it's true that the more we lock down ideas and processes, the more the constrict the flow of ideas and the evolution of thought. nobody should be able to own an idea, or anything in nature. if we cannot share things, we cannot survive, or evolve.

Girl Talk says he's thinking about putting out an album for free. Does that mean he's been charging money for the new sound that he's created by putting other people's work together?

He's given himself a brand name ( Girl Talk ) and he charges money for his 'art' . He's selling his fans on the idea that he's doing it for them when it's obvious that he's just creating a cash cow for himself. It's like LEVI Jeans conning people into thinking that LEVI

its about copyrighting not about making money. More, its about life, human evolution, and "laws" preventing such a thing, or at least trying to.

He accepts donations in lieu of charging payments for his work. People are still free to accept donated money, right?

its not that maybe he is gonna ask money for his cd when he puts one out.. Its about the fact that he would never ever copyright his music so that others cannot use any of it.. its all bout sharing and not so much about making money..
