The Federal Trade Commission today stepped up its ongoing campaign against scammers who falsely promise guaranteed jobs and opportunities to “be your own boss” to consumers who are struggling with unemployment and diminished incomes as a consequence of the economic downturn. “Operation Empty Promises,” a multi-agency law enforcement initiative today announced more than 90 enforcement actions including FHTM.
your getting closer ... why do you think these partys really pretend to hait each other and then after elections kick it with each other and take pictures and have a drink ... look out side the box were all at the bottom black white brown yellow and theres a few families run by rockefeler ... research eugenics and the drug war research it .. how bout does your vote even count research that
Can't decide whether the host, Mark Kelley, was just trying to play an ill-timed devil's advocate or whether he just didn't "get it"! Either way, his handling of this seemed out quite out of step with CBC's usual "savvy' when it comes to historical integrity. This Canadian is not impressed!
are people still shocked that there is rampant censourship in the states???? i sure am not..... this whole contraversy has only made me want to watch it.... and being Canadian i still have that right
Thank you Robert Greenwald! The History Channel should be called "The Propaganda Channel". Just look at their program on the Kennedy assassination! Lone gunman Lee Harvey Oswald from the Texas School Book Depository all the way!
2 googs says that the reagan thing that the fucking republicans didnt want to air was truth on the shit that happened during the reagan administration and the republicans where like no we cant let this get out it will destroy us this on the kennedys is 100% bullshit that the republicans want to air to make it so the kennedys look bad and try to pass it off as the truth there is a major difference
awesome i hope this never airs and never will and if it airs and canada that isnt so bad caz canada has a better educational system so they would most likely know whats on TV is usually fake and gay
I'm glad this got banned in USA but my mom watched here in Canada and said some really outlandish things about Kennedy. I showed her the lies in it but jeeze this is BS. Kennedy wasn't perfect but he was one of the greatest leaders ever and he wanted to close the Federal Reserve, that's why he was killed.
@dopeskies mark kelly is a canadian. Here in Canada we have a public owned newschannel (CBC news network, which is a crown corporation and gets most of it's budget from taxpayers) and we try to avoid journalists with oppinions. To keep transparent.
@notscooter952 I know this all very well being born and raised in Vancouver. And oddly enough seems like Kelly and Solomon are the most opinionated tools of all especially on the flotilla incident it was an embarrassment to Canada. watch solomon vs chomsky or dawkins gets completely torn apart
@dopeskies I'd say Rich Mercer is the only liberal in Canadian news. I'd say the same of Rex Murphy because of his opinions on the federal government, but he actually ran as a PC out in newfoundland awhile ago.
@notscooter952, transparency to the point of obfuscation. on th CBC, there are 4 words you cannot say in the same sentence as "israel": "occupation", "apartheid", "war crimes" and "boycott".
Honestly I think on the left we'd do better slaughtering sacred cows. Kennedy was no liberal neither are Clinton and Obama, we have nothing to lose by purging the corporatist royalty out of what is supposed to be the people's party. Whatever your opinion of them as people these three men are a huge liability to the movement and their "centrism" is the top culprit in the lefts appeasement and outright adoption of Reaganomics.
@furseiseki But liberals are apologists by nature. We understand that humans have flaws and foibles, and allow that. The right wing smear machine sees that only as weakness. Empathy has no place in their world of politics. Kennedy is still viewed by most conservatives as a bastion of liberalism, even though he wasn't, and allowing a factually inaccurate character smear takes away a symbol. To paraphrase Batman, "People need symbols" - and the left as much as anyone because of Obama's weakness.
@mexcurmudgeon I don't think apologist is quite the right word. Liberals are generally more accepting of human flaws as you say, but to say someone is an apologist has certain connotations. An apologist is someone who tries to paper over the flaws in whatever they're representing to give a oftentimes unmerited favorable outlook. Here liberals were trying to prevent an unmerited unfavorable outlook.
Other than that nit-pick I think you're quite right.
@hawklord2001 Absolutely. Unfortunately Obama has managed to dupe large numbers of people into thinking that he is somehow not a warmongering imperialist, leaving him even more free to butcher and terrorize the world.
@undeadpresident Unfortunately we in this part of the world tend to benefit from warmongering and U.S. imperialism(even when many of us dislike it) so I don't imagine things will change. Its the same with climate change denial. We benefit so much from the evil oil companies that I see no real way to change things.
@furseiseki I disagree on Kennedy not being a liberal. Why do you think he was killed? Because he was a true populist. Maybe not a perfect one but as close to a true populist president as we got in the 60s.
I think at this point, the mythos concerning the Kennedy's will be forever dramatized, it was always the case. When people look at the Kennedy's, they see the mythos and the fantasy of Kennedy, the show pretty much upholds it. When people think of Nixon, they think of a troll like figure, or when thinking of LBJ, they think of a curmudgeony old man who redeems himself with civil rights (Actually, that's pretty accurate). Anyways, visual media never gets any politician accurate at all, so what?
Boycott A&E and History Channel.

He looks weak, because he only pretends to be on the side of the people. In reality, he is a sold-out corporate politician.
