face =(

  • You look lovely. Face and hair are really looking lovely.

  • @MichyGW thanks michelle!
